Nyx forced herself to look away from Marlon. He could take care of himself; he did it for 30 moons before she met him. She shook herself to get those obtrusive thoughts out from her head. With another look back at Aether who was regally cleaning her paws, she continued forward to what could be classified as the front with more important cats quietly conversing in their own little groups. One of those cats was just arriving and Nyx hurried forward so she could also look like she belonged there. "Hello," She greeted the gray tom slightly out of breath, mostly from nerves, "This must where we're meeting tonight?" She hoped he wouldn't notice that she had no idea what was going on; clans and gatherings were foreign to her.
Aether slowly groomed her curly coat. She looked distracted to the untrained eye but between licks, she was taking in the sight of all of the cats around her.

The young cat sighed as he listened to the two medicine cats speak to one another. His mind began drifting as he started to tune out their conversation. Silently quizzing himself in his mind forgetting he could go off and speak to another apprentice if he really wanted to.
Two brothers tumbled in slightly behind their clanmates and the other two siblings. Both grinning wildly as they looked at the gathering of cats in front of them. Glad to finally be able to come to one after their brother Oreganopaw has gotten to come to them since his apprenticeship really. They breezed past their sister who was talking to a warrior age tomcat.
Dillpaw really didn't pay attention to that fact instead breezed over to who he assumed were fellow apprentices. Granted this caused him to tumble straight into a ginger she-cat, on accident. Quicking he got up shaking himself off and looked at the cat in front of him "Gosh I'm sorry! I really need to learn to be more attentive to my surroundings..." he murmured as he looked down at his paws. He had always been the more clumsy and easily distracted of his four siblings. Constantly causing him to get lost in thoughts and ignoring his surroundings. "My name is Dillpaw." he said giving an awkward apologetic smile to the cat.

Being the overprotective brother he was he took a moment to analyze the cat his sister was speaking with. Of course, before she angrily flicked her tail at him. So he rushed off to what he assumed were other apprentices. Spotting an interesting looking cat in which he felt drawn too. So he padded up to them "Hello there my name is Cilantropaw. I'm from Sloughclan. How are you?" he asked the cat giving them a soft smile.
Rookstar’s mind filled with delight as Sunlight chattered about her Clan and their success since he had last seen her, his head bobbing and nodding along with her voice. He couldn’t quite figure out what ‘swallowtail’ was, but he congratulated her just the same. “The prey is running just as smoothly as ever. Several new apprenti and cavalier have been named, and many of our young mollies have been told they’re expecting,” he purred, glad at the thought of a full nursery. the emptiness brought on by leafbare was unsettling to the tom, but he could care less now that the skies were warmer and the weather more welcoming for such fragile creatures. Not to mention the abundance of prey that the turning of the seasons presented, a silver platter of plump and young specimens just ripe for the picking. Rookstar licked his lips at the thought of a particularly juicy-looking squirrel that had been placed on top of the prey pile just before he left.
“Our acting Tour was in an unfortunate accident, so our Tour has resumed his duties until Richterscreech can return to his temporary position. Such terrible timing too, with mine and Freuxfreckle’s kits being born any day now through the surrogate we chose,” he chuckled sorrowfully, his eyes distant as he thought of the idea of being a true father. After Chasmstar restricting him from his kits’ lives until they were apprenti, he had dreamed of another litter and another chance to be there for them when they were so tiny and helpless and dependent. He let out a wistful sigh, the image of tiny kits nestled between his and Freuxfreckle’s bodies warming his thoughts and smiles. It was only then that he realized he had drifted off into a daydream, and he offered Sunlight an apologetic chuckle.
Wolfwhiskers just sighed, wondering what medicine cat would ever decide to have kits during a kit boom. "They do understand that it is their job to their Clan and their ancestors to help bring new life into this world? And I don't mean by having their own," he added the last bit quickly, hoping to avoid confusion. "Kits are a wonderful experience, but I spend all of my day worrying about my son after losing both his brother and his mother at nearly the same time," he meowed softly, thoughts of Rocherpebble falling to the front of his mind. He remembered the dark days when Quickcough was in full swing and he struggled to even get out of his nest from the weariness, but Rocherpebble had returned and given him a renewed strength at the time he needed it most.
"I guess those kits have all grown into fine young warriors," he meowed, knowing that several queens missed their kits when they entered the apprentice or warrior den. "Their mothers must all be so proud," he chuckled, knowing he surely was proud of Rocherpebble. "I wish I could bring Rocherpebble with me just about everywhere to parade him around. I become such a sap when he's around," he chuckled lightly, a smile creeping across his face. He rarely smiled, but something about Emberspark's friendship made him comfortable enough to do so without a second thought.
Bramblingpaw’s happiness and joy filled Faonpaw with a warm, fuzzy feeling that chased away all the stress of still being an apprentice at nearly twenty moons of age with no end in sight. She let a genuine smile break across her face as her tail curled over her spine, her whiskers twitching with the delight that filled her each time she saw her friend. “How have things been in SeaClan?” she asked, quickly turning her head as a strange feeling rippled down her spine. Her eyes locked onto Wolfwhiskers, across the Gathering, who was smiling like a fool. Her eyes widened and her jaw dropped, her tail slackening and falling to the ground as she witnessed a smile on her mentor’s face for the first time.
“I’ve never actually seen him smile. That cat he’s talking to must be someone special,” she chuckled in a half-whisper, not realizing he could never hear her across the Gathering. She let out a laugh as she turned back to Bramblingpaw, knowing that she probably looked incredibly stupid for getting so excited about seeing an old tom smile like an overjoyed kit. “Sorry about that, got a little bot distracted,” she chuckled softly, her eyes wide. “I sure hope things have gone well in SeaClan, it’s always such a downer when my friend’s Clans are struggling,” she purred, turning around and pressing her cheek against Bramblingpaw’s in a friendly gesture.
briarstar -- leader -- she-cat -- tags: mellohi(opal’s circus)
briarstar gave her a side glance and then nodded, “that makes sense. so you’re nomadic?” that sounded cool.. the clan - circus - could travel and see new places.
frosteyes -- deputy -- tom -- tags: fishleap(tidalclan)
“mountainous.. snowy.. cold,” frosteyes answered him. “what is your clan like? I assume you live somewhere with water.”
glimpsebark -- med cat -- she-cat -- tags: rustleg(marshclan)
glimpsebark struggled to answer that question. briarstar had said to never reveal anything that might make the clan look weak. how was she supposed to be truthful with rustleg when the only thing to tell her was that there was some serious tension picking up between a few cats?? no, that wouldn’t do.. she decided to tell the truth, “the deputy of our clan.. frosteyes,” she glanced around and gestured to him, “and I.. we had to break up a fight. there were no injuries but..” she blinked at rustleg, “have you ever dealt with something like that?”
yin -- warrior -- tom -- tags: acornpaw(gatos callejeros)
“me too..” yin meowed, “how do you like clan life? sometimes I miss being a loner..” he trailed off, thinking about the time he was alone. it wasn’t that fun. then why did he miss it so much?
