tbh I'm super intrigued to hear about all the traveling you guys have done—
The world's such a big and interesting place, but I live in the US (backwater Appalachia) and haven't really gone anywhere else. That said, I do really enjoy it here; the views are phenomenal and the weather is... temperamental, but there's a lot of history and culture here too

I’ve lived in the same city my entire life and tbh I can’t wait to move literally anywhere else (it’s nice-ish here but...incredibly boring)
The only travelling to another country I’ve done was going to LA a few years ago for a school band/choir trip, but I’d love to go to Ireland and England since 50% of my family lives there and I could just stay with them

In other news, Auggie referencing The Polar Express seems wildly out of character but I’m sticking with it anyways (:

but doesn't that mean that the tour's gonna sell, though?
i try to explain the good faith that's been wasted

wait, don't go away, can i lie here forever?
you say that i'm better, why don't i feel better?

Oh neat!
I live in New England currently (in a mountainous region c:), though I've travelled around a lot. France, Italy, Greece; many different places throughout Europe. As well as Canada, of course! I actually almost went to uni there asdgfhfh
Getting to see the Roman colosseum as well as the acropolis in Athens were some of my favourite adventures. Plus just,, Italian and Greek food is sooo good! That was before I was fully vegetarian, so I got to try moussaka and it was amazing asdfhhgj
Percy Jackson would be proud XD
Skiing the French Alps was also really fun - Orin's hot chocolate actually reminded me of the hot chocolate I had at the lodge there; it was absolutely decadent - they melt the chocolate right into the milk and it's just amazing

@Kveykva- I live reasonably close to Appalachia, but not in it. I felt that weather comment.
I've been out of the country a few times, but I'd rather go to one place several times and get to know it, rather than a bunch of places once. I'm not good enough with change to go everywhere. I find it comforting to repeat trips.

@indigo.rain- Oh, that's the reference, I knew it was something! Ophelia is about to regret giving the coat back...I'm just gonna assume that Jamie is done with the bloody face? It should be done bleeding now, if it was just a flesh wound.

@WitchHazel that sounds sick!
This whole conversation is just making me want to travel the world immediately and see everywhere

I know I often talk a lot about wanting to see the sights in the world and travel to experience new things, but honestly, I don't think there's another place I'd want to live besides here. The furthest I've traveled has been Spokane/Seattle, Washington (to visit my mum's family) and San Diego, California (for my at-the-time bf's graduation for the Marines). I've never been out of the country and don't own a passport, as ancient as @Takara thinks I am (jk ily) I've never had the time or money to travel that far.
Granted, I do still get my fair share here with all the tourism the national park brings in since I work in the restaurant business.

also I was kinda haphazardly working on a post while I was hanging w/ a friend so I didn't read much of what's been going on in rp, but I gotta say,, I'm loving the character relations?? Everyone bonding over hot chocolate at the mess hall has been rather fun to read.

and @sammy, your mystery man did get glanced over the first time bc I thought it was a repost of Teilo since Macaw and I have yet to post
but I gotta say now I'm intrigued

      i spent three years living in a little oasis about an hour out from dubai while i was a kid, and it was gorgeous - every roundabout had an art installation on it, every month the flowers lining the roads were changed to fit a different colour scheme - one christmas we ventured out to one of the other emirates to stay in a hotel where they wrote ‘merry christmas’ in the sand on the beach outside our window and later revealed a water-skiing santa clause who promptly threw a collection of sweets at any of the kids looking in their direction
      it was a stunning childhood to have and there are still days where i go outside and smell the heat in the air and i’m transported back to offroading in a car we nicknamed The Flying Galloper in the desert, or running through our complex’s sprinkler system, or seeing the dancing water fountains outside the burj khalifa for the first time - it’s all very gentle in the reminiscent memory but i don’t think it has anything compared to the absolute adoration i feel for wales :”) i get to live in a house that overlooks the bristol channel and is surrounded by lakes and mysterious rock formations and if i am very lucky on a drive i’ll bear witness to the occasional sight of asa butterfield dipping out of the filming set for the netflix series which doesn’t have a name appropriate for cs ahdhshsh

      that was a big ramble but . you get the picture i have very fond memories of some of where i lived and i wish i could just beam the images right into all of your brains

      @kveykva
      mr mysterio has made his entrance and hooooo boy . it’s gonna be huge

That all sounds wonderful!
Travelling is really neat, but I also really appreciate where I'm living right now - I'm surrounded by nature! My backyard is literally a forest and it's great. We get a lot of wildlife around; we even live in the middle of a deeryard.
On the travelling front - seeing new places is great. The actual getting there? I tend to be zonked out on Dramamine on any mode of transportation other than boats lmao (for some reason I'm fine on boats?? I have no idea why lol)

In other news, I am finally taking the time to edit my character relationships on their forms asgdhffg
