Skylar Kakitid, 16 years old, Female, Daughter of Hecate, 7 year camper, Location: Clearing, Near the Dining Pavilion, Tags: Hank

Skylar had been walking around with only a few signs ups for her brilliant plan. She needed more experienced campers to do it with her! Her dark grey eyes scanned the clearing, people were starting to head back to their Cabins now. She headed towards the Dining Pavilion, maybe someone eating breakfast would love to join! That is when she saw Hank walking towards it. He was good friends with Skylar and a son of Apollo. He would totally want to join!

She ran up to him with a huge smile on her face. "Hey Hank!" She noticed he had on his normal quiver and arrows and had a dog leashes to his side. Skylar loved animals, she wished she had a companion. But how would she take care of it if she was in danger all the time? Oh well. "Guess what! Imputtingtogetherashowthatiwanteveryonetobeapartof." She took a deep breath. "Itsforthefirstyearstogetademoofourpowers. Whatdoyouthink? Want to join?" She smiled hugely at him not realizing at all his fast she was talking.

Agatha "Aggy" Clemson|Female|Unknown (Ares)|Location: Armoury|tags: Mirabelle, Juliet
18 inches, 2.8 pounds, celestial bronze, refurbished in 1989. She frowned at this last statistic, noting the tattered leather wrapping on the handle, the scarred guard, and the dulling blade.
Drawn back into the conversation by Juliet's comment, she remembered that she still had to get armour to match that the other girls were wearing. But there was something more pressing to attend to.
She looked up at Mirabelle, the authority. With more earnestness in her voice than she'd had all day, she asked "Can I keep it?" holding up the blade.
"It's been out of use for so long..." She added, eyes returning to inspect the sword.
Surely they wouldn't mind, it was a blade, after all! It craved usage.

Henry "Hank" David Walker|Male|Apollo|Location: Dining Pavilion, outside|tags: Izzy, Sky
The appearance of the pale girl gave him a start, but he recovered quickly enough. Izzy perked up immediately, and set to work eyeing the Mist manipulating girl.
He gave her a warm smile, and tried to follow along as her words spewed out. Though she was well-meaning, she still spooked him a little, especially when she used her powers to play tricks on him. Harmless though they were, he'd learned to be on guard around the Hecate girl, not that he'd ever outwardly show it.
"You're putting on a show?" He said, trying to clarify what she'd said.
"If that's it, I'm in!" He said, grin growing broader as he thought of showing off in front of the best audience: new campers.
He could shoot a bow, nah you wouldn't see it well in the dark. How about making a torch? Or maybe he could turn someone invisible by manipulating the light around them? Make the next volunteer glow? Do awesome impressions of some monsters?
The possibilities were endless, and Hank was here for them.

Ophelia Rogers|Female|Aphrodite|Location: Cabins ---> Half-Blood Hill/gate|tags: Emerson (mentioned), open
Ophelia left the cabin, trying not to run to start running toward the gate as she realized that most the new blood had already arrived, -drat it!- and wouldn't be prime for making an impression on.
Instead she strode gracefully, still covering the ground quite quickly. She had to force herself not to check on her third eye as she walked, knowing searching fingers would only claw through her morning's work.
She stood by the gate, looking out for prey. Something moved from far off, and she held a hand over her eyes, trying to make the form out.
A lone camper approached, carrying several bags and was that a cat carrier?
She grinned, and waved wildly, but saved her breath until they were in hearing range.
They reached the gate, but didn't seem to see her yet, instead looking longingly at the already gathered campers. Ophelia felt a pang of empathy, as she too had once been in this position, and stepped forward, calling out "Hello! First timer?" With a kindly smile, the third eye she had painted on to gain fear slipping her mind....

|Mirabelle Everhart|17|She/Her|Aphrodite|Head Counselor|Location: Armoury|Tags: Aggy, Juliet|

"Of course," Mirabelle replied matter-of-factly. "A lot of campers get their weapons from here. I think Je-Juliet is still using the dagger she picked up on her first day." She stammered a bit, realising that she'd nearly slipped up for the second time that day. Come on, Mira, get your head in the game, she mentally berated herself. The sudden airhorn blasts from earlier had shaken her up more that she would have like to admit - she wasn't entirely focused on keeping her secret under the tightest of wraps at the moment.

|Juliet Pratten|16|She/Her|Hermes|Location: Armoury|Tags: Aggy, Mirabelle |

Juliet nodded, slipping a scratched-up celestial dagger into her hand. It seemed to have appeared out of thin air, but in actuality she'd just smoothly pulled it from the pocket of her army jacket, which was still tied around her waist. "If you want custom weapons, you gotta get the Hephaestus cabin to make 'em for you, or at least show you how to forge 'em." She deftly spun the dagger around in her hands as she talked, disregarding any possibility of losing a finger. "Armour too. There's probably something in here that'll fit you, at least for now - it's best to get it custom-made though; that way it'll fit you like a glove." She patted her beat-up duffel bag for emphasis. "And you get choice of material - some campers like something simple like leather, while others go the full Greek armour route, fancy helmet and all."

|Chuck Oakes|He/Him|Satyr|Location: Half-Blood Hill|Tags: Karter, Pippa, Kade|

"Like, if Kade's got this, I'm gonna go find Chiron and like, fill him in on the new dudes," Chuck told the group, completely forgetting about the fact that he'd offered to show Pippa around. He wasn't the best at remembering things, especially when there was a lot going on. "He'll like, wanna know about brand new campers."

Skylar smiled and rocked on the heels of her feet. He said that he would love to and Skylar grinned wide. "Yes! I knew you would want to do it!" She happily sighed and started to list off what she was going to do. "Well I have gotten a few other people to do it. Know anybody else who would want to?" Without waiting for an answer she continued on. "We would have everyone take turns or pair up. I don't know. You could do some sort of light thingy. Or arrow thingy. Or both! I will do magic of course. Hmm, and it will be a surprise! But will I have to let the adults know what I am doing? Nah. Want to help me ask some other people to join?" She looked expectantly at him, looking like she couldn't hold in her energy.

Hunter Mayhem | Ares | Tagging: Samuel | Location: Camp

"Never really alone, huh?" Hunter echoed. That was an interesting idea. Never being alone must be nice. He decided not to mention his thoughts on that though, for the other boy looked so dejected about... something, he doubted any commentary at the moment would be appreciated.

"Ah yeah. The name's Hunter Cameron Mayhem." The blond extended a hand and managed a smile despite his awkwardness. It felt... quite odd to be doing introductions properly for the first time after seeing the young man around the camp for... probably as long as he had been there, he reflected silently. However, they had never had much talk pass between them.

Kade Turner | Athena | Tagging: Hank, Karter, Chuck, Pippa | Location: Camp, Half-Blood Hill

"Yeah," Kade agreed. "Best to drop off your bags and take a few minutes to just take things in a bit first though. I know there’s a lot going on, and Mr. D..." he didn’t want to speak ill of the camp director who had provided them with a safe space away from the monsters and hostilities of the world, but it was undeniable that Mr. D himself was a piece of work. "He can be a lot to deal with upon first meeting." That was truly the best way it could be put, he decided.

"Do you want some help with your bags? I’m more than happy to help," he offered, nodding towards the bags Pippa carried with her. It wasn’t terribly far to the cabins, but even so, he didn’t mind putting the offer out there.

Agatha "Aggy" Clemson|Female|Unknown (Ares)|Location: Armoury|tags: Mirabelle, Juliet
Aggy didn't notice her near slip up on names, too focused on her new friend. "Thank you." She said to Mirabelle with awe, still engrossed in the sword. She was pulled away by a movement from Juliet, flicking out a dagger to show it to her. She marveled at the smooth technique, noting how she'd probably hidden it up her sleeve. She watched the dagger flow over the scruffy blonde's hands like water, but kept her ears focused on what she was saying.
Her eyes lit up at the idea of a do-it-yourself weapon. "Wow, Jewelweed," She said, not unkindly.
She frowned at mention of fancy armour."It doesn't make sense to wear a helmet, doesn't ir prevent you from seeing?" She asked, walking deeper into the Armoury to find the actual armour pieces.
She'd have to see this whole Hephaestus cabin later.

Henry "Hank" David Walker|Male|Apollo|Location: Dining Pavilion, outside|tags: Izzy, Sky
"Uhhh, maybe Chuck?" Hank said, knowing that he'd have some cool satyr tricks to show. He grinned back at her, catching her infectious enthusiam.
"I saw him on Half-Blood Hill earlier, but I think he's taking a new Aphrodite kid to her cabin now," He said, a little wistfully as he thought of the girl, Pippa, that he was sure the others were still overwhelming.

|Mirabelle Everhart|17|She/Her|Aphrodite|Head Counselor|Location: Armoury|Tags: Aggy, Juliet|

"A helmet does cut down on your range of vision a bit," Mirabelle admonished. "But not wearing one leaves your head exposed and vulnerable to attack. It's safer to wear one than not." She shifted her bag on her shoulder as she watched Aggy search for armour. "Um, or that's what some of the Athena campers told me." The last part wasn't entirely untrue - she was told that once when she was younger. In actuality, she'd just added that to make herself sound less insightful - gods forbid her cabinmates found out she actually thought.

|Juliet Pratten|16|She/Her|Hermes|Location: Armoury|Tags: Aggy, Mirabelle |

Juliet rolled her eyes at Mirabelle's sad attempt to dumb herself down. Gods, I wish she would stop doing that, she mentally griped. The daughter of Hermes couldn't fathom why someone would even care what other people thought. Not to mention that exact concept was the main reason she and Mira had issues in the first place... She let out a small puff of air in frustration before turning her attention back to the conversation at hand. "Yeah, I guess, you could wear a helmet.." Juliet mused aloud, pretending to be deep in thought. "If you wanna slow yourself down." She smirked, placing her hand on her hip. "I go for full leather - it's not heavy, fits well, and allows for quick movement! Perfect for getting out of tricky spots."

s.m 5 - camp

Postby senna_ » Thu Dec 03, 2020 12:04 pm

━ samuel malfrid • nemesis • tags: hunter

Hunter's tone was so innocent and cheery that it almost hurt Sam. If he was correct, the blond held a few years on him, yet the way he carried himself and spilled out his words made him seem younger. Not necessarily immature-young, just young in general. Or maybe Samuel's gloominess just made him seem older. Adults were always more dreadful to hang out around, after all. He didn't take Hunter's echo as mocking, just an aloud muse, and chose to let it go. What was there to say, after all?

His dark eyes flitted down to Hunter's pale hand as he stretched it towards Samuel's figure, staring at it as if it was infected, or something he had never set his eyes on before. After a fleeting second or two, he pushed his back off the bark and shook the blond's hand. There was no point in introductions on his end, for Hunter had already called out his name.

"Hunter-Cameron?" he asked for clarification, moving back to the old tree. "Or just Hunter?" He didn't know who exactly introduced their entire birth certificate name, but maybe this guy really did like his name enough to feel the need to reveal it all in one breath. Who knew with people? He supposed it didn't hurt to ask- and it would make him seem somewhat interested, as well, despite the fact that his mind had most certainly floated elsewhere. Where, exactly, Sam wasn't too sure, but he definitely felt a bit out of it at the moment.

Agatha "Aggy" Clemson|Female|Unknown (Ares)|Location: Armoury|tags: Mirabelle, Juliet
"Interesting," Aggy said to Mirabelle half-heartedly, her mind already made up.
"No helmet then!" She responded to Juliet with much more enthusiasm. "Full offense, I'm sticking to Jewelweed's advice for this round!" She called joyously.
Surveying the options, she picked a scarred leather chest plate, and felt-lined celestial bronze cuffs. The chest piece was too long on her, but it was better than using too tight armor. All of the pieces she selected had a distinctive smell of sweat. Somehow, she still couldn't be happier.
Although it would be favorable to also cover her freckled legs, nothing would fit well over her loose fitting basketball shorts. She was glad her hair was too short to need pulling up.
"How do I look?" she asked, striking a pose and popping out her arm muscles like she imagined a Greek hero might.

Henry "Hank" David Walker|Male|Apollo|Location: Dining Pavilion, outside|tags: Izzy, Sky

p.d 7 - camp entrance

Postby senna_ » Thu Dec 03, 2020 12:20 pm

━ pippa diggery aphrodite mentions/tags: hank, skylar / chuck, kade

Pippa's smile wavered ever-so-slightly at Kade's comment, and her eyes flashed over to Chuck for clarification. She wondered, for a split second, how long the two had been at camp for. Chuck had approached her first, clearly having the experience when it came to guides and run-downs, but Kade offered to lead her towards the cabins, so he too must have been familiar with the campground. Chuck didn't add on to Kade's comment on Mr. D, instead having mentioned Chiron, who was their other leader, if one could consider it that. What was the point of having a leader in a place like this that wasn't friendly towards their campers, especially the newcomers? Were they human, or were they Satyrs, like Chuck? Or maybe they were something completely different. Kade's comment threw her off, though, and Pippa was admittedly a bit nervous to meet this Mr. D. What if he didn't like her? Apparently Aphrodite didn't use her charm on him like she did with these so-called monsters in the North Forest.

"I'm okay," she reassured Kade. "I'm a tough girl, don't you worry." She shot him a playful grin to assure him she was only joking before picking up her bags. "But thank you."

Her gaze trailed onward, catching sight of a blonde who was running heartedly after Hank. Friends, most likely. Would she make any friends? She hoped she could at least get along somewhat decently with her cabin mates. She wondered if any conflict would unsettle her Goddess. "Go ahead, Chuck, I can explore later. I'm ready whenever."
