Agatha "Aggy" Clemson|Female|Unknown (Ares)|Location: Hermes Cabin---> DIning Pavilion|tags: open
Finally, to find the woods! Aggy thought, hardly noticing Juliet as she entered the cabin the redhead was leaving. She dipped between cabins, heading back toward the arena to find these elusive woods. As she neared them, a cold wind howled, nearly blowing her back. She huddled in her jacket, very aware of the chill, but still wanting to explore, new blade in hand. She soldiered on.
Is Long Island normally freezing in June? Aggy thought, not acquainted with the area well enough to know.
Well, that's
not normal. This time, snow came in with the breeze.
Maybe if I just...get a hot cocoa first? She was within sight of the woods, but the cold on her metal cutlass bit through the tattered wrappings on the handle. She turned back toward the cabins, suddenly aware that she had no idea how to get food at this place.
She paused and took a deep breath, closing her eyes to hone in on the scent.
It's almost lunchtime, certainly...ah! SHe smelled food! No longer caring about the woods, she rushed toward it, excited to warm herself from the inside out.
She entered the pavilion, noticing temporary signs on each of the tables with the name of a god on them. She gravitated toward toward the Hermes table, grabbing a plate and stuffing it with food before packing herself into one of the few empty spaces.
Now, how do they get drinks? She wondered, eyeing an older camper sipping lemonade. She watched it magically refill when they put it down, and stared down into her own empty glass.
"Hot cocoa." She demanded, hardly hazarding above a whisper, should her guess be wrong and the other campers make fun of her. She was pleasantly surprised when it worked, and set out to guzzling the warm liquid.
Ophelia Rogers|Female|Aphrodite|Location: Pegasus Stables |tags: Poppy
Ophelia smiled softly at her friend's nickname, then picked up a rake and muck tub to set to work. Although their were only twelve stalls, they were extra large to allow the winged horses more room, and could be quite the hassle to clean up. She stepped into a stall, bemused by her friend's joyous cacophony of pop songs as she set to work.
Ophelia loved the burn in her arms from hard work, and knowing well that, no matter what, she'd be able to take care of herself. Being fragile was a weakness, one she'd tried to work out of herself long ago, with minimal results.
I'd rather be feared than loved, for love is fickle. . She frowned, attacking the last pile of wet shavings with a gusto before moving on to the next stall.
Ophelia winced at Poppy's suggestion of the skies, but smoothed her face out quickly enough.
"The woods are good, it's a little chilly for flying." She said, glad for an excuse to stay on the ground. Although Spicy, her favored mare, was steady and had a wide barrel, Ophelia still didn't fully trust her wings.
Yeah, woods will be good, she thought, daydreaming about rushing over field and branch, with the wind itself carrying her.
She paused a moment in her work to pull off her hair band and shake out her hair, tying the dark strands into a low ponytail. It wasn't very threatening, but it would have to do as her hair wasn't long enough for many other styles to keep it out of her face.
Henry "Hank" Walker|Male|Apollo|Location: Strawberry Fields |tags: Kenna
Kenna's voice snapped Hank out of his thoughts, and he startled a little, causing him to graze the knife on a finger. He flinched, and put the knife back into it's case, shaking out his hand as he waited for it to stop bleeding. He whistled for Izzy, and she came running over, before getting distracted by a white bug. Odd, how many of them were out, considering the cold breeze that was blowing through.
"Nah just thinking."He said, focusing on the Poseidon girl, a flashing her a smile. Gods, he hoped she couldn't puzzle out his thoughts, being a half-blood was enough pressure for anyone, and that was before the deaths, as common as rain.
"It's like..."He trailed off, the joke lost on his tongue.
A flurry landed on his nose, and he flicked it away.
"Hey, no fair!"He called out, noticing more around them, surely being manipulated by the water girl.
"You know I can't match that, I don't have weather tricks!" He said, voice a little hurt. But he still lifted up a hand and started focusing light onto it, as if heat would follow.
