how much the pet will go for depends quite a bit on which outcome it fully grows into
the next growth stage should be today (day 10), but in the next pup stage you won't know whether you got the non-jewel or the sunjewel outcome for another 20 days c:
if you do get the non-jewel, the pet will be a fair swap for any non-valued pet (particularly the three other non-pups from the same month)
if you end up with a sunjewel, the pet would be valued at 3-4 nons, which is significantly higher than the non-pup x x x
if you have questions about the fairness of a specific trade, I would recommend asking in the fair trade thread, though with a risk pet such as this one I would personally wait until the pet is fully grown so that you don't potentially miss out on more value~ ^^
