With his dufflebag in hand Niji walked to the bighouse. He looked around for anyone that would be walking into the bighouse soon and, not seeing anyone, headed into the bighouse pausing innthe doorway to say hello to Mr. Dionysis and ask the god if he could use a empty room. Once he was allowed he waved goodbye to the god, but the god stopped him.
"Uhh Mr., Lord, your Godliness Dionysis sir? Is everything okay?" Niji asked unsure of how to address him.
"Everything is yippy-skippy."
The god growled out.
"Proffesor Hay-for-breath just wanted me to let you know that you're mine."
Niji stared at the god for a moment. "Excuse me?" He looked around for someone to help him understand what the god was trying to say.
"I just mean that you're my child. Huzzah you can go back to what you're doing. You're welcome."
"Umm thanks then... Dionysis. I-I'm sorry that I won't be who you want me to be. And my adopted parents are still my dad and pa and you can't stop them from being that." Niji said prepared for Dionysis to get upset and yell.
"Okay they're your parents good job I guess. Nothing could disappoint me more then the Demeter kids, so calm down yeesh."
Dionysis put a hand over his eyes and then looked over at Niji.
"Oh you haven't left? Please do so before you annoy me." Dionysis said while waving them off.
Niji nodded and walked into the big house while looking over his shoulder. It didn't occur to them that he looked suspicious he just didn't want anyone bothering them. Niji walked to a meeting room that was spacy and empty and gently set down his dufflebag. He unrolled his rug and looked around before getting on his knees taking a breath.

──── Aiden Seaver
【✦】| Athena Head Counselor | 15 | Male | Dining Pavilion | Tags: Niji Budōnoki, Cresolis Raeburn
❝𝚐𝚒𝚟𝚎, 𝚋𝚞𝚝 𝚐𝚒𝚟𝚎 𝚞𝚗𝚝𝚒𝚕 𝚒𝚝 𝚑𝚞𝚛𝚝𝚜❞
"Don't worry about it," Aiden brushed it off, not wanting the other camper to feel bad about upsetting him. As the two ate their fill, Aiden couldn't help but wonder about the new camper. He didn't come across as a child of Athena or Ares, and while his first guess would be Aphrodite, a little voice in the back of his head insisted that wasn't right. He supposed there wasn't any harm in waiting until Niji was claimed, but as far as first impressions went, he didn't get a negative vibe from him. He did recall Niji mentioning something about if he didn't "believe" in the gods and how that would affect things. Honestly, Aiden never thought about it. In fact, he'd never even considered his own faith. Before he came to Camp Half-Blood, Aiden didn't really believe in a god or set of gods. It wasn't something he thought about much as a little kid, and despite the various religious families who fostered him, nothing stuck. Even after he'd discovered the truth behind the Greco-Roman pantheon, he wasn't sure he'd consider it his faith. Did he believe they existed? Of course, it was difficult to deny their existence. But that didn't mean he put any faith into them or their afterlife, which felt strange to say. I wonder if there's other gods out there besides ours. It would sure make religion more difficult for anyone who practiced it. His munching slowed to picking, and he'd grown so lost in his thoughts that he almost missed Niji's departure. "Mmh." Aiden swallowed what he was chewing. "It was good to meet you, Niji. Don't forget, we're having Capture the Flag tonight!" If the weather doesn't cancel it...

|Mirabelle Everhart|17|She/Her|Aphrodite|Head Counselor|Location: Cabin 10|Tags: Pippa, Ophelia|
Mirabelle shook Pippa's hand with a surprisingly firm grip, noting that it was just about as cold as hers was. "Nice to meet you!" she chirped, donning a warm smile. "Welcome to the Aphrodite cabin." It hadn't passed her notice that they were the only ones inside - the rest of her cabinmates were probably still at the dining pavilion or up demanding answers from Chiron and Mr. D at the Big House. When Pippa mentioned the weather, Mirabelle's smile faltered ever so slightly. "So you haven't heard yet." It was more of a statement than a question. She glanced between Pippa and Ophelia, worrying the inside of her cheek between her teeth. "The Senior Counsel just held an emergency meeting," she explained. "We can't be completely certain yet, but Chiron suspects Khione's involvement in this... er, winter in June situation." She tugged her coat tighter around herself in an attempt to warm up faster. Though her teeth had stopped chattering, she was still shivering quite a bit. She turned to look at both girls again, blue-grey eyes suddenly sharp with focus. "Say, you two haven't had any dreams involving cold weather before all of this started, by any chance?"
-
Mirabelle jumped when Ophelia's hand touched her shoulder, but she quickly calmed herself. "I-I'm fine," she assured her cabinmate, albeit unconvincingly. "Just a little bit cold." She offered her a grateful smile nonetheless, showing her appreciation towards Ophelia's care for her. The thought of hot cocoa did seem enticing, however... In all the chaos with the meeting and the prophecy, Mirabelle had completely forgotten to eat lunch. She didn't really have much of an appetite, but she figured she ought to eat something anyway. "Hot cocoa does sound nice... have you eaten yet, Pippa? I can show you to the Dining Pavilion if you're hungry."
|Juliet Pratten|16|She/Her|Hermes|Location: Outside Cabin 11|Tags: Open |
Juliet figured she ought to save her brilliant scheme for Capture the Flag. If it got cancelled, she could simply pull the prank on the Ares cabin as intended, she reckoned. Now, what to do with the rest of lunchtime? She had pretty much everything she would need to pull off her dastardly deeds, which left her not many options. I bet Romeo could use some free time. Her hazel eyes fell upon the sable ferret, who was just waking up from a nap in his enclosure. He yawned, an action that filled Juliet's heart with how cute it was. Decided, she rifled through her belongings until she found his winter harness and his leash. Though the ferret didn't usually stray out of her sight if she let him roam free, she didn't want to risk losing him in the accumulating snow outside. That, and letting him off leash outside was always a risk, what with the cleaning harpies roaming about and all.
When she opened the cage door, Romeo chirped and immediately weaseled his way out. Juliet managed to get the harness on him, albeit with some difficulty - he was more excited than usual. Maybe he can smell the snow, she reckoned. If there was anything Romeo loved more than food or sleeping, it was snow. As she led him outside, he immediately threw himself at the nearest pile and started tunneling, making happy dook sounds as he played.
|Chuck Oakes|He/Him|Satyr|Location: Big House|Tags: Jamie, Niji (mentioned)|
Chuck watched as Chiron raised an eyebrow at Jamie, either due to the lie or the admission - the satyr couldn't tell. Chiron was about to say something when a camper walked in through the door, halting him. Chuck noted immediately that he didn't recognise the person, but the colour of their hair made him think of cupcakes. His stomach grumbled at that thought. The new camper was talking to Mr. D, who had... claimed them? Chuck shook his head as the person ventured deeper into the house, and Mr. D walked pointedly away. "That was, like, the weirdest claiming I've ever seen," he eventually blurted.
Chiron only raised an eyebrow again, turning back to Jamie.
"You were saying that you've had prophetic dreams?" the centaur inquired rather matter-of-factly. His expression softened as he seemed to realise how nervous Jamie was. "You don't have to elaborate if you don't wish to, however..." Chiron's countenance darkened slightly. "You should know that there has been a prophecy spoken, and we are assembling a quest group. Given that you've had premonitions, I would advise that you at least speak with Mirabelle or one of the other counselors who will be venturing out on said quest. That being said, it is entirely your choice whether you wish to accompany them. I will not force you to do something against your will." Chiron's eyes were kind, almost... sad, as he spoke.
|Vivienne Isole|18|She/Her|Khione|Location: Peak of Mount Marcy/Blizzard Dreamscape|Tags: Aydan|
The ability to control ice... Vivienne's gaze sharpened with interest. Perhaps that's why he feels oddly familiar... could he be another demigod of Khione? The thought seemed ludicrous. Certainly her mother would've told her if she'd had any godly half-siblings... right? Her mouth tightened into a thin line. I'll have to bring it up with her as soon as I awaken, she decided. "There is much one can do with ice," she stated instead. She neglected to show him what she meant - that would be a dead giveaway of her identity. Though she had manipulated the dream blizzard around them earlier... Still. She decided she was better safe than sorry in this situation. Speaking of awakening... she felt her grasp on the dream begin to slip.

Agatha "Aggy" Clemson|Female|Unknown (Ares)|Location: Showers——> Cabin 11|tags: Auggie
Aggy sobered up when Auggie mentioned needing a sheath. She would’ve grabbed one when she’d gotten it, but the matching scabbard for her particular blade was long gone.
Aggy caught the stone, a glint in her eyes. “
I’m gonna head to the armoury if-” She was cut off by the dark haired girl continuing the conversation. She frowned at the acquisition “
I didn’t do it cause you’re older, I did it cause I figured once I went with you, no one would mess with me.” She said, grinning up (barely) at the girl. She liked the thought that she could’ve won, but she knew Auggie was just placating her ego. Still...
“
As I was saying, you can come if you want, but I’m dropping these off at the cabin before I pop over to the armoury.” She gestured with the clothes. The words were barely out of her mouth before she was off, crunching through the snow to Cabin 11, not even checking to see if the other girl followed.
*I’ll update the Ophelia later (probably tomorrow)*

Niji prayed to Allah letting all of the worry, grief, fear, unsureness pour out of him and let Allah take it. After his prayer was done, for now, he rolled up his rug, put it in his dufflebag, zipped it up, and walked out looking around to see if anyone saw them.
He was walking towards Cabin 11 to get his stuff and put it in the Dionysis cabin when he screamed.
"What the heck is that?!" He yelled dropping his dufflebag and running towards a girl and a ferrett.
"Is that a ferrett? Can I pet it? Whats their name? Oh they are so cute! Can I pet them?" Niji asked the girl jumping up and down.
Ferretts were his favorite animal right after equines. Niji looked up at the girl with their eyes hopeful.

Augusta Reynolds|17|she/her|Hades|showers|tags:Aggy/open
August snorted with amusement, rolling her eyes again. “Oh yeah, the other campers here find me really intimidating.” She said sarcastically. She wasn’t entirely true how much of a stretch that was. She did her best to act tough and cold, and not to many people bothered her, but she was never sure if that was out of fear or just because she was weird and quiet and people were purposely avoiding her. She smirked back at the girl, despite her annoyance she was actually becoming quite fond of her, and after their little excursion if anyone did try to mess with her, they’d have August to answer to as well. Although it didn’t really seem like Aggy would need much protecting, especially once she’d sharpened her blade.
Auggie barely had a second to answer before the girl took off in the direction of cabin 11. She almost laughed—walking away without waiting for an answer was her thing. She hesitated for a moment, then decided she didn’t want to be seen following the hotheaded little punk around. She liked Aggy, but she felt that she’d had enough human interaction for now and would rather be alone with her sword. Without explaining where she was going—since Aggy was already halfway to the cabins—she turned and headed towards the arena, strapping her sword back onto her waist properly as she walked.
Jamie Wallace|16|he/him|Iris|Camp|tags:Chuck
Jamie raised his eyebrows as their conversation halted, interrupted by the very casual claiming happening right before their eyes. He slowly nodded in agreement with Chuck, looking more confused than ever. Reluctantly, he turned his attention back to Chiron, nodding as he listened to the centaurs words. His eyes widened once again at the mention of a prophecy and a quest. His heart was thudding in his chest so hard he was fairly certain the others could hear it, and his mouth felt incredibly dry. He nodded again, willing his voice not to shake when he spoke. “Yes, sir. I’ll be sure to talk to one of them.” He replied, his hands nervously fidgeting with the hem of his shirt.
if only i could keep you in my pocket
to give me some diagnosis of why i'm so hollow
please give me instructions, i promise i'll follow
i tripped on my ankle and fractured my elbow
but doesn't that mean that the tour's gonna sell, though?
i try to explain the good faith that's been wasted
but after an hour, it sounds like complaining
wait, don't go away, can i lie here forever?
you say that i'm better, why don't i feel better?
the universe works in mysterious ways
but i'm starting to think it ain't working for me
doctor, should i be good, should i be good this year?

Juliet spun around to see a new face. She quickly noted that the colour of their hair was something she would have expected to see Mirabelle or one of the other Aphrodite kids wearing. Romeo buried himself in the snow at the sound of an excited voice, but soon poked his head back out to see what was going on.
"Uh, yeah," Juliet replied, a bit taken aback by the new person's eagerness. "This is Romeo." She gave a gentle tug on the leash, coaxing the sable ferret to come out of the mound of snow. Romeo did just that, scampering up to the newcomer's feet to sniff at their shoes. "I don't think I've seen you around before," the daughter of Hermes continued. "I'm Juliet, but friends call me Jules." She narrowed her eyes, looking the other demigod over with mock suspicion. "Now, question is - are you friend or foe?" She kept her tone serious, though humour danced in her hazel gaze.

Chiron gave a nod in assent and trotted off, presumably to find Mr. D. Chuck let out a breath he didn't know he'd been holding. The whole situation had been rather tense, to say the least. He'd actually begun to eat one of those horrendous fuzzy mittens he'd found earlier in his nervousness. It didn't take a perceptive individual to tell that Jaime felt the same way. "Uh, like, you wanna finish up here and then go for like, a walk or something?" Chuck suggested, hoping that it would help to calm them both. A walk in nature always calmed himself down, that was for sure.

"Hi Romeo. Oh you're a cute thing. Aww he like snow that's cute. Do you like my shoes? They're colorful, but I promise they're not play things buddy." Niji cooed at the ferret.
Niji who hadn't paid any atttention to what Juliet had been saying lookee up at her and said "Oh no, I'm Arabian."
It took Niji a moment before his face became consumed with a blush. "I am so sorry. I'm a friend. Are all the Ares campers, so extra? I passed by the cabin and they growled at me. I mean I'm ovbiously a bit eccentric as well, but not like whatever goes on there."
Niji started to pet the ferret before looking up at Juliet.
"Oh hey, I've been meaning to ask my pa mentioned something about weapons where would I go about getting those? I just, uh, can't tell my dad or he'll flip his lid."
Niji went back to petting Romeo before saying "iinahum yasnaeun falafl jayidat huna."

Poppy ️✿ Rye
✾ 16, She/Her
✾ Demeter
✾ Walking Through Camp - Dining Pavilion
✾ @Open /mentioned some campers
The twisting scent of warmth and cinnamon drifted on the wicked breeze enticing Poppy to about-face and stalk through the slush towards the dining pavilion. Her stomach rumbled at the thought of food, but her heart was set on hot cocoa with cinnamon sprinkles, whip cream swirl, and a peppermint straw. Her boots kicked through what snow was sticking to the ground as she skittered over the grass away from the cabins. A combination of clumsiness and a proclivity to dance caused her way of going to be rambunctious to say the least.
In a whirl of cold, she bustled across the hall's entrance, striding forward towards the hot drink line. Her freckled nose was red from the nipping wind and frozen flakes of snow were slowly melting in her braided hair. She was so grateful for the cup of cocoa, that she just held on top the cup for a few moments before ever taking a sip. Instead, she let her eyes roam over the other gathered campers - she recognized a few, the black haired Athenian Counselor, umm..., Her thoughts hesitated as she tried to drum up the name. Aiden. Athena head counselor Aiden. While he was younger than her, he'd been at camp longer and really stepped up to the task of leadership. Dang Athena campers, she grumbled rolling her eyes. Overachievers.
A sip of the hot liquid, the warm heat as the cocoa hit her throat and warmed all the way down to her belly - but unfortunately in her haste to consume, she'd sacrificed a few tastebuds. Resuming her scan of the crowd - She noticed Hank with a couple girl campers and a handful of other campers here and there. Fortunately her annoying siblings weren't hovering over their table - she rarely got along with them, mostly due to her non-conforming attitude. She preferred wildflower fields, dandelions, and her signature poppies. They liked carefully cultivated rows of roses - shouting her out about her weeds and uncultured tastes. Everything had to be organized into columns and rows - corn, wheat, rice, even citrus trees. While the strawberries too resided in neat rows, the bushes themselves were tangled masses and called to Poppy's heart. Who had time for the careful pruning of bonsai trees which die when you squint at them wrong when you could run through the forest swinging tree limb to tree limb on great big oaks a thousand years old - that have withstood the worst hurricanes and blizzards. They considered her untamable, a weed herself. If they could - they'd probably use a bit of weed killer on her just so they could have their perfect cabin.
Most of the time, Poppy never let her siblings bother her - there was too much joy to be had. But sitting at the Demeter table by herself while other groups chatted loudly or called after their siblings with cheer; she felt alone and a bit sad. Probably due to the weather - sunshine and warmth made her happy and cheerful, even a good summer rain and rolling storm could elicit excitement and joy from her. Snow and cold, wind and slush - was definitely not how the first day of camp was supposed to go.
Ben Asher
⚒ 18, He/Him
⚒ Hephaestus
⚒ Big House
⚒ /Laurel
The blade had finally taken shape and was ready to be quenched. The hardwork of pounding out glowing hot metal had warmed Ben up considerably, not that the Hephaestus camper needed the added warmth. From swinging mighty hammer, raining blows down on the orange steel, to watching it reheat in a bed of red coals, occasionally pumping on the bellows to add in oxygen - his camp shirt was soaked through, and was now sporting a few burned holes where flying embers had jumped, a top of the slashes at the shoulder from his earlier encounter.
While watching the heated bed of coals and the nestled blade within, he slipped on a long leather glove to protect his right arm. His eyes wore no protection, nor did they need any - only reflecting the dazzling flames and yellow hot metal. Raising the blade out of the forge with a set of tongs, he lifted it over a barrel of oil. With a clean thrust, he slid the unfished weapon into the dark liquid until completely submerged.
He was prepared for the fireball that formed and rolled up to the tongs as soon as the hot metal hit the oil - he had leaned away from the flames, feeling the heat blow his hair back and drying the sweat on his brow. The protective glove had done it's job, but a few hairs on his upper arm not covered by his shirt had been singed down to the skin.
Lifting the newly quenched weapon, he brought it horizontal to eye level and checked down the spine for any warping or cracking. It was safe and solid and well made - no deviations. A second check for hardness, he swiped a rasp along the blade - feeling relief as it skated across the surface. To most people, it looked in rough shape - while it was clearly a weapon, it was black in color and clearly not sharp. But to Ben - the hardest part was done, the actual forging of a blade, there were so many things that could go wrong fundamentally. The edge would be sharpened and the angle determined for hacking, slashing, and/or stabbing, and sometimes bludgeoning. The handle would also be customized with wood or antler or some composite material. A final polish and it would be ready to hand off to a warrior to be their faithful blade.
It was in this quiet down time as he prepared the blade to be heat treated in the oven overnight, that Ben finally noticed he was not alone in the Forge. He wiped the sweat off his face with the towel on his work bench, before resting a hip against the sturdy wooden table. Taking a large gulp of water, he scanned the tall blonde waiting with a dagger in hand. He recognized her as the Daughter of Zeus and hoped she hadn't waited long for his attention.
