You walk into the lab. Pokemon are running around, having fun with each other and trainers are choosing their first pokemon. You walk up to the professor who greets you. "A lot of people are coming here this morning, it's hard to keep track of everyone's names. Who are you again?" You smile and introduce yourself, again. The professor nods. "You wanted a grass type, right? Well come on, then." You follow the professor to a place where there's only grass types. There's a few trainers in here that the professor is talking to- but never mind that, it's time to take your pick. You look over all of the pokemon and see a couple of Balbasaurs lying in the middle. One of them raises it's head and calls to you. "Balba!" It walks over to you and you know that this one will be your starter.

Syn can't help but smile with glee at the little grass-type. "Fleur," he concludes after a moment of thought. "I'll name her Fleur." He looks down at the cheery Bulbasaur and smiles at her approval of the name. "Thank you so much! I'll make sure to write when I can." With that, Syn takes his leave with Fleur close behind him. They both seem just as excited as the other to start a new adventure together.

The new duo race their way toward route 1, where just about every trainer starts their adventure in the region. Syn's excited to have a Kanto starter. So many little toys and plushes he owns are of them, and now he has one! Not only that but the very pokemon that formed his love for grass-types in the first place. He'd keep that to himself for now though. Wouldn't want to come off too excited about all this now, would he?

The cyndaquil trilled happily and bounded over to Emilia who had crouched down, arms open to hug her pokemon who barreled right into her with a happy squeak. "I'm so proud of you! And a new move, look at you go!" she laughed, standing up again with Genesis perched on her shoulder. "C'mon, let's get this parcel delivered and get past route 1." "Quil!"

"ah yes, i was expecting you today! it's time to pick your first pokemon, so that you can begin your adventure!" the professor said. the professor walked to the back of the room with liam, after liam requested to look at the water starter's. however, there was only one.

when liam entered the room, the pokemon smiled, and waddled over.

it's a piplup!

"this is the one" the professor said, handing you your own pokedex and pokeballs. "and now, you're ready to go!"❜

“Thank you Professor!” I said to the Professor. The Piplup hugs my leg which I found adorable. I go down to Piplup’s level “I think I’ll name you Pip! Ready to start our unforgettable journey together?” I say as I gave Pip a pat on the head.

Pip was eager to start the journey with me and starts waddling over to the door. I get up to follow Pip over to the door as I said my thanks to the Professor again. We head outside to begin our journey.

I notice something rustling in a nearby patch of grass. “Hm? What’s there?” I said as I go over to investigate with Pip

the path was silent for a minute. alicia was thinking, and the shroomish seemed to be tried out. let’s catch it, alicia thought. she sucked in another breath, and reached into her bag for a pokeball. her hands curled around it, and she pulled it out slowly. now was the time of truth, to see if she could catch the pokémon. alicia glanced at shy, the froakie seemed ok.

releasing her breath, alicia threw the ball at the shroomish.

"Oh my goodness, Quil! Another shiny?!" I look down at him and he stares at the Servine with a confused look but seems excited to go play with them. "Quil... I don't know if you understand what I mean when I say it's quite risky..." Quil seemed to understand and lowers his head upsettingly. "OK, fine! We can go see if they want to play with you, maybe you can even try and battle them if they wouldn't mind." Quil quickly dashed toward them as soon as I finish my sentence with an excited expression. A stroll behind him but I keep my distance just in case they are hostile or skittish. Imidiantly, Servine and Heatmore look up at the noise of us passing through the bushes. Heatmore's expression turned aggressive as he hopped in front of Servine to protect it, although there was no need for that. Quil ran towards the heatmore, smiling happily, "Quil, lava lavaaaaa!" I didn't quite understand his exact words but the heatmore sure did. Both the heatmore and Quil squared up for battle as the clever servine sat a few short paces away, curious to see how everything played out.

You follow Fleur into route 1, suddenly, the little seed pokemon pauses, then bursts into a run. "Balba!" Fleur says, as you stumble along a golden pinecone. You wonder why Fleur seems so interested until you see its eyes open and it hops away! This is a Pineco, not a pinecone! "Pine!" It sounds scared, but then a trainer comes along, yelling at the bagworm pokemon. "There you are! Get in the ball, stupid pinecone!" A young trainer says, trying to grab it. The trainer seems to be holding one pokeball, and it seems to be their only one. The Pineco backs into a tree and the trainer puts it in his ball! It clicks, showing it was captured and the boy spins around to see you. "Trainer!" The kid yells. "Let's battle with my newly caught pokemon!" The kid sends out the Pineco, it looks scared and doesn't want to battle. "Pineco! What are you doing! Use tackle!" The kid commands pointing at Fleur. The Pineco doesn't move, clearly not wanting to fight for this kid.

A level 5 shiny Pineco! It won't be safe in this trainer's hands, will you try to rescue it?

Tank repeats the move again! The Houndour looks dazed now, it seems you've weakened it a lot! The Houndour uses Howl again, not bothering to attack, or maybe it's just waiting until it can hit the hardest? Opponent's attack raised by 1!

Heatmore bends down to have a closer look at the smaller pokemon. A small flame puffs from the Heatmore's snout as it backs away, it begins to relax and Servine comes over. "Serrrrr-- vine!" The shiny Servine spoke, quite elegantly. It appeared to be a greeting as Quil responded back in a friendly tone. It wasn't long until the Servine and Heatmore noticed you, the Heatmore began talking to your Cyndaquil who nodded proudly. Servine trotted over, eyeing you with it's big red eyes, while standing a little bit away. Quil mimicked the Servine playfully, it was quite cute. Heatmore stood a little off to the side, looking a little lonely. "Mooooree!" It yelled, spooking little Quil and catching the Servine's attention. The two wild pokemon ran off to speak with each other. It was a little while until the two pokemon approached you. The Servine bent down and looked calm, like it wanted you to be its trainer, the Heatmore, however, kept nosing (quite literally) at your bag. It's like they want to join you on your adventure!
