Now this is a thread I haven’t seen active in a hot minute, glad to see it’s not been entirely forgotten-

I’ve recently been playing a genocide run on my switch, I’m surprised I didn’t struggle too much with Undyne, but I think having beat Jevil about 30-ish times had prepared me for her non-green soul attacks, it’s Sans I have yet to beat though. I’m so so so close, I keep getting to his last attack before dying and can usually get to the midway point of his fight before having to heal as well as being able to consistently dodge his first attack without taking damage. I think a little more practice with conserving damage in the later attacks and I should get there, then I plan to practice both him and Undyne enough to the point I can fight them casually like I do with Jevil.

Hehey, we're back!

I'm totally not still a fanatic. I have a run in progress on my computer but when everybody started working I can't get to it as often- waiting to go back to that though >:)

Been trying to dive into the fanwork side I missed when it first came out. It's a mess beyond messes, but it's been time enough that you can avoid the weirdest stuff and people have already compiled the best works. It's some good stuff- I feel like I want more of it but the singular game is so good that I don't want any sort of sequel lol

So I finished nuetral and pacifist and I loveddddd pacifist so much.
It was really emotional to see all of my friends there with me, fighting to help me T^T
Ive had to restart for genocide twice because I didn't kill enough monsters

Also, quick questions, can someone please tell me how i can get undertale on linux beta? Im tryna get it on my chromebook, and im having some trouble. (whenever i go into terminal and type the command to retrieve teh undertale files, it says there arent any, but i very clearly downloaded them.)

I completely forgot to post on here at the time, but I finally beat Sans a few weeks ago :’)
It was painstaking towards the end, but the feeling of satisfaction when finally landing that fatal blow is something that I don’t know will ever be topped in my favourite experiences in games.

Since then I decided to start a second genocide run purely because I wanted to fight Undyne and Sans again, and I actually ended up discovering something quite neat. Upon reaching Sans I decided that reguardless of whether I beat him, I would reload to the save before his fight so I can do it over and over without having to wait through that painful 15 minutes to get the game back at the end and preform another run. During this time, I have beaten him two more times, which upon reloading the save actually gives you new dialogue. The first time reloading after killing he will say the following:

“*...
*That expression that you’re wearing...
*...
*Well I won’t grace it with a description.”

Probably under the assumption the save was reloaded accidentally and mocking the players frustration.
However, killing him a second time after this and reloading, he will say:

“*...
*That expression that you’re wearing...
*...
*You’re really kind of a freak, huh?”

This time recognizing that I am doing this out of enjoyment, and I feel so called out lmao-
I don’t know if there’s any more dialogue or if it just repeats after that, but I’ll definitely report back here when I kill him again.
