❝ Emilia gasped at the small pokemon, her eyes twinkling as she squatted down to be closer in height to the creature. Her first instinct was to 'pspsps' at it, but that didn't seem to work so she gave up on that idea quickly enough. The cyndaquill shuffled over to her hopefully, nuzzling its snout into her hand. The girl grinned, gently picking the pokemon up to its delight. "You want to come with me man? I'm gonna call you Genesis if that's alright" she grinned at the pokemon, who seemed to light up at that. "Quill!" the pokemon trilled, bumping her head against the pokeball in Emilia's hand. ❞

"Congratulations!" the professor smiled, before walking you to the door of the labratory. It belongs to a house on route 1. the address is on the box." the professor asked. ᴄʏɴᴅᴀQᴜɪʟ came out of their ball, wanting to be beside you rather than in the ball, they bounced, ready for the adventure.❜

Vincent walked quietly through the thick underbrush, his bright yellow mask glistening in the pale sunlight. His newly required companion, Spring, was far ahead of him. Such an adventurous Pokemon was new to Vincent, as he himself wasn't much of the type. But he was determined to try his hardest to train Spring, no matter what he had to face.

Vincent intended to find a new Pokemon within the forest, but so far his luck was low. Perhaps Spring would have a better chance of finding someone in the lush undergrowth, but only time would tell that. Nonetheless, it wouldn't hurt to have hope, right? ❞

❛ᴠɪɴᴄᴇɴᴛ and their new companion headed to route one right away! so excited to begin, they immediatly started exploring. however, the route seemed quiet...a little too quiet. ꜱᴘʀɪɴɢ decided to explore further, so she bounced over to an undergrowth. ᴠɪɴᴄᴇɴᴛ chased after her, jogging to catch up to the quick and excited pokemon, he looked at the sight in front of him.. ꜱᴘʀɪɴɢ had discovered a special pokemon. he knew that. but he didn't know what or who it was.. let's ask the pokedex! ❜

Vincent paused. The Pokedex beeped a harmonious tone as it explained what the Pokemon in front of him was.
"Cosmog, the Nebula Pokemon. In ages past, it was called the child of the stars. It's said to be a Pokémon from another world, but no specific details are known."
The strange, wisp-like creature only floated there, quietly watching Vincent.
The creature made him shiver. It was as if he had met a god himself, standing before a Pokemon who was proclaimed to be the embodiment of the universe. Perhaps Vincent could see through time if he gazed long enough into Cosmog's starry abyss.
But one thing was certain through his entire thought process: it must be mine.

Vincent proceeds to send Spring on the attack, entering a battle!

I'm assuming you're my starter anyways..." Marshall trailed off as he gave one more glance around the lab to make sure there wasn't anyone here. He hummed as he rose from his position.

❝ [The Lab] Max looked at the gold pokemon. The moment he spotted the Charmander in the lab, it was as if he couldn't stop staring at it. He had asked the professor if the sparkly lizard could be his starter and they agreed. He'd just need to name it before Max would leave the lab and so he thought. After what felt like ages Max finally spoke to the pokemon infront of him. "Can I call you Ray?" he asked and the Charmander let out a small roar in agreement.

[Outside] After leaving the lab, Ray riding on his shoulder, Max decided they should head towards the nearby forest as there'd be loads of grass and bug types for getting Ray stronger for if they'd need to battle anyone later. And so the new trainer and his shiny Charmander head towards the forest. ❞

❝ Alicia walked towards the Froakie, who hid under one of the tables. The girl smiled softly. She stepped back, and kneeled down to the little Pokémon’s level. “Shy?” She whispered to the Pokémon who backed up further. “Or am I scary? I’m sorry if I’m scary.” Alicia backed up, she wanted the Froakie to come to her, and she really hoped that she hadn’t scared it.

“Froak?” The little thing poked its head out from under the table, clearly intrigued with Alicia. Alicia came forwards. The froakie seemed less scared, but definitely shy. Alicia smiled widely as it came up to her own small hand. “Froakie!” It added.

Alicia was bursting with joy on the inside, but she didn’t want to scare the Froakie. “Now let’s think about a name!” The Froakie looked up to her curiously. “Hm..” the girl thought. “How about Curiosity?” The Froakie shook its head and made a face. “No? Ok then.”

Alicia and Froakie went back and forth on names as the pair walked outside. Alicia sighed, and then asked, “Ok, I have one last idea, let’s hope you like it.” Alicia smiled before saying, “How about the name Shy?”

Froakie croaked a happy response. ❞

"You're free to keep it, and the 'prize'. though it takes place on the third route, so you'd have to get through the first two routes on your own" he explained.❜

Alicia looked up to the professer. Being as short as she was, Alicia would look like a young child. But she wasn't. After a moment of pondering, Alicia looked back to Froakie, who tilted it's head at her. What was she gonna say?

Yes. That was what she was gonna say. Alicia looked back at the professer and said. "We'll do it!" The girl looked back at Shy, a look that was asking if the Pokémon was actually willing to come. She got a very shaky nod. "It'd be a fun first adventure." Alicia glanced at the professor, and smiled determindly.

Shy didn't seem to have much of the same thoughts. The Froakie was sitting there and looking as if it did not want to go anymore.

But what bad could a a map bring?

And then Alicia and Shy took the map from the professor, Alicia saying thank you, and the Froakie still worrying. Opening the door, Shy hoped through, followed by Alicia. The door creaked closed behind them on their way out.
