everything about this is amazing,, the multilayered shading, the texture of the hair, the color, the split effect,,
but I think my favorite bit of the whole thing is that striking pattern in the bg on the left side being reflected in the stream of tears running down iqbal's cheek that is just suCH A GOOD FANTASY VISUAL

THANK YOU SO MUCH the funniest thing is probably the fact that two of the things you mentioned were completely unintentional. the multilayered shading was meant to be a placeholder before i airbrushed it out, until i realized it looked pretty decent on its own :0c as for the background, i originally had the inky black on both sides of the canvas, until i erased it with the intention of trying something else only to realize HEY LEAVING IT ON THE LEFT SIDE ACTUALLY LOOKS PRETTY GOOD...
no mistakes only happy accidents
