Evie turned to Amber. "Hey, would you like me to show you where anything is?" She wasn't usually one to talk a lot (in a non-sarcastic manner) but she felt the need to be as friendly as possible towards 1st years. She'd had some pretty terrible experiences as a 1st year. "Ooh, have you seen the fairy hangout spot? I can't really go there but I can show you where it is," she offered, "or somewhere like the music department? My step-brother is such a music geek, he won't spend any time hanging out with you and the other fairies, only in the music place." She chuckled.

Sarin was glad that Jason had at least laughed at his joke. Maybe his sense of humour would prevent him from being totally rejected as a roommate by Jason. He grinned and slid his guitar out from underneath his bed. Its black hard-case concealed it. He stood towards the door. "Hey, do you know of any place I could go to practice music? Is there a specific area or something? I have no idea, Evie told me absolutely nothing about this place."

Amber's light out a bit. "They have a fairy hangout and a music area! Do that have an art area?" She just started flying off with a lot of questions. She was excited.

Jason looked at his guitar case. "You trying to get every girl after you or something?" He asked joking. "Yeah I will show you we don't need you getting lost." He got up from his desk

Evie smiled at the look brought to Amber's face. "There is a whole art block, with all of the arts; music, canvas, digital, dance, drama, you name it!" She explained. Evie laughed as Amber got all excited and rushed around the room, flapping her purple wings. "Let's go and look at that now, shall we?" She suggested to Amber.

Sarin chuckled and looked at the floor. "I want to be a musician. But I can't conceal my wings forever. So I came here. I know I can't play music in the human world. But it's safe at this school." He confessed. He followed Jason. "Thanks for taking me."

"Pretty Please?" Amber asked in the middle of jumping up and down plus accidentally shrinking to be tiny from her excitement. Due to that she was now fluttering in Evie's face to even be heard. "Sorry this happens when I am excited. It takes a bit to change back when I am excited too." She said.

"Well you can be a musician in the human world they Headmistress Rose will teach all of us how to hide our true forms in Latin class during your fourth year only for Sirens and Fairies anyway because the rest of us always have a human form. my first roommate when I started here was a fourth year and he was a siren. The day they learned how to make it where he had legs for a month he was excited before he went and said yeah nope I prefer my tail then these legs." Jason said as he lead the way down to the art/music hall

"Woah, okay, let's just calm down a minute there..." Evie was a little alarmed to see Amber shrink in front of her very eyes - Sarin shrank when he got scared, which wasn't often at all, so it was a bit unexpected to see Amber, suddenly tiny, fluttering right in front of her face. "Oh, it's totally normal, my step-brother is a fairy so I'm used to it" She fibbed. "Let's head there anyway, you'll grow along the way, surely." She walked out of the door then closed it behind them.

"Really?" Sarin asked excitedly. "I don't think I'll be like that. I've always wanted to hide my wings. It's wonderful being a fairy, yes it is. It's great to be part of something so magical. But music is what I want to do for my life. I want to play. I want to sing. I can't imagine doing anything else and if hiding who I am is the only way I can do that, of course I will do it." He tried to explain how he felt to Jason. He didn't talk about this much.

"My parents laughed when I shrank when I got my acceptance letter to the academy! This place is so much better than the Fairy institute that only wants us to fit into fairy society." Amber said as she grabbed her art bag which shrunk to her size when she touched it. She was happy to find that this school had art stuff. "You know it is kind of funny that Art isn't in our classes but we can do it only during free times."

"You know your music in our world would also be heard in the humans world anyway. There are a ton of artists from this world that are famous in their world anyway and they don't even know it." Jason said. He was going to list them but has they got to the artist/Music hall all the portraits of them were on the walls.

Amber finished her sentence just as Evie opened the door to the art/music hall. "Yeah, it seems really unfair. But you do get a lot of free time at this school and there are clubs and groups of all sorts in art and music. Here, check these out. All of the famous musicians that came from our world, their talent spreading to the human world; their pictures are all here." She tried her best to seem interested in what she was talking about, using her signature fake smile that only those who knew her would recognise. All this stuff kind of bored her.

Sarin stared at all of the pictures along the walls. "Wow, these portraits..." He wanted so badly for his picture to be up there some day. He saw some people he recognised. "Wow...I...wow" He couldn't say much else, it seemed. He noticed there was another two people in the hall. When he looked closer he saw Evie, trying to be nice and share some enthusiasm with a 1st year, maybe her roommate.

Jason just watched him for a bit. "Well I am going to head back to the dorm. I am trying to get things ready for classes. If you get lost ask one of the professors or castle staff." He said leaving.

Amber changed back to regular size has she was looking at the pictures. "So cool. The human world doesn't even know that they aren't human." She said looking at the portraits.

Evie nodded. "Yeah, they don't know that some of them came to this school. Feels really cool, knowing you're a part of something so much bigger than yourself, doesn't it?" She said. Evie noticed Sarin and Jason also in the music corridor. She waved at Sarin, but he seemed more interested in Amber. She beckoned to him to come over, she could introduce the two of them.

Sarin saw the girl that Evie was with turning around to marvel at the portraits. Her purple wings fluttered behind her and Sarin was struck by how pretty she was. He walked as calmly as he could towards Evie. "Hey Eve, what's up?" He asked her, not daring to look at the girl with the purple wings.

"Not much, just showing Amber around. Sarin, this is my Amber, she's my roommate. Amber, this is my step-brother Sarin." Evie introduced the two of them.

Jason had left and instead of going to his room he went to the garden. He wanted to see if the Moon was out yet. He liked the moon well all wolfs loved the moon so like was a simplistic way to put it. He went and sat on a bench in the garden.

Amber stood on the ground. She looked at Sarin and smiled. "Hi," She held her hand out for to shake hands with him. She was excited to meet another fairy already. She had also put her art bag down because after a bit it felt heavy.
