Ah, okay then. Not even a small one, like for kitchen knives (not saying he'd carry it on him)? this is what I get for making my charrie go find something I saw in a show that one time, which looked cool. Time to spend an hour on wikihow trying to find the best method for sharpening a cutlass

(Out of my characters - not including Vivienne- the only one who actually has her own whetstone is Mira; she usually keeps it in the chest with all of her belongings in Cabin 10)
(Juliet just steals them from the forge and then usually returns/discards them in random places asfgfhsg)
(I actually have my own whetstone as well; I collect knives so it's pretty handy! lol)

Hone - sharpening
There's different stone types (or modern day grits) and most use some sort of liquid (water/oil) to help the metal and stone glide (reducing friction while sharpening).
Modern day - for quick and mass making - electric sanders/grinders are used to efficiently get the job done.
Every warrior should know and keep their weapons sharp (no matter the metal or blade), although it does take time.
Stropping is the last step to add a nice finish to a blade (usually a strap of leather or small block of wood)
