gypsysong taking scurryfungekit to keyclan to live with her father snickersnee. while in keyclan, gypsysong flirts playfully with her crush ruststreak, mentioning how cute the kits are as they stumble around.

feathereyes refuses to allow any of her patrol-mates to help her carry the body of her former leader and mentor ashbreeze back to camp. spiderscorch & pumpkinflicker being an absolute wreck as they see their mother's body. feathereyes setting the body down in the empty (graveyard), sitting between her mentor's two sons as she whispered comfort to them as though they were her own family; she wraps her tail around spiderscorch's back and rests her head on pumpkinflicker's shoulder.

shiverblast being carried to the empty by coalfur & sunspot, the former who goes to gather his two kits from camp. gneisscoat and dioriteflare stand next to their father's body, with gneisscoat an absilute mess, and dioriteflare holding her tears back to comfort her brother; she's always been the strong one and that won't change now.

dioriteflare leaves early the next morning, gone for several days on her travel to hazelclan. she has no patience to wait at the border with this news, and when found by a random hunting patrol wandering, states she has news for rosestar about her mate. dioriteflare appears emotionless as she stands before rosestar, requesting to speak to her privately, and only once the two mollies are in the privacy of the leader's den does the munchkin allow her walls to come down, truly sobbing out her heartbreak as she explains of her father's passing to his love.

flareblood not leaving his son guavaseed's side in the rit zien den as he starves to death over the course of the week due to his broken jaw. papayapad refusing to leave his littermate's side the week as well. mallowsun trying to be with her mate through the week, ignoring the fact that she is still mourning over the loss of their first sun tangfin. on his final day, guavaseed is surrounded not only by his littermate, but also his plethora of half-siblings who shower him in love; dianthusbounce, orchidstem, fleurcurl, snifflekit, and applepaw.

the day after guavaseed is buried, papayapad and flareblood travel to quickclan to spend a moon with guavaseed & papayapad's father asphodelstorm, and other two littermates lycheepaw and dragonpaw.

Conquest Avenue Number of Cats: 7 | Next Starclan Visit: In two dawns | Pebbles: 20

Winter seemed to melt away in an instant as the two she-cats roamed the woodland. Moss from underneath the frost was soggy with glacial water, soaking it up like a sponge. The ground was so wet and mucky that most cats would deter away from it, but these two didn’t care.
They made their way around the bend towards a small creek, quietly trickling with icy cold water and lapping against the shores. By the edge of the creek bank was an old turned-over monster, ample amounts of pampas grass and Canadian wild ginger growing all around it. The two she-cats went inside, laughing as they laid themselves on the plush overgrown cushions.
“… and then the other cat said ‘What? I just find you a-mew-sing!’”
The other she-cat doubled over laughing at the other’s jokes, cackling like a crow. The pair died down a bit as it came to noon, a light breeze pulling in from the north.
Sweetnose’s joy was as immense as there were stars in the sky. Finally, she had Sugarpaw back. That was one of her only goals in her new life, and now it was complete. But perhaps Sugarpaw had other plans, ones which made Sweetnose giddy.
“Sweetnose?”
“Yes, Sugarpaw?”
“What do you think Conquest will think about our relationship?”
Sweetnose’s heart sank. What would Conquest say about their love? Would he separate them just as Hawkstar did?
“Well…” It was hard for Sweetnose to speak. But Sugarpaw interrupted her.
“Sweetnose… forget what I said. We don’t need to worry about that.” A small, warm smile grew on Sugarpaw’s face as she mewed.
That seemed to calm Sweetnose down. However, something about Sugarpaw was off, but she couldn’t quite put her finger on it…

One crow is consumed by the clan, one hunting party is sent out (Hare’s Tail, Mickie, Tigger), one patrolling party is sent out (Sweetnose, Sugarpaw)

Morningstar had been sent dreams all her life, and from up until last moon, she had no idea who or where they were from, and what the meant. But the dream-senders had revealed themselves. StarClan. And so as she curled up in the middle of the new RyeClan camp, she thought as hard as she could to make a dream of StarClan appear. Please, StarClan! Send me cats for my clan!

Leafbare has come to a close and snow has begun to melt. Rain is more common which may lead to floods in water-based or low-lying territories.
Prey is only just beginning to return although kittings will run smoother and the chances of queens or kits dying during birth will begin to drop.
Loners, too, are beginning to explore clan territories which makes the odds of finding new cats higher than it otherwise would be.

─ Last Moon ─

Shiningpaw looked at the new Shaman, frowning. He didn't understand why Whitelotus had accepted an outsider as their Shaman. Who knows why he left his old clan! He could of been terrible at healing.
"Have a staring problem, kid?" Redflame questioned, not even looking in the white tom's direction.
"No, I just have a problem with undeserving Shamans." He insulted, yet immediately regretted his outburst. If his mentor heard him talking like that, he would be disgraced.
"Undeserving, huh?" He shuffled his paws a bit, looking towards the herb storage. "Blackberry leaves. Can find the bushes in sunny areas, perhaps near Piper's Point around here. Used for painful bee stings. Poppy seeds. They're used to calm the mind and body, I'd recommend them for a queen after a extremely stressful labor." He paused for a moment. "And as for Branchpuddle. She wont admit it, but I'm starting to hear her joints aching. I'd suggest ragwort leaves, they're easier to find after a heavy rain." He added, turning and leaving the medicine den.
Shiningpaw felt embarrassed to have doubted the tom.

─ This Moon ─

Lynxpaw was left to "rest" for days on end. He still felt hazy in his mind, clouded by the fever a couple of days ago. He was tired of staying in camp and doing nothing. He thought the relentless training brought onto him by his father was horrible, this felt worse. Not only did he not feel good enough for his clan, now he wasn't doing anything for them. The feeling was terrible. He didn't care about a stupid sickness, he wanted to do something. However, at the same time, he was feeling relief. Relief that all the expectations were temporarily lifted from him. Relief from the prying eyes of questions of his future. Relief from responsibility. He simply laid in his nest, his mind swirling. 'At least I could get some sleep...' He thought, sighing.

Lynx was walking a narrow trail in the darkness. He could see some of the jungle underbrush, but he couldn't make up anything past that. He narrowed his eyes, seeing a white figure. As he came upon the being, he recognized the face of his friend. "Mistpaw!" He yelled, dashing forward. He smiled at his lost pal. "Let's race back to camp, last one is a smelly trout!" He challenged, laughing.
However, Mistpaw simply shook his head. "There's more important things for now, Lynx." He simply stated.
His friend was now joined by a large bengal tom. Lynxpaw noticed how their eyes almost perfectly matched his own. "We've never spoken before, but I've been watching you, young cub. You have been given a high honor by your father, haven't you?" He questioned, his face almost emotionless.
Lynxpaw nodded slowly. "I'm... supposed to be Chieftain." He answered hesitantly.
"Do you want to be?" He pushed, his eyes searching.
The young tom was taken aback. "What I want doesn't matter. I've been the Heir since I was born, nothing has ever been decided on wants." He spat out, a little surprised at his own outburst.
The brown tom smiled wide. "But what if you could change that? What would you do?" He questioned.
Lynxpaw thought for a second, taking a deep breath. "Well, I would be a guardian. I don't want to lead the clan, I just want to protect those I love." He answered, looking into Mistpaw's dark green eyes.
"Then it shall be done. Lynx, when you awake, take charge of your own fate." He advised, touching noses with Lynxpaw.

Lynxpaw woke with a start, his eyes wide and scanning the cave around him.
"Honey, calm down. You were just dreaming." Faunawisp reassured, purring. Lynxpaw looked towards the cave entrance where his father was coming, settling in after a patrol.
"Dad, I need to talk to you." Lynxpaw yelped out, feeling as if he had to hurry.
Jasminestar sighed. "No, boy, you need to rest more. Whitelotus would kill me if I was pushing you too much."
"But this is very impor-" He was cut off by his fussing mother.
"Lynx, listen to your father. I don't want you getting sick again from getting all worked up." Faunawisp worried, licking the fur behind his ear.
Lynxpaw ducked away from his mother, feeling more frustrated than he's ever been. "Jasminestar! I do not want to be Chieftian. I am no longer your heir."
The den went silent. He couldn't even hear anyone breathing. The only sound was from his clanmates outside the den, unaware. "Lynx... Is this because you've been put on rest...? You know it's for your own good." Jasminestar pushed slowly, in shock.
He shook his head. "No. I've felt like this for a while now. I'm just not what Shoreclan needs for a leader. We need someone who has guts and faith in themselves to lead us in the right direction."
Jasminestar stayed quiet for a moment, then nodded. "Alright. If this is what you want, I respect your mature decision. But know that I still believe you'll do great things for our clan. Chieftain or not." He reminded, nuzzling his son's fur.
Lynxpaw, for the first time in a while, felt like the weight on his chest had been lifted.

Dapplestar came back to camp trailed by a small cat.

“Hey! Dapplestar! Looks like you brought home a friend!” Ladybugfoot said with some herbs in his mouth.

Dapplestar looked down at the small cat. “Aww your cute! Where did you come from?” She asked.

The small cat hissed “I am NOT cute!” He bristled, but didn’t look that scary. His small body encased in fluff.

What the small cat did, just made 5he two cats ‘aww’ even more.

The small cat’s face twisted into a snarl. “I want you to STOP,” He hissed.

The cats stopped laughing and Dapplestar changed the subject. “What is your name?” She asked.

“I don’t have one...” He said looking down at his paws.

“Okay let’s see...” Dapplestar looked around at the cat then came up with an idea. “When you met me, you ran up to me right?”

“Yeah! I was really fast too!” He boasted.

“Okay. You will be known as Windpaw. I hope Starclan accepts you into their clan,” She touched noses with the cat and decided to bring him with her on another border patrol and hunt.

“You want to know how to tell the scent of different clans? As well as hunt?” Dapplestar asked.

“Yeah!” Windpaw said.

“Looks we’ll be gone for a bit. Ladybugfoot. You can organize the herbs while we are gone,” Dapplestar said.

“Okay will do,” Ladybugfoot nooded.

“Now that that’s sorted, are you ready?” She asked the apprentice.

“Let’s go!” He yelled and ran.

"Alrighty! Let's head out." Dewpaw and Waspshine pranced away. "It's time we go out too." Rustleg rose to her paws. Her little nub tail twitched which was a usual signal for Sugarpaw to follow. Their training went on as usual, until..

[Rustleg POV]

Sugarpaw and I continued our herb gathering and I continued to teach him new things. A sudden screech echoed through the forest, not loud enough to reach camp so we could tell it wasn't Echosnarl. "That sounded like... Waspshine." Sugarpaw's voice was shakey. Without hesitation I found myself running as fast as I could on three legs, with Sugarpaw at my side. He went ahead of me and I heard him scream, and then.... sobbing. I hurried faster to see Waspshine and Sugarpaw starring in shock at Dewpaw, who was caught in a fox trap. I was panicking but didn't let it show. I saw her struggling and looked over at Sugarpaw and Waspshine. "Waspshine. Take Sugarpaw back to camp." I could tell Waspshine knew why I was asking this of her and she almost started crying, But I saw her take a deep breath and start to nudge Sugarpaw back to camp. "B-but Rustleg! Let me help!" He cried, but I focused on his sister. As his cries faded away into the distance, I starred at Dewpaw for a moment. "Dewpaw you must not struggle." I studied her as she tried to calm herself. I can't do anything at this point. I thought to myself. I was going to pull the trap out of the ground but the steak is berried under roots and other plant life. I sighed then touched her flank with my nose. I looked up suddenly to see an oddly familiar cat. Sugarcane, the cat Echosnarl had suggested to name Sugarpaw after. The ghostly cat wondered over to Dewpaw and touched her nose to the apprentice's, and she fell limp and rested her eyes. "Keep her safe." I whispered to Sugarcane. The she-cat smiled, and faded away.
