Half-Life is a science fiction first-person shooter video game developed by Valve Software, the company's debut product and the first in the Half-Life series. First released by Sierra Studios on November 19, 1998, the game was also released for the PlayStation 2 on November 14, 2001.[2] In Half-Life, players assume the role of Dr. Gordon Freeman, a theoretical physicist who must fight his way out of a secret underground research facility, whose research and experiments into teleportation technology have gone disastrously wrong.

You know I nearly gave up searching for something like this? :O How comes I didn't notice this thread before, after all I'm sure I searched for one multiple times...

So uh... this didn't get shelled, did it? No Ravenholm situation?

Either way, I'm a huge fan of the Half-Life series ... admittedly, the only ones I've been able to play are Half-Life 2 and episodes, but I've read up/watched the original, as well as Blue Shift and Opposing Force. I'm not really sure if I could name my favorite part of the series so far, it's all been incredibly solid and fun to play. I also love the characterization of just... everyone, my favorite characters are Alyx and Barney (... okay, and d0g. And the vortigaunts. And those two guys in the antlion mines...). Alyx especially, and I was quite glad that you got to stick with her through most of Episode 1 and 2

I'm also still holding out hope that we'll see Chell show up in... whatever Valve does to follow up Episode 2, she's got way too much potential to just leave behind!
