This is the place to post character forms and OOC chatter for the Isles of Etera roleplay, found here. Configure your forms however you wish, though my only requirements are a name, age, gender, pack, rank, and brief history for your character(s). Personality details are encouraged; feel free to add any additional information you wish.

Some ranks correlate to a specific age range:

Pups: 0-6 months
Apprentices: 6 months-1.5 years (up to 2 years)
Healers, Fighters, Hunters, and Scouts: 2+ years
Elders: 9+ years

Please read the Background section on the first page of the roleplay for context about the setting before posting a character here. Obviously, I cannot enforce this (it is too easy for people to cheat with codewords), but I very strongly encourage everyone to take the time to read it. Feel free to reach out to me via PM if you have any questions!

Additional attunement rules
Yes, yes, more rules, I know, but I understand that the crystal attunement system may be somewhat confusing. Please PM me if you have any questions and I will be happy to answer them to the best of my ability. Keep in mind while making your character that double attunement between pack members is forbidden in pack law, e.g. one pack member cannot take the stone of another to double attune like loners are apt to do. Double-attuned wolves are only permitted into packs if they were double-attuned as a loner prior to joining. Even then, they will be met with some level of suspicion by authority figures, such as the alphas, and possibly other wolves as well. I would prefer that most double-attuned wolves become that way naturally over the course of the RP, with respect to other roleplayers' permission for doing so. In fact, I encourage this drama to make playing loners more interesting; however, do keep in mind that double attunement is uncommon and not generally accepted in a pack setting.
Additionally, young wolves may (on occasion) not find any crystal to bind to when they are to receive an apprenticeship. This is taken as an ill omen and results in the exile of such a wolf, which is how some become loners. These wolves may manually attune to other wolves' crystals just like any other but do not possess one that originally is bound to them. This does not happen often, though, so please PM me if you are considering playing a young wolf who recieves no crystal. Adult loners may have non-attunement in their backstory without prior permission.


The only other thing I ask is that romances are established between wolves of the same general age range (e.g. no mentor/apprentice romance, hunter/elder romance, etc.) and wolves apprentice-age and younger limit romance to crushes, whether they are mutual or not. As always, do not romance someone's character without their permission. You may either PM them to ask or discuss it here.

* * * * * * * *the surviving offspring. Eventually she got sick and without the help of a willing healer, died. The pack,
* * * * * * * *wary of the half-blood pup, took pity and accepted him into their ranks under the supervision of his
* * * * * * * *father. Te'rok, a wolf with similar coloring compared to the red-auburn coloring of his mother, raised him

Absolute confidence in all things, Athens is not one to be trifled with. She is quick to make decisions and doesn't freeze under pressure, making her quite the opponent, in both verbal and physical altercations. However, absolute certainty in all things isn't always a good thing; it also makes her rigid, and often entirely unmovable once her mind is made up. When dealing with Athens, it is better to try convince her before she's come to a conclusion; so, fast! Her greatest asset has always been her ability
to assess a situation and make decisions accordingly, so a solid pros-and-cons list will definitely help in swaying her. Although she respects her Alpha very much, Athens is not afraid to argue her point, or even take measures of her own regardless of the instructions of her higher ups, if she truly believes she's in the right.

Those who meet Athens now might not believe it, but she wasn't always so headstrong and sure of herself; this only happened after she became attuned, to a gem different than all of her emerald relatives no less. Athens was born into the Palecrest pack, and did very little else but follow the guide of her pack mates until she was attuned to her lapis lazuli. Then, she learned what it was like to be different; it was subtle, but Athens knew the moment she returned with her new gem that she wasn't what her family had intended her to be. But she had felt it in her bones the moment she had stepped into the cavern, she knew, she was so certain. How could a feeling like that possibly be a lie?
It wasn't, she decided. Her glittering blue heart wasn't the one in the wrong here, and anyone who thought anything else was a fool and a liar.
Needless to say, this quiet rejection shaped Athens' growth a lot in her adolescent years, and she is now very careful with who she trusts and respects. Blood doesn't mean anything; her fate is her own choice, and choose is exactly what she will do.

relationships
Athens respects Eban as her superior, but feels carefully indifferent towards him as an individual, mostly due to his own indifference to most things. She appreciates his steadiness and servitude to his pack.
As someone who values decision making skills, Athens finds Baron's impulsiveness a bother. Still, she begrudgingly accepts that he does, if nothing else, have good reaction times.
Athens is similarly silver-tongued and sure-spoken as Whisper, but wouldn't trust him as far as she could throw him. She considers her tendency to argue a show of honesty in her intentions, and therefore detests when he starts arguments just for the entertainment, especially since she's certain he's clever enough to either win them, or trick his opponent into thinking he has.

Athens reveres all of the gods, but looks to Esmeray for guidance the most. She considers death the ultimate end, so the god that rules over such a thing must truly be one who is careful with their choices.

Usually easily found by his lonesome. Chatty once you get to know him. Always on edge, having been bullied most of his upbringing. Cautious, not very adventurous. Feels as if the Gods personally don't believe in him, and constantly remind him of the past he had no control over. That said, he feels he doesn't have a sense of belonging. Always searching and striving to be more than what everything thinks of him. Easy to offend. Kind to pups, having a special affection towards them after his past.

Fur color is black-brown. Eyes are an amber, quite mesmerizing, even during night. Tall, thin build, long and lanky legs. Has the pendant of the Lapis Lazuli (Scout). A secondary pendant that is white quartz (Beta).
History:
A young male, born a secret on the borders of Pack Hollowdusk. His father was a rogue, lone wolf. His mother was a petite, young scout. That is how they met, during a patrol around the border of Hallowdusk. Sadly, the secret got out about a single pup born without proper courtship within the pack. His mother was forever banished in shame, but the innocent pup was raised within the pack. Kuri was raised primarily by his lead of the apprentice-ship after reaching his 6 month mark. He was deemed a Scout, receiving the Lapis Lazuli crystal, just as his mother had... But his was wolf-tooth shaped. Sharp and yet smooth. It had a clouded appearance with a lightning strike inside. He worked hard to prove himself within the pack's ranks. He always was pushed around, forced into submission, basically barked at the majority of his life. Only recently has he taken up position as Beta, receiving his white quartz pendant to bear. He received the position for his productivity as a Scout within the pack, but many of the pack members do not agree with his title.

Love all these characters! We don't have a ton of players or characters yet, but I don't think that starting to RP is going to hurt. I will make a preliminary post sometime soon and we can begin on the main thread, if everyone is alright with that. I know some folks might need to get to sleep within the next few hours (depending on timezones) but I'm willing to at least get started tonight if that works between us all.

@Munch, yes, Whisper is double-attuned. I worked it out with Sugar and added some additional rules for double-attunement in the initial post for the discussion thread. Double-attunement is forbidden between pack members, but a double-attuned loner may be accepted into a pack given that they were double-attuned previously to gaining a pack position. There is a negative stigma and superstition revolving around double-attunement, as death is largely involved with the act, so most wolves who practice it are loners. Anyone is free to make a double-attuned wolf, though I would like most double-attunement to occur naturally between loners over the course of the RP.
