This is one of my favorite poems I’ve written
The human brain
The human brain, maze of neurons and axons, neurotransmitters and corpus callosum.
The maze you get lost looking for your emotions and your logic.
Kingdoms of the left and right brain constantly at battle for dominance.
In those lands where the insecurities fight mightily against the logic is where logic comes to die.
Are they too strong? Or are they the fair truths that make them stronger?
The mysterious brain that it’s constantly at war with itself. Destroying the “real truths” and replacing them with bricks of poison in the battle field.
Never to be believed, no matter what the truth is, we will always believe the sickening truths it’ll give us. .
The battlefront of the brain.

He shines, luminating the gloomy sky
Cold, stern, huge he stands there hovering
Over mankind
His soft glow ignites a fire inside of me
Keeping me warm whether I wanted to be
The loneliness that once was there
Disappears when I admirably stare
Into his beautiful beam
As if it’s just a dream
But coldness quivers down my heart
When he suddenly departs
Behind the gloomy clouds
Out of my bounds
Oh how does a single moon
Bring one so much fortune?

Hope is the word I choose to fly
like a kite on a string, beside the bay,
wishing its light upon the city
to dissolve its fog and light the day.
With an eager grip, I hold it tight,
searching for reasons to strain its flight,
begging closeness when it wants to run
and pulling it back so it won't stray.
Sometimes I feel like an unfair jailer,
other times like a warm, guiding hand.
All I know is that I keep hope near
so it won't float away to another place.

maybe is a way of denial,
or maybe its just a patience trial,
yet eveyone seems to see,
all my effort as a genetic lottery.
Perhaps they see me as lucky,
and ignore all the sleepless nights of study,
but im sure a lot of artists agree,
that practice, time and patience are the real key.

away from prying eyes. id say,
i understand the life it leads,
trapped in confines
unsharpened claws
each guest that screams is but a clone.
im fed at irregular times,
know not of when the forest burns.
i burn alone.

A black endless abyss that appears to be unknown
But to one's surprise it lies the home to the new fallen snow
A miniature flake so delicate and shiny
As is drifts down the hollow is glows quite brightly
It is slowly swallowed by the darkness below
Only the tiny snowflake will ever know the secrets that this cavern bestows
