He was meaning to talk with her. He nodded once more to Oakmoon, “send out border patrol soon I have to go for a bit.” He walked over to Thunderhowl, “hello, have you gotten use to being back into the clan?” He hummed softly as he tilted his head to her wanting to see how she was doing.

Riverclaw agreed with Silverbrook, showing her with a nod as he listened. Next he leaned down towards the mouse to take another bite, but made sure to keep his gaze on the she-cat. The idea of having a family one day did sound really nice. Plus, his current blood family member was Jaguarpaw and it’s not like his brother will stay small for long. “No worries, Silverbrook. I actually quite enjoyed myself and talking about this with you.” He meowed after he swallowed his food, pushing the rest of the mouse to her, “It gives me something to look forward to.”

"Don't worry about it, it's fine." Jaguarpaw shrugged, not too worried about how Crestpaw reacted, she was entitled to her feelings after all. Besides, the tom wasn't the easiest to deal with either sometimes, he knew he could become overbearing sometimes. However, he hoped this wouldn't bite him on the tail in the future by the she-cat dwelling on the conversation. No way, that would happen. Right? Crestpaw isn't like that.

A mental note was made of her opinion, mostly because he agreed with it. What she said was the case usually or at least he thought so. That didn't change the fact that there was still a chance out there for any cat who showed potential of being the next deputy if anything were to happen to Oakmoon or Duststar. "Still, don't you think one can start to hope when there is a future deputy needed? Unless, Starclan interferes then... I guess that's that." He responded, thinking a bit more about what he said, realizing he didn't like the thought of Starclan lowering a cat's chance at being the next deputy.

Walking into the warrior's den, the only cat he noticed in the den was Splashrun and couldn't help but feel a little bad. Splashrun hadn't had her ceremony all that long ago, she probably hasn't adjusted to being a warrior just yet. "Splashrun. Time to get up." He spoke a bit louder than he usually would, he couldn't remember if she was a heavy sleeper or not.

”Of course, there should be no shame. At least I think so.” Riverclaw meowed, placing his tail on hers in an attempt to reassure her. “To each their own, but I for one will not shy away.” He hoped that by showing his confidence it would make her more at ease as well. Riverclaw was so invested in his talk with Silverbrook he almost didn’t notice when Oakmoon made her way towards them.

“Alright,” he answered Oakmoon quickly with glance, then turned to Silverbrook. “I’m sorry, I guess I have to go. I enjoyed our talk though!” A little guilt about leaving at first, but it was shaken off so he could focus on his task at paw. He’d be leading a patrol, he was glad Oakmoon felt he should be in charge. “We can talk next time we are both in camp with free time,” he offered to the she-cat, shooting a friendly smile.

Fishing had always come easy to them. With their slender body and natural grace, fishing was probably was one of the things that they were best at. They hadn't been very good at it in the beginning, but that was because they had an issue with timing. Something that could with a little work be easily trained out. Crouching down at the edge of the riverbank, making sure that their shadow wasn't over the rushing water. There was one thing that couldn't be trained out of someone. Impatience. It was one of their biggest flaws, at least to them. They tried their best, but one thing his mentor had taught them, was that not everything came easy. And something never came at all. So for now - or forever - Fadedember would have to deal with it, one way or another.
Thankfully, a flash of silver caught their eye soon after. With a grin, a paw flashed forward, all but ripping the fish out of the river. Quickly the young feline delivered a killing blow after it landed on the forest floor. They glanced around once more, then decided to maybe get one or two more fish before heading back to camp.

She relaxed further as the tom accepted her apologise, the beginnings of a smile finding its way to her maw. Nodding, at the next bit of information, the male seemed to swallow, though she noticed that it seemed to leave a bad taste in his mouth. Crestpaw didn't blame him if she had ever had the desire to become deputy or leader one day, the fact that cats long dead, could interfear would be a bit of an annoyance. Once upon a time, Crestpaw would have seen Starclan as the ultimate authority, do all and tell all kind of thing. But now, after her mother and siblings had abandoned the clan, abandoned her, without so much as a second thought and without looking back? Well, she saw them for what they were. Dead cat's meddling with the lives of others when they weren't needed, and doing nothing when they were.
While yes, Crestpaw could have gone to Dogface or even Tinypaw for guidance, she had looked toward Starclan. She had looked to the stars for guidance, whispered prayers every night before she slept. And nothing. Not a peep. Not even the rustling of leaves in the wind. She'd been a bit grumpy for about after a moon, but thankfully she'd been back as her usual self as of late. Shaking her morose thoughts from her head, the she-cat turned her head to Jaguarpaw, "Nevermind them. Let's find something better to talk about."

He was patiently waiting for his mentor, but the patience was running slow, he was getting bored that almost anything could be fun, like changing moss or whatever.
