❛ᴘᴀᴜʟᴏ arrived to the labratory quite early, wanting to look at all of the available and adoptable pokemon before anyone else. the professor welcomed them, and handed them their pokeballs and pokedex! they took a look around, finding it hard to choose between two. but once they came across this next pokemon, they knew they were the one they needed. the pokedex took a picture, and began to talk..let's see what they've said.❜

"Don't worry ill take care of it" she smiled as she replied before following the boy. Part of her was slightly worried because she was a new trainer with only two pokemon and had never battled before. She would not let the boy see her worry thought and walked with a confident stride.

The professor nodded and gave her the Pokeball for Snivy and she smiled at it as the Pokemon stood up excitedly. "You're so cute!" Laura exclaimed, patting Snivy's head softly. "But you'll need a name, right? What about Leif?" The Snivy seemed to approve. "Alright, Leif! It's time for an adventure!" She and Leif ran out of the doors of the lab, Laura was full of energy, and couldn't wait until she could find her first encounter. ❞

❛ʟᴀᴜʀᴀ and ʟᴇɪꜰ headed out to route one, once recieving their pokedex and pokeballs. the pair seemed excited to explore, and they couldn't wait for their first encounter. they jogged through the route, looking through bushes, and around tree's, but no pokemon seemed to be of their interest. the two continued onward, and ʟᴇɪꜰ trailed off. however, when ʟᴀᴜʀᴀ ran after the snivy to go and find her, she came across a new pokemon. this pokemon played with ʟᴇɪꜰ happily. let's pull out the pokedex to identify it!❜

Laura saw something grab Leif's attention, and the shiny pokemon made a noise of delight. "Something grab your eye, Leif?" Laura asked, eunning after her excited pokemon. Leif seemed to be interacting with a brown... Pony? Horse? Donkey? Pokemon. She pulled up her Pokedex to scan it, and the device confirmed it was a Level 5 Mudbray. Laura walked over to Leif and the Mudbray, smiling. "Mind if I pet you?" She murmured, gently stroking one hand over the donkey Pokemon. "Leif, do you wanna play with the Mudbray?" Laura asked calmly. "Snivy!" Leif answered tapping the Mudbray's hoof, and running away, it seems Leif wants to play a little game of tag with the Mudbray.

Luckily everyone was just finishing their Pokepuffs, so she retrieved everyone except Sagebrush and waddled up to them. She bent down with her hands on her knees to get a better look. "Hello there, little guy. Are you lost?'
