I really like these guys...or maybe I just like that they're made by Tess, idk. They give me warm fuzzy feelings, like baking Christmas cookies or something. A very comforting litter indeed.

I'm also dying to know what the caterpillars will grow into.

I can't agree more! I love to bake gingerbread and they remind me of the lovely cosy smell.

I haven't seen just plain white eggs in some time!

Me three! I'm always pleased to see a new chicken litter - and this one in particular came at the perfect time for me.

We lost two hens from our flock just this morning because of a neighbour's loose dog... so even though it's been a rough day, I can find happiness in watching these peeps grow :'>

Perhaps their plain Egg™ appearance means they'll be based on a real chicken species, or perhaps Solloby is looking to surprise us! Either way, I'm sure I'll love them ♥

my own personal thoughts here: perhaps we keep seeing the same species of store pets over and over again because some artists are concerned about their creations not being appreciated as much if they released a batch of the "low demand" species. ^^

It's also worth noting that the artists usually do not choose when their litters get released. Sometimes they do request certain months, for example we've had several litters released in birth months.
But most the time, no.

It's also interesting to note that some pets aren't necessarily made with their eventual release methods in mind!
For example, the Lilian dino store pets happened only because the t-rex outcome ended up being deemed too edited for the staff litter that Lilian originally made it for.
And I know that in 2016 when the two headed deer were the Halloween banner pets, the artist said that they did not make the litter with the goal in mind of them becoming banner pets, they just dropped them off as Halloween pets that happened to be chosen.

Looks like I'm writing off the PPS caterpillar, tried to trade for someone's spare, offered to overpay, and was told they rather wait. I'll try again at the end of the month.

Edit: spent $5 on 80 C$ for the thing because I have no shame at this point XD

On a happier note though, I can’t wait for the dogs and horses to grow! :D Maybe the horses are bird-themed? They look like there’s some kind of egg in a nest :)

I didn't even realize until you pointed that out! Very curious... I'd certainly love to see a bird inspired design but perhaps it'll go in another direction, like snakes :o

(I can't help but be reminded of Werefly's delightful horse litter from earlier this year, haha.)

On the store pets, I'm also not a fan of the fennec line art in general, it sort of creeps me out, lol. But the colors and embellishments are nice. I'd love to see dragon store pets sometime, or fish!

i love all the browns used on this month's pets, they all look so cozy : D im most excited for the cats and horses though !!

the little spots on the kitten are so so cute, and it kinda looks like there are trees on the blanket? they kind of have savannah/grassland vibes to me!

I lost track of time and adopted late yesterday, but there's so many cuties already!
I can't wait to see what the caterpillars do. (And of course I missed the PPS. )
