"Dude," Aiden set his plate aside, trying to recatch Niji's attention, but the poor guy just kept going. "Dude. Dude, it's okay." He was completely unprepared to go into Big Brother™ mode right now, but he felt it coming on regardless. Before he had a chance to say anything else, Cres injected a bit of humor in to level things out. Aiden suppressed a sigh of relief. "Not particularly," He answered, pausing slightly. "You get the questions so often that the answers are second nature. I could tell you my divine parent and what I get from her completely on autopilot." He explained. "But every camper is different. As for gods coming to visit... Not really, no.. At least not very often" Aiden rubbed the back of his neck. "There's plenty of campers that are on good terms with their godly parent, but I don't think I've ever heard of anyone who knows them well or had them really play a role in their life. The most I've ever gotten from Athena is a voice in the back of my head." He shrugged. "But I'll go ahead and say this now, while it's come up. If you ever need a friend, I've always got an ear to lend."

Skylar Kakitid, 16 years old, Female, Daughter of Hecate, 7 year camper, Location: Camp, Tags: Kenna, Hank

Skylar nodded slightly at Kenna and preformed the warming spell on the daughter of Poseidon. She had just barely heard her over Hank's questions. When Sky mentioned dreams, however, Kenna seemed to freeze in place. Kenna slowly started to explain about a vision she had and Skylar widened her eyes. That was definitely relating to the quest and Kenna would probably be a part of it. "Yeah, you might just be a part of this. That sounds like a lot of what others are saying about their dreams." Including me. At Kenna's question about what Mr. D and Chiron thought about it, Skylar stiffened. They had been, well, freaking out. Most of the counselors were sure who was doing this, but Sky didn't feel like telling everyone about these suspicions. She didn't like to relive that day or her. Sky instead shrugged, "It might be. It was some pretty strong magic, getting past the barrier. They just want to find the questers to get this over with, I guess. Try to make sure the Camp isn't harmed for as long as possible."

Skylar noticed Hank didn't say anything and realized that he must not have had the dreams. She wasn't totally sure if he was there for that day, but she didn't ask him. She would probably have to get Kenna up to the Big House to meet up with possible questers, but she waited to do that later. Right now, it was just important to find the questers

"Sorry." Niji apologized he felt bad because it kind of looked like Aiden was uncomfortable and he hadn't meant to make him feel that way.
Niji managed to give Cresolis a small smile, but wasn't sure how convincing it looked.
"A-ah." Niji sighed his voice breaking a little.
He cleared their throat and continued. "So just like human parents then?" He phrased it as a question without it really being one.

Niji shuffled his weight from foot to foot at Aiden's offer of friendship. "Thanks. Y-you too." They said flashing a smile. Niji was definitely out of practice with talking.

"S-so how do you know? When your claimed?" They asked changing the subject rather quickly.

Agatha "Aggy" Clemson|Female|Unknown (Ares)|Location: Showers|tags: open
Aggy just laughed. "Thanks!" she said gratefully, taking the clothes and pulling them on. "You really think you could've stopped me?" She asked, her tone implying she thought the older girl would be crazy to try, a smile quirking her lips.

Although Aggy had no control over the weather, or power over the lake, she knew she did have control over herself. Once she put her mind to something, Aggy was nearly impossible to stop. The thought calmed her, and she tugged the t-shirt over her head. Wrapping her cutlass in her damp clothes, she held it out from her body as she stepped out of the shower stall. Now to get what she'd wanted.
"So do I get to use your whetstone now, or is there another test?" She asked, the smile fading from her face when she saw Auggie's expression. "Cheer up, you ain't looking at a ghost!" Aggy said, reaching her free hand out to tap Auggie's arm as if to confirm this.

Ophelia Rogers|Female|Aphrodite|Location: Cabin 10|tags:Pippa, Mira
Ophelia cracked a smile at the girl's use of the term "wicked". She knew there were some in their cabin who would be petty enough to not approve of unique slang, but she personally found it endearing. She grabbed a long sleeve shirt and dipped into one of the partitioned off changing areas, still listening to the conversation. She was already back out by the time Mira mentioned the weather. So that's what this is all about.

She fiddled with her butterfly necklace as she considered the question. Was this a test? No, Mira's not like that, but... "I... haven't" Ophelia said, shaking her head as she studied the blonde's face. Reaching out a hand to lightly touch her head counselor's shoulder, she asked "Are you okay? I think we can get some hot cocoa or something at the dining pavilion to set the mood?" She offered a small smile, careful not to use the words you need a break and oh gods, look stressed, especially in front of the new camper.

Henry "Hank" Walker|Male|Apollo|Location: ----> Dining Pavilion |tags: Kenna, Sky
Crap. This was worse case scenario, why-yes-there-is-someone-behind-this news. Hank shoved the thought away and focused on reveling in his newfound heat, very grateful for Sky's skills. He listened to the girls, but didn't add anything, having not had a snowy dream the night before. He frowned as Kenna mentioned her dream, trying to keep his body still long enough to hear Sky's answer. He shifted his weight from foot to foot, wondering absently where Izzy had gotten herself to while he waited.

*quoted so it's easier for those I'm tagging to find, letting Hank stay quiet for a bit so it doesn't get out of hand :)*

Augusta Reynolds|17|she/her|Hades|showers|tags:Aggy
August rolled her eyes at the comment, though the girl was probably right. She seemed quite determined and probably wouldn’t have allowed August to stop her if she’d tried. She guessed that could be a good quality, if mixed with a little less reckless stupidity. August let out a huff of laughter at Aggy’s question, though her face still remained humourless. “No, there’s not another test. But if you’re gonna make that thing sharp I’d find a sheath for it so you don’t cut your own leg open keeping it in your pocket.” She raised an eyebrow, almost stepping back when Aggy reached for her but she stopped herself. Instead she reached into her pocket and pulled out a small whetstone, tossing it to the girl. She started to head towards the door out of the showers when she stopped and turned to look back at Aggy with a scrutinizing glare. “That was really stupid by the way,” She told her. “A word of advice, don’t mindlessly do anything someone tells you just because they’re older, have a sharp blade and a menacing attitude. Think for yourself and you’re less likely to get into trouble.” She gave Aggy a hard stare for a moment, then her gaze softened slightly to a smirk—the closest thing to a friendly look anyone was likely to get from her. “That wasn’t bad though, if I hadn’t played dirty you might’ve actually had a chance at beating me.”

Jamie Wallace|16|he/him|Iris|Camp|tags:Chuck
Jamie chuckled at the satyrs joke, though he wasn’t sure how much of a stretch it was, some of this stuff looked really old. He studied the green sweater for a moment, as hideous as it was, part of him (his inner attention-seeking art student side) actually kind of liked it. Better not to draw extra attention to himself, he thought, tossing it onto the pile of discarded garments. With that thought, he remembered the conversation they’d had about his dream, and how Chuck had said he should mention it to Chiron. He really didn’t like the thought of that. The floor creaked in the next room and he jumped. The Big House was old, and it probably creaked on it’s own all the time. Jamie’s dads house was constantly making weird noises and creaking in the middle of the night. Still, it unsettled him, and he was worried somebody might come around the corner and Chuck might say something about Jamie’s weird dreams—or worse, Jamie himself would freak out and say something he didn’t want to say. “Maybe we should hurry up,” Jamie suggested, not giving the reason for his sudden rush and jumpy behaviour out loud. He grabbed a pair of wool gloves and red coat that didn’t seem to be in too bad shape.

if only i could keep you in my pocket
to give me some diagnosis of why i'm so hollow
please give me instructions, i promise i'll follow
i tripped on my ankle and fractured my elbow
but doesn't that mean that the tour's gonna sell, though?
i try to explain the good faith that's been wasted
but after an hour, it sounds like complaining
wait, don't go away, can i lie here forever?
you say that i'm better, why don't i feel better?
the universe works in mysterious ways
but i'm starting to think it ain't working for me
doctor, should i be good, should i be good this year?

Kade dipped his head and slipped away, leaving Pippa to get acquainted with her newfound siblings and campers, and he himself headed for the dining hall. Maybe Hunter or Hank would be hanging about somewhere. He shivered against the snow. Either it was some freak of nature, or someone was pulling a very effective, very odd prank, and he didn’t know of anyone who could pull off something like THAT.

Karter Zael | Hades | Tagging: Emerson | Location: Camp, Dining Hall

Once Valkeri had wandered off, unable to share tables with someone from another cabin, Karter had meant to go find his place at the Hades table, more than likely alone, but he’d never minded lonesomeness. Big social gatherings were never his thing anyway. However, a girl had quickly approached him. His head snapped up at the sound of a voice. "H-Huh? Oh...nah, haven’t eaten yet. Just arrived," he admitted. Then she was holding out a muffin to him. She’d probably grabbed that for herself. After capture-the-flag snack or something. So he offered a small smile and pushed it back toward her. "You might need that at some point. There’s plenty to go 'round," he promised.

Though Niji hadn't struck a nerve before, it was clear he'd hit one now. Aiden gripped the serving spoon tightly, skipping a few beats before he relaxed. "I guess," The Athena camper answered stiffly. "A lot of kids here have problems with either one or the other, but sometimes it's both sides of the family." He said. Aiden hadn't expected to react like that; it caught him off guard, since usually he tended to be pretty level. He quickly finished filling his plate and moved to the fire pit, scraping a portion of his meal as an offering. He gestured for Niji to do the same. "It's pretty obvious whenever you're claimed." Aiden replied, taking a seat at an empty table by the fire. "Do something worthy of their attention and in a flash you're claimed." He made an exaggerated gesture with his hands. "Their symbol appears over your head, and once you're claimed you'll get moved out of the Hermes cabin. Unless well, you're a child of Hermes." He added. "You'll learn plenty about the Greek gods and goddesses while you're here, and even the more minor ones like Iris and Hypno will claim their kids. So just do you and focus on learning your family history. The rest will come in time." Once he finished, Aiden eagerly dug into his meal. He had a monstrous appetite for someone so small, and he'd been delaying his lunch for far too long.

"Sorry. I didn't mean to upset you." Niji said splaying his fingers slightly in apology.

Niji picked out the best grapes and scraped off a little bit of the best parts of his foods and into the fire whispering a little prayer to both Dionysis and then a somewhat lengthier one in Arabic to Allah.

Niji frowned slightly realizing that he needed to pray soon. They wondered if he would do anything noteworthy to gain his parent's attention.
Niji laughed to himself probably not. Niji not knowing where else to sit put his plate across from Aiden's, walked over to where his dufflebag was, grabbed it, and returned to his food sitting his dufflebag beside him.
Niji wanted to visit the stables after praying he wasn't sure where to pray, but the big house seemed like a good place. It was quiet, mostly empty, not crowded, no one would prank him or bother them. It would be just him and his thoughts.
Niji sighed and picked at his food he wondered if the gods and goddesses would be mad during Ramadan because he couldn't eat. Niji would make sure to put something in the fire for them.

Niji finished his food and got up throwing away his plate, said bue to Aiden, grabbed his dufflebag, and headed to the big house

|Mirabelle Everhart|17|She/Her|Aphrodite|Head Counselor|Location: Cabin 10|Tags: Pippa, Ophelia|

Mirabelle shook Pippa's hand with a surprisingly firm grip, noting that it was just about as cold as hers was. "Nice to meet you!" she chirped, donning a warm smile. "Welcome to the Aphrodite cabin." It hadn't passed her notice that they were the only ones inside - the rest of her cabinmates were probably still at the dining pavilion or up demanding answers from Chiron and Mr. D at the Big House. When Pippa mentioned the weather, Mirabelle's smile faltered ever so slightly. "So you haven't heard yet." It was more of a statement than a question. She glanced between Pippa and Ophelia, worrying the inside of her cheek between her teeth. "The Senior Counsel just held an emergency meeting," she explained. "We can't be completely certain yet, but Chiron suspects Khione's involvement in this... er, winter in June situation." She tugged her coat tighter around herself in an attempt to warm up faster. Though her teeth had stopped chattering, she was still shivering quite a bit. She turned to look at both girls again, blue-grey eyes suddenly sharp with focus. "Say, you two haven't had any dreams involving cold weather before all of this started, by any chance?"

Mirabelle jumped when Ophelia's hand touched her shoulder, but she quickly calmed herself. "I-I'm fine," she assured her cabinmate, albeit unconvincingly. "Just a little bit cold." She offered her a grateful smile nonetheless, showing her appreciation towards Ophelia's care for her. The thought of hot cocoa did seem enticing, however... In all the chaos with the meeting and the prophecy, Mirabelle had completely forgotten to eat lunch. She didn't really have much of an appetite, but she figured she ought to eat something anyway. "Hot cocoa does sound nice... have you eaten yet, Pippa? I can show you to the Dining Pavilion if you're hungry."

|Juliet Pratten|16|She/Her|Hermes|Location: Outside Cabin 11|Tags: Open |

Juliet figured she ought to save her brilliant scheme for Capture the Flag. If it got cancelled, she could simply pull the prank on the Ares cabin as intended, she reckoned. Now, what to do with the rest of lunchtime? She had pretty much everything she would need to pull off her dastardly deeds, which left her not many options. I bet Romeo could use some free time. Her hazel eyes fell upon the sable ferret, who was just waking up from a nap in his enclosure. He yawned, an action that filled Juliet's heart with how cute it was. Decided, she rifled through her belongings until she found his winter harness and his leash. Though the ferret didn't usually stray out of her sight if she let him roam free, she didn't want to risk losing him in the accumulating snow outside. That, and letting him off leash outside was always a risk, what with the cleaning harpies roaming about and all.
When she opened the cage door, Romeo chirped and immediately weaseled his way out. Juliet managed to get the harness on him, albeit with some difficulty - he was more excited than usual. Maybe he can smell the snow, she reckoned. If there was anything Romeo loved more than food or sleeping, it was snow. As she led him outside, he immediately threw himself at the nearest pile and started tunneling, making happy dook sounds as he played.

|Chuck Oakes|He/Him|Satyr|Location: Big House|Tags: Jamie|

"Uh, yeah, sure thing," Chuck agreed, though slightly confused as to why. It wasn't until he heard voices floating in from somewhere nearby that he realised Jamie must've been nervous about running into the camp directors.
"- announced at the campfire later tonight," a voice he instantly recognised as Chiron was saying. It was met with a grunt of assent that undoubtedly came from Mr. D. The two came into view not long after, halting their conversation at the sight of the two teenagers looking through the winter clothes.
"I see you've found our cold weather supplies," the centaur greeted them, nodding politely to each boy in turn.
"Uh, like, yeah," Chuck replied, grabbing a pair of old cargo pants from the pile.
Chiron smiled, though his eyes remained preoccupied. "On the subject of winter weather, have either of you experienced any potentially prophetic dreams of late?"
"Wow, like, right to the point, man," Chuck remarked. He shook his head, indicating his lack of prophecy as he pulled a long-sleeved t-shirt from the table of clothing.

|Vivienne Isole|18|She/Her|Khione|Location: Peak of Mount Marcy/Blizzard Dreamscape|Tags: Aydan|

The ability to control ice... Vivienne's gaze sharpened with interest. Perhaps that's why he feels oddly familiar... could he be another demigod of Khione? The thought seemed ludicrous. Certainly her mother would've told her if she'd had any godly half-siblings... right? Her mouth tightened into a thin line. I'll have to bring it up with her as soon as I awaken, she decided. "There is much one can do with ice," she stated instead. She neglected to show him what she meant - that would be a dead giveaway of her identity. Though she had manipulated the dream blizzard around them earlier... Still. She decided she was better safe than sorry in this situation. Speaking of awakening... she felt her grasp on the dream begin to slip.

Jamie Wallace|16|he/him|Iris|Camp|tags:Chuck, Chiron
Jamie stiffened at the sound of voices, his hazel eyes widening with fear. He nodded in greeting, letting Chuck answer for fear that if he opened his mouth he might say something he didn’t want to say. It didn’t take long for the subject to be brought up though, and he felt his heart plummet as Chiron asked the two of them about prophetic dreams. He shot a nervous look at Chuck, then turned his attention back to Chiron. “Uh...no,” He began, then instantly regretted it. He didn’t want to lie to Chiron, he hated lying, and even if he did like it, he was terrible at it. Even the most gullible person would be able to see right through him. “Well...now that you mention it I might’ve possibly, maybe had...something like that.” He said, looking back at the table and avoiding meeting the centaurs gaze. He hesitated for a moment, then launched into a rapid description of his dreams and what he’d seen, mostly a lot of snow, ice, and the peak of a mountain he didn’t recognize. His words came out quickly, as if he didn’t trust himself to keep going if he stopped to breathe. Once he had stammered out everything he looked back at Chiron, silently hoping the centaur would say that wasn’t what he had meant, and nothing weird going on had anything to do with Jamie.
