He flicked an ear and his eyes went wide with surprise. She liked him? Well that was a surprise for him. He wondered if his mother knew. She most likely did know, knowing her. ”Wait.....Really....For how long....?” he asked her. He could remember when he was just 4 months old, his mother had found Jessie. He was still a pup himself then but a bit older. He didn’t pay much attention since he was busy preparing for his role as a hunter.


He was taught by both Warren and also Reeves who was appointed lead Hunter, at the time. So he really didn’t have much time for fun unless it was with his mother but even then he hardly had time to play around. He sure did miss those puppy days that’s for sure.

He looked to Jason, and said “Okay, yes, more is always better.” He turned golden eyes to the white furred warrior then. “Yuki!” the brown wolf said, and moved his paws a bit. The sunlight coming at the right angle hit white toes.

The sweet and gentle red but fiery and shy she wolf hummed a canine sound. She then moved her white tipped tail a bit. She squeaked a bit, then said “Maybe since we were like eight months old? I know for sure when we were a year. Maybe it was a year and a couple months,” she told the male wolf.

She hummed a canine sound as she then looked around a bit. She yawned and twitched an ear, and her nose for some reason. She then shook her head, and looked back to her crush once more.

The male blinked his eyes at her response and wasn’t sure what to say about it. It took him a while for it to finally process and register in his mind. ”Oh wow really....For that long huh? I’m guessing my mother knows....?” he asked her, though he already knew the answer. “There’s something that I have to tell you....I like you too Jessie...” he added. It was only fair since she expressed her feelings about him.

”Doesn’t surprise me at all that she knows. Kind of figured that she knew.” he told her and then felt his face flush a bit when she mentioned the word “mate”. He wasn’t sure about that one. “Hmm I’m not that sure.... I don’t think so even though we have admitted our feelings to one another. A question would have to be asked in order for that to even happen.” he added, flicking an ear. He thought about it for a moment or so, and turned to face her. The brute wagged his tail and smiled softly at her when she said yes. He licked her gently in response and sighed softly. Nymira came over to check on Kiri and saw the two huddled together. ” Well look what we have here. Two young love birds. I hate to bother you both, but Kiri needs some sleep. Don’t worry you can check on him later. He needs some more healing and plus he’s one of the best hunters we’ve got.” she said with a smile and Kiri nodded his head. He knew his mother was right. He learned all that he could from Reeves and also from Warren.

”I will take you to his den. You can relax there if you want.” she said, leading the way to the den. Most wolves had their own separate dens based on ranks, but everyone had their own separate one but the alphas. The alphas were higher up than the others, close to the waterfall. Others got to pick and choose where their dens are, and the hunters chose different spots. Kiri had picked his in a nice secluded area but not that far away from everyone.


Nymira walked the path along the stream to where her son’s den was. It was nestled in between rocks on each side and the stream nearby. “You can relax here if you want. Or whatever it is you want to do. But the healers need time with Kiri, to make sure that he’s all healed up.” she explained.
