Alicia and Shy stared at the Pokémon for a while. She then turned to Shy, “what do you think, Shy? Would you like to battle?” The words hung in the air, and the Froakie shook back and forth. Alicia has no idea what that meant.

“Froakie..” Shy said, a very tentative speech, “Froak..?” Alicia tilted her head at it. Was that a yes? She smiled at it, trying to encourage the Froakie to speak more. Alicia looked back at the Shroomish. It did seem to want to fight.. but she wasn’t sure if she wanted to.

Shy stepped forwards. It looked more confident, and stared at her as if ‘are you coming?’ Alicia was startled. “Not so shy are you now, huh, Shy?” She smiled at Shy, stepping towards herself.

So it looked like they were going to battle the Shroomish.

Alicia sucked in a breath, “Shy, use Pound!”

Emilia skidded to a halt after the pokemon, curious as to why she had stopped. A rather peeved looking bounsweet was glaring daggers at Genesis, who at least managed to look a tiny bit embarassed by the whole ordeal. "A bounsweet... huh. Never seen one of those before" Emilia muttered before glancing down at Genesis, who's collar of flames seemed to be flaring almost irritantely. "You want to try taking some of that anger out bud?" she whisperd to the pokemon, who trilled happily in response. "Alright then! Use tackle!" Emilia called out as Genesis slammed into the bounsweet.

[Outside] Noticing how excited Ray was, Max stared at the pokemon for a bit finding it unusual at first how the Vulpix looked different, at first he thought that It could be shiny but later realized how it did not sparkle like Ray did. Quickly He pulled out the pokedex to check just what this pokemon is. Vulpix, The Fox Pokemon, Alolan Form is what the screen had told him. "Isn't Alolan Vulpix weak to fire moves?" he had thought.

But knowing his charmander could not learn any fire moves yet he called for Ray to "Scratch It!". Seeing as Ray was so excited to fight. He Obeyed.

Tepig continues to battle valiantly, following your every command. Targeting the Bellossom due to the type advantage, he releases yet another Ember.

Tepig looks back at you, proud of his achievement. However, before he could celebrate more, the Pidgeot unleashes a Quick Attack to knock Tepig off his feet! Luxray unleashes another Thunderbolt in retaliation.

The Pidgeot stumbled, finally beginning to grow tired. One of the grunts seems to have a grin on their face, despite the freezing cold trap. There may be an ulterior motive to this battle. However, it's best to think of what's happening right now instead. Kai looks over to you. Seems like Kai has a plan.

I shake my head, impressed. Who would've known that Tepig could battle so well? Especially since he's usually running away from everything - it's all because of his sudden winning streak, I bet. Regardless, I call out, "Great job, Tep!" when the Bellossom falls, and it's a good thing that Luxray's Thunderbolt hit when it did because I wasn't paying much attention to Pidgeot's movements. Completely my mistake.

I scan the makeshift arena for Luxray and salute him, but the grin on my face freezes uncomfortably at the sight of the grunt. Warily, I level out my emotions, then turn to Kai. "What do you think that's about?" I ask him.

The blue-tinted grass pokemon replied, putting a shiny rock in Laura's hands. Laura traced the firey symbol with her finger. "Is this a fire stone?" Leif replied by jumping in Laura's bag and pulling out her pokedex. "Sni!" "I guess I should check then." Gently taking it from her Snivy, she let her pokedex analyse the stone. "Yep, a fire stone." Laura nodded to Leif before putting her fire stone and her pokedex in her back. "Nice meeting you Mudbray, Leif, do you wanna go now?" Laura asked. ❞

Laura smiled and stood up. "Okay Leif, you ready?" Leif looked up at Laura and smiled. "Sni-vyy!" The grass type pokemon said standing opposite to her opponent. Laura looked at her pokedex and read the moves quietly to herself. "Okay.." She focused on the Mudbray who was waiting for their attack. "Leif! Use tackle!" Laura called out. The shiny pokemon glanced up for a split second before lunging at her opponent, knocking them backwards, and then hopping away. "Snivy!" Leif said, clearly proud of herself.
