Kade Turner | Athena | Tagging: Hank, Karter, Chuck, Pippa | Location: Camp, Half-Blood Hill

Kade turned back to face the newcomer, Pippa. "An Aphrodite girl, huh? Man...most demigods aren’t claimed until WELL after they’ve showed up at camp." Embarrassment washed over him though as he realized she’d introduced herself and maintained a calm face despite all the weirdness that the camp already must look like. So he just held out his hand with an awkward, slightly lopsided smile.

"Sorry for the lack of introduction, that was awful of me, forgive me that. It’s been a while since anyone new passed these gates. I’m Kaden Turner, call me Kade," he introduced himself with what he HOPED came off as a reassuring smile.

Ophelia Rogers|Female|Aphrodite|Location: Cabins ---> Half-Blood Hill|tags: Emerson
Ophelia slipped out the pink door, then made her way briskly through the cabins. She noticed several new campers as she walked, but she ignored them in favor of the best blood: immediate arrivals. She had to force herself to focus on not touching her extra eye to check on it as she climbed, having to trust in her own skill if she didn't want to ruin it with searching fingers.
Her goal was to park herself by the arch, but she changed course when she noticed two smiling figures there, and headed for the road instead, staying just inside the magical border.
She paused a moment, catching her breath in deep gulps as she searched the road for cars, but none came in view.
Wait.
Hold on a second, was that a person, or a trail of dust? She held a hand over her eyes, trying to make the form out.
She grinned, and waved wildly, but saved her breath until they were in hearing range.

Henry "Hank" David Walker|Male|Apollo|Location: Half-Blood Hill |tags: Kade, Pippa, Chuck and Karter
Hank stood frozen for an instant, giving Chuck a rare death glare as he somehow managed to deepen the hole Hank had made. "Don't worry, Camp-Half Blood has magical borders that keep us safe, and we'll teach you how to fight," Hank said, winking in a conspiratorial manner as he realized that it was up to him to save them from this catastrophe. "Besides, we have the best healers in like, the world in Apollo cabin, and there's this Ambrosia stuff that'll fix you right up!" He patted his chest when he mentioned Apollo, as if to denote himself as one of them.
While Hank was great with healing himself, his experience with others was... not much. But that didn't stop him from grinning away, as if he'd healed a battalion by himself.

Agatha "Aggy" Clemson|Female|Unknown (Ares)|Location: En route to Cabin 11|tags: Mirabelle, Astren
Aggy pouted as the older girl reprimanded her, but she perked up at the mention of an area, and her eyes went wide at the mention of sparring. "There's an area? Y'all spar?" She said, enthralled by her favorite subject.
"How are you like, not there all the time? That sounds awesome!" She exclaimed, doubling her pace even though she didn't know where she was going, eager to reach the blessed place, and blissfully unaware of whatever else Mirabelle had said.

|Mirabelle Everhart|17|She/Her|Aphrodite|Head Counselor|Location: Leaving Half-Blood Hill|Tags: Aggy|

"Yes, but - wait a minute!" Mirabelle called after Aggy as she sprinted to keep up. Luckily, her height had it's advantages - long legs made for long strides. Aggy's worn red suitcase thumped against her leg; it was rather awkward to run with. "The cabins are on the way there," she explained. "We should at least drop off your things in Cabin Eleven, and then I'll show you the arena. On my honour." She added the last phrase to show that she truly meant what she'd said.

|Juliet Pratten|16|She/Her|Hermes|Location: Cabin 11|Tags: Open|

Juliet sat on her cot, stroking Romeo as she brainstormed pranks to pull with her newly acquired supplies. I could rig the Big House... but Mr. D's probably hiding out there to escape from all the new campers, she mused. Of course, I could always rig any of the cabins, or even ours... Oh wait! The new campers... prime prank victims. A smirk played across Juliet's features. I could just throw bang snaps at them, but that's too simple, she reckoned. I'll have to do something big... false monster attack? The wiry girl immediately grimaced. Nope - nope. Too many ways that could go wrong.

(I'll post for Juliet later lol; as of now she's just brainstorming stuff in the Hermes cabin)

|Chuck Oakes|He/Him|Satyr|Location: Half-Blood Hill|Tags: Karter, Pippa, Hank, Kade|

When Pippa mentioned that she had been claimed by Aphrodite, the satyr's ears perked up. "You don't say!" he exclaimed. "I happen to be like, tight with the Head Counselor of the Aphrodite Cabin. We go waaaay back." He shot a glance across the grass at Mirabelle, but she was busy talking to some other campers. "Don't worry, she's like, super nice and stuff."

Chuck ducked his head sheepishly when Hank shot him a rare death-glare. After seeing the son of Apollo shoot the puffs off of a dandelion from a far distance, he really didn't want to get on his bad side. The satyr kept his mouth shut for the time being; mistrustful of his own abilities not to mess the conversation up again.

(Juliet's 'bout to get Aggy... And I'm here for it!)

Agatha "Aggy" Clemson|Female|Unknown (Ares)|Location: ----> to Cabin 11|tags: Mirabelle
The redhead sighed dramatically, but slowed down a fraction and let herself be led to the cabin "You better!" She growled, but it was less effective with the smile she couldn't wipe off her face.
"So, is there like anyone else I'm gonna meet at the cabin?" Aggy asked, confusion once again clouding her features. She wrinkled her nose. "And what's the whole sleeping situation? Are we in bunk beds? She asked, and this time she really did frown at the mention of one of her sworn enemies. As a kid, Aggy had gone to a sleep-away camp for what was supposed to be a week, then promptly been sent home after falling off a bunk bed and breaking her arm. She still had a strong distaste for them, and it showed in her demeanor as she slowed still more.

|Mirabelle Everhart|17|She/Her|Aphrodite|Head Counselor|Location: Heading Towards Cabin 11|Tags: Aggy|

"The Hermes cabin is kind of a... well, to put things frankly... it's always a bit of a mess," Mirabelle conceded. "There are some bunk beds, some cots... some of the campers even use sleeping bags." She wrinkled her nose as she described how uncouth their living situation was. "Needless to say, they almost always fail cabin inspections." The willowy girl thought on Aggy's other question momentarily. "They're probably all still at the dining pavilion... or off causing havoc somewhere." She sincerely hoped that was the case; she was none too eager to run into Juliet again after their awkward eye contact that morning.

|Juliet Pratten|16|She/Her|Hermes|Location: Cabin 11|Tags: Mirabelle, Aggy (both mentioned)|

Rather than go out to find her victims, Juliet had thought of a much better idea... lie in wait and let the freshest of the newbies come to her. The unclaimed demigods would be staying at Cabin 11 - so naturally, the daughter of Hermes had prepared a Cabin 11 special greeting for them. If you could call it that. After putting Romeo back in his enclosure, Juliet had put tinfoil under all of the sheets in the cabin - anyone who tried lying down on a bed would get a crinkly surprise. Not only that, but she'd taped an airhorn behind the door. Anyone entering the cabin would get a good scare as they came in! She hadn't had time to prepare much else yet, but she was rather pleased with what she'd accomplished so far. As she was decorating the room with toilet paper, Juliet detected voices nearing the cabin. Showtime! she thought with a smile. She slid herself under her cot to lie in wait.

p.d 4 - camp entrance

Postby senna_ » Tue Dec 01, 2020 4:16 pm

━ pippa diggery aphrodite mentions/tags: mirabelle/chuck, karter, hank, kade

Words were flying left and right, and for a moment, Pippa's head felt as if it had begun to spin. She undoubtedly had a rather blank expression on her face, and she hoped it didn't seem like she was completely unimpressed, for that wasn't at all the case. But goodness, they were rather chatty! Usually that wouldn't be too much of an issue for Pippa, for she was hearty with her words as well, but the sights of the camp were a lot to take in, let alone the fact that four strangers had scampered up to her like lost puppies. She supposed she was the lost puppy in the current scenario, though.

Her baby blue eyes flashed between Chuck and Hank as the two playfully bantered back and forth, occasionally throwing in little side comments to Pippa before continuing on with a separate topic. Pippa herself had just finished processing the whole bow-and-arrow situation when the newest brown-haired boy stepped up to introduce himself. But Pippa could only handle one thing at a time. She put her hands up as if in a surrender pose, palms out towards the boys as if in an attempt to slow their excited words.

"Hold on, let me process all of this," she told them, her tone evidently amused as she took in a breath. "Gorgeous blonde girl over there is Head Counselor. So, my sibling? Is that right? Half-sibling?" She gave a helpless shrug before shaking her head ever-so-slightly. The blonde did indeed look like quite the gem. She was contentedly chatting away with a few others, but even from afar, Pippa could catch the friendly twinkle in her eyes. She would most certainly have to stir up a conversation with her later on. She turned back towards the small group, waving a finger in Hank's direction. "I'm only seventeen, I don't plan on dying anytime soon. Though if these gates are the gates to death, I'm happy to just turn back and go about elsewhere." Her words were teasing, despite the somewhat worried expression that had glazed over her. She could tell they weren't joking. She supposed it made sense, given the whole magical vibe of this place, but it was still rather worrisome. Pippa really didn't come here to die. She raised and lowered her brows as Hank's quick little added comment. "Glad she's got my back, then." As curious as she was, Pippa also wasn't sure she wanted to know what went down between these monsters and her Goddess for them to get on what seemed to be happy terms. She would just have to announce herself as Aphrodite's girl before entering, apparently.

"What's that?" she found herself asking once the word "empousa" settled in her brain. "An empousa? I guess I really need to touch up on my Greek mythology, because that doesn't ring a bell. Or is it one of Camp Halfblood's little charms?" If she hadn't gotten so caught up in the idea of these dangerous monsters, Pippa would have snorted a laugh at Hank's following comment on training. Her, with a weapon! Pippa hadn't ever touched a weapon. She had city hands, and hadn't ever thought about swapping them for a pair of tough fists. "Never mind all of that. It's nice to meet you all. Kade, Karter, Hank, Chuck," she added in a mutter, eyes settling on each one as she murmured their names, confident she would remember them all. Karter had gone completely silent, and Pippa was sure he was probably bored. There wasn't anything special to her anyway, so really, she didn't blame him. "So... what exactly is a typical day in the camp? Apart from the-" her eyes momentarily settled on the bow Hank carried- "training, that is."

s.m 2 - camp

Postby senna_ » Tue Dec 01, 2020 4:27 pm

━ samuel malfrid • nemesis • tags: skylar

Samuel remained rather unphased at Skylar's startled moment, keeping his hands casually behind his back as he waited for her to turn her attention onto him. Usually, he'd become rather angry if he wasn't addressed, but based on the way his voice seemingly spooked the living portion right out of Skylar's body, he took he wasn't easy to avoid. She stared at him for a moment, almost as if to get a good idea of who he was. His gaze still did not falter, remaining steadily on her face until she verbally addressed him. He let his dark eyes sweep back out to regain visuals of the younger campers up ahead.

"You're just going to give them a little demo about who Skylar Kakitid is," he corrected. His eyebrows knitted together as she tripped a younger boy, a faint frown playing at his pale lips. "Not learning. Bullying." Though he knew he had no choice but to give her respect, for she'd claimed herself to be the Counselor of her small cabin, Samuel didn't always agree with everything she did. Like the picking on, for one example. He truly believed having someone like Skylar, who was indeed more experienced than some with the ways of magic, would be a good way to get the newcomers familiar with the idea of it, but playing at it from afar wasn't exactly the most fair. "You're going to make them too terrified of you to actually want to listen."

His dark eyes returned onto her, unwavering, giving away very little, as per usual. His powers were more reserved, and Samuel didn't often like to act upon them. What point was there in showing off, anyway? He believed their granted powers were a gift, a good use for survival, not fun and games. "Do what you wish to these poor students. I'll just make sure I'm behind them spreading the word on who their latest trickster is when need be."

Hank smiled at her. Of course she was an Aphrodite kid. Even if she hadn't been claimed, Pippa had a certain glow to her that only Aphrodite kids possessed. "I don't plan on dying soon either!" He exclaimed, and held out a hand to high-five her.
He frowned at her comment about 'empousa' "Ambrosia? You'll learn more about that later, for now, it's probably best to let Chuck give you the scoop on what a day here looks like." He smiled encouragingly at Chuck, the occurences of just a moment before long forgiven.

Agatha "Aggy" Clemson|Female|Unknown (Ares)|Location: En route to Cabin 11|tags: Mirabelle, Astren
"Oh," Aggy said, her excitement waning. She frowned at the mention of failed inspections, then bit the bullet. There was no way to ask this without sounding weak.
"Is it, like dangerous or something?" She asked, voice dipping to just above a whisper. She really shouldn't show fear, but approaching the rambshackle cabin mentioned brought all the homesickness down upon her.

"No, just... unkempt," the older girl replied. She gestured to the exterior of the cabin as they approached, indicating it's rather run-down appearance. Without thinking twice, she pushed open the cabin door.
Mirabelle nearly jumped out of her skin when an airhorn blasted as the door creaked open. She instinctively grabbed a tube of lipstick from her purse, uncapping it in one swift motion. A two-foot long blade sprung from where there once was makeup. Quickly realising how foolish she seemed brandishing a xiphos to an empty cabin, she cleared her throat awkwardly and replaced the cap, turning the sword back into a tube of lipstick. I should've known, she ruminated as she tried to mask her shaky breathing. Curse those Hermes campers. Mirabelle straightened her clothing as she looked around the room, uncomfortably aware of an embarrassed blush creeping up on her features.
Her heart beat even faster when she realised that the cabin wasn't as empty as she'd initially thought.

|Juliet Pratten|16|She/Her|Hermes|Location: Cabin 11|Tags: Aggy, Mirabelle |

Juliet immediately realised her mistake when the Aphrodite Head Counselor entered with a new camper. She hurriedly pulled herself out from under her cot, banging her ankle quite loudly on the metallic base. She cursed under her breath as she straightened up, immediately taking in the sight of a rather flustered Mirabelle standing beside an undoubtedly new camper.
"Mira - sorry - I-I didn't realise it was you," she apologised hastily. Her typical wit and charm had fled, leaving her anxious and full of regret.
The Aphrodite Counselor crossed her arms over her chest, obviously putting on a brave face - but Juliet could tell that she'd really startled her with that airhorn trick. Guilt squirmed in her gut. Gods forbid she ever said this aloud, but... Mirabelle was fragile. At least, to her perception. And as much as she hated to admit it, she still cared about her. If she would just stop being so weird about the whole thing, we could go back to being friends, she thought bitterly. "Anyways..." her attention drifted to the new camper. "What's up, newbie?"

|Chuck Oakes|He/Him|Satyr|Location: Half-Blood Hill|Tags: Karter, Pippa, Hank, Kade|

"Uh, yeah," Chuck started, shuffling his hooves. "Like, the camp schedule and stuff changes every day! Other than like, meals and cabin inspection." He scratched his neck nervously. "And ancient Greek lessons. Like, the Athena cabin usually teaches those, but like, sometimes Head Counselors or older campers'll do it." He tugged on his goatee as he thought further on the camp schedule. "There are like... different activities each day, but you always get free time before dinner, and then, like, after nighttime stuff, a singalong led by the Apollo cabin." He hoped he was doing a better job at explaining than he had the year previous. The amount of confused demigods wandering around had been almost hazardous.

Agatha "Aggy" Clemson|Female|Unknown (Ares)|Location: Cabin 11|tags: Mirabelle, Juliet
Instinctively barreling toward the noise, she was nearly run through with a blade that seemed to have come from... Mirabelle's purse? Somehow, it avoided her skin, which was strange, since it had been on dead course for her guts. Oh well, it must be like, beginners luck or something.
She grinned, already having much more fun than the last camp she'd been to.
The willowy girl was focused on something-no- someone, inside the cabin. A girl wearing a bright orange t-shirt thudded out from under a bed. The new girl focus on Mirabelle too, and also seemed to forget about her. When the new girl finally noticed her, Aggy bristled at her remark. "Call me newbie one more time, and you will be paying a visit to this place's infirmary," She said, teeth gritted. "My name is Aggy." She clarified, teeth still grinding together and a glare pasted on her face as she looked up at the slightly taller girl.
