Rowanpaw hung her head without speaking, hoping perhaps to make Solarstar think that she was so consumed by grief that she couldn't even talk. She trudged to the apprentice's den and went inside, sitting in the shadows near the entrance. Waiting for the opportune moment to slip out and get away.

Snowpaw was out of camp, wondering. Soon, soon Fuzzyfire would get her nine lives and replace her mother as leader...
The white apprentice sighed, straying nearer and nearer to the ShadeClan border.

Rowanpaw heard the camp settle down and decided the time was right. She bolted out of the apprentice den and blurred across the camp, streaking out the other side and through the woods. She came to the river and halted, but the night was not as cold as it had been. Snow still lay on the ground, but if she froze to death trying to cross, it would be well worth it. She slid into the water and struck out, keeping herself warm with anger and thoughts of revenge.

Snowpaw blended in well with the snow, her pure white fur only smudged with the brown and red tiny patches her parents had given her. She sighed, wondering what her sister was doing at this moment in time.

Rowanpaw nearly threw herself out of the water on Spiritclan's side, shaking out her fur and shivering, teeth chattering hard. She flicked snow from her paws before running to a tree and rubbing against it, somehow inexplicably glad to be back among oaks and not black pines.

Snowpaw heard noise, and she moved closer to the stream

Rainheart picked up a small mouse from the fresh kill pile and carried it over to the edge of camp.

Bloodwing joined her, looking over the camp.

"It's so much different then from when we left" Rainheart sighed, not looking up at Bloodwing.

[Ardra]

"It is" he nodded
