2020 Advent - Casual Chat V.1 [read first post]

Hey I'm brand new this year. I understand something special happens on December 18th. What's up with that?

I unfortunately missed the first days pets due to work(I work overnight and sleep during the day, lol). Does anyone know if there will be an opportunity at the end to get the ones we missed or will I have to trade for it?

You’re only 1 day late though and we all got 5 adopts with only 3 outcomes so should be pretty easy to trade for them

On dec 18th we get rare+ pets rereleased from years ago so it’s a chance to get old pets you may want or use them to trade for others
Be careful to check what pets you may have before trading though as while they’re aging they won’t have the rarity tag and they will be dated dec 18th instead of the original date of the pet

I'm sorry to come in negative but I hate so much when petsites have an advent calendar event and you can't go back to the previous days. Like why? Why can't you go back? Why is this a thing on so many petsites where it's like "oops missed a day? too bad, you can't go back."?

The event just makes me feel bad because I missed the first day and can not longer get the pets released and I don't know if I could come on every day. I hate events where you're expected to come in daily so much.

Edit: apparently we got the rare rat and I'm happy about that, but I'm still extremely bitter over missing the dogs.

I think it's so the pets have a higher chance of being uncommon. I get annoyed too, but missing a few days of the advent calendar is better than missing the entire summer event like I did :/

Yeah, it is a little weird you can't go back and "open" previous day's gifts. I mean, you can do that with real advent calendars!
But I personally don't mind, it litterally only takes a few seconds to log on, adopt the present and then move on with your day. There really shouldn't be an excuse to not do that. You literally can't be too busy to do it. You could do it while on the toilet or as the first thing in the morning/last thing before going to bed or something! In my case, it's the first thing I do in the morning, even if I can't get a good look at them and trade for missing outcomes before the afternoon :)


But anyway, it has been a lovely start to the AC this year. Loving those owl puppers from yesterday <3

I think it would make more sense if they wanted to just have a couple days times to get pets you missed, so if you missed pets from one or two days ago you could still get them, but you wouldn't be able to backtrack the entire event.

The reason we missed it was because we forgot that CS operates on a different timezone. It switches over early at night, so we didn't know check the day before the first for us because it was still the 30th and we didn't know CS rolled over, and we didn't check until later on the 1st because we were working and had schoolwork due, but by the time we were able to play CS it had rolled over to the second day. I'm sure we're not the only ones who have timezone confusion which can result in them missing daily events.

the owl dogs look so cool, and I'm still disappointed about missing them, but I don't want to trade without knowing the rarities.

Edit: two people were kind enough to gift us the dogs, thank you so much!! we'll keep all of them, and we'll do our best to pay it forward!

I got 4 of them. It won't be rare.
It may be the least common of the set - but even then, it will be uncommon at MOST.
Wait literally one day {a few hours now} , and it will be everywhere.
The is always one outcome from each set that is the "hot" outcome that day.
The next day there will be a new one.
