can we talk abt bts getting nominated for the GRAMMYS??!?! kinda sucks that they had to release an eng song before they finally got some recognition n they were still snubbed from categories they deserved nominations in but their reactions were so cute n i am so so happy for them (: it’s rly nice to see them breaking barriers and as an asian person myself i am so proud... this is HUGE!

My feelings about BTS are so complicated, especially around awards season.
I know I love Min Yoongi from the bottom of my heart, however.

oh my god the grammys right now makes me so upset. not only did super successful people this year like halsey and the weeknd get absolutely NO nominations, bts got ONE. everyone thought blackpink was gonna get a nomination too (maybe for ice cream?) but they didn't get ANYTHING. like yes i 10000000% agree bts deserves a grammy nomination, but for dynamite? yes dynamite broke soooo many records but songs like on, life goes on, and black swan just represent bts better than dynamite in my opinion.

bts are in a category up against people like justin bieber and taylor swift (who already have one and ten grammys to their names respectively, and are WAYYYYY more well known in america) and it just bothers me because i feel like we all kind of know deep down that taylor is going to win it per usual. im not bashing on taylor or anything but i just know that the academy prefers her. i'm REALLY happy bts was nominated, but i'd be way more happier if they had a better chance of winning here yk.

I'm so proud of BTS that they finally managed to get a Grammy nomination, they fully deserve it.
Honestly, I wish that ON and Black Swan weren't so underrated. Black Swan is a real masterpiece from all points of view, the message, the story behind the MV, the emotions embodied through the choreography.
I think that the ON era was one in which they put a lot of effort in. The choreography itself is very detailed, extremely physically soliciting, not to mention the complexity of vocals they have to perform in the same time. I respect them even more after this song and it saddens me that the great effort they did to create this song and to film the manifesto in perfect synchronisation fades in comparison with Dynamite, just because it has English lyrics. Don't understand me wrong, I like Dynamite as well, it has a nice vibe and sounds good, but it's quite disheartening that the boys have to sing in English to get recognition.
