Seiya Miura, or Adrien, is the son of Demeter and Jun Miura, a lawyer. Seiya can barely remember his father or what the man even looked like. He can't really member any of his early childhood besides the day of eighth birthday when his father dropped him off at Camp Half-Blood. His father had been yanking him through the foods when he tripped and fell, hitting his head on a large rock and passing out. It wasn't until he woke up in his father's arms as he was placing him on the ground in front of the camp. As he never saw his father again, Adrien has a lot of internalize resentment towards his father and anger in general. Adrien rarely speaks unless he really has to and tends to avoid others. He's often been called sulky and gets easily irritated if someone bothers him. Seiya only likes and trusts a handful of people and tries to avoid drama at all costs. He doesn't flirt and doesn't really understand flirting, he's also super obvilious to it. Whenever he does speak, it tends to be in a gruff tone and sounds snarky and rude thought it isn't always intentional. When people he doesn't like or know talk to him, Ren stares at them with a blank face until they stop.

conrad spends most of their life in a haze, asleep or somewhere close to it. most people's experience of them is that of a quiet
and introverted kid who doesn't spend very much time around others. they're more likely to be curled up with a book somewhere
than living it up at a huge party, if only because it's a lot easier to pass out in the middle of reading a book. they talk in a very slow,
measured tone that tends to make people start to feel tired too. despite being socially scarce, they're not exactly shy. if you strike
up conversation, you'll probably find someone a little odd, but definitely with something unique to say. they're a great listener (as
long as you don't take it personally if they fall asleep in the middle of listening!) and a loyal friend, grateful to anyone willing to put
in some of the extra work of befriending a person who's exhausted or alseep most hours of the day. they can become a little co-dependent
because of this. on the rare instances that conrad is running on 100%, you'll find someone VERY different. he has a flair for the dramatic,
and if you catch him at the right time he'll talk your ear off about fashion or literature. he's a hopeless romantic all the way and is more
than happy to give advice on love life that he is in no way qualified to give. he has much more of a sense of (often morbid) humor and
more snark to him than people expect meeting him in his typical state. all and all, they're a bizarro, campy kid nerfed by the circumstances
of their birth.

conrad grew up in görlitz, germany, raised by his stay-at-home mother and his chemist stepfather. he was actually told the truth about his
father at a very young age, but he thought it was a just a story his mother told him as a child to explain his chronic illness to him until he
was claimed at age 13. he was fully aware that there was something different about him, such as the extremely vivid dreams he had all of
his life or the fact that he would frequently cause his mother to fall asleep with him on accident while she was homeschooling him. his mother
is a very important person in his life and she's given him a lot of support. she was the person who enabled his babygoth tendencies, having been involved in the subculture as a teen herself. he attended camp halfblood every summer through middle and high school before going to the university. his relationship with his godly father is a VERY different story. they've only met once and it did not go well. conrad resents hypnos for being the source of their narcolepsy, which negatively impacts their life and their relationships.
