As you guessed right, the first hamster is a Malachite!!
I also love seeing all the guesses for the other hamsters.

The litter is inspired by a toy I loved as a kid. It was a hard block of sand, and using little wooden tools like a hammer you could chip away the sand bit by bit to reveal a gemstone in the end.

Ahh, no wonder the outside coloring on the hams threw me off. x)

ok I never had the gemstone ones as a kid but I did have the dinosaur bone ones! it was like a pretend archaeologist set : )

The shadow puppet butterfly wolves are amazing! They definitely turned out to be my favorite species released this month! All so cool!

Also excited to see the rest of Tess' pups grow, because this outcome is adorbs c:

The cat may be a Bushbuck? Tragelaphus scriptus.
