[epilogue]

The earth was cool beneath the tom's paws. He could see his breath in the air as he exhaled. Patiently, he waited for his messenger to arrive. The battle scarred tom was on alert, ready for anything. His ears perked up as he heard paw steps coming towards him.
"My lord," The messenger breathed out. "I come with news."
"Do you now?" The tom said coolly, his voice smooth and icy. "What have you discovered? You better make it worth my time, or I'll snap your neck right here."
"I promise it's worth your time, my lord," She said. "Irisclan. Horizonglow has founded a new clan named Irisclan."
The tom let out a roar of laughter. What a soft name! How could she ever think of being taken seriously with such a cowardly clan name? He rolled his eyes, and flicked his tail.
"Where is your father?" He asked, staring straight towards the she-cat.
"In the camp, sir," She told him.
"Humor me," The large tom said, licking his paw before swiping it over his ear. "What soft kittypet name did Horizonglow give you?"
"Peachpaw," The molly responded.
The tom let out another bark of laughter, obviously amused by the molly's name.
"What a joke!" He cackled cruelly. "Destroying her will be easier than I thought."
"What are you planning to do, my lord?" Peachpaw asked.
"I'm going to rip Irisclan apart, piece by piece," He snarled. "I will put Horizonglow in her place. Hogweedclan will be rebuilt. We will rise again from the ashes."
"Are-Are you going to kill Horizonglow?" Peachpaw asked him, suddenly thinking about Ashstream.
"Maybe," He shrugged. "Or I'll force her to watch as her clan is destroyed, and she'll be able to do nothing about it. I'll make her see what happens when you rebel against your true god."
"You won't kill anyone unless it's really necessary, right?" There was an obvious hint of anxiety in Peachpaw's tone.
"Don't tell me you've grown soft and gotten attached to them," He scoffed.
"I haven't grown soft!" The molly snapped defensively. "I just- I made friend. That's all."
"A friend?" He narrowed her eyes. "Friendship is useless. It never lasts. You'll only get hurt, Sunshine."
"She could be useful to us!" Peachpaw said, her voice straining slightly. The thought of any harm coming to Ashstream caused the molly great distress. She didn't want her to get hurt, no matter how cold she may seem.
"Mm yes, that's true," The large tom shrugged.
The two cats fell silent and tensed up, ready to attack, as they heard a rustling in the bushes followed by chattering of raccoons. When they realized there was no immediate danger, both of them relaxed and put their claws away. The scarred tom turned his gaze towards the apprentice.
"You must go now," He ordered her. "We will bring Irisclan to an end. Hogweedclan will be strong once again."
Peachpaw nodded strongly. Without another word, she turned away from the tom and retreated quickly. He watched with a cold stare as the molly disappeared into the forest.
"You'll pay, Horizonglow," He hissed under his breath. "You'll pay for destroying everything I worked for."

High Priest/Priestess
☆ essentially the deputy, they are chosen to take control of the clan after the god dies. usually they're the god/goddess' mate, but not always.

Medicine cats
☆ they heal the clan. they live their life in solitude, completely cut off from all other interactions except for healing and speaking to starclan. they are hermits, and once they become full medicine cats they get a completely new name change, usually one that shows their strengths.

Warriors
☆ they protect and feed the clan. they're honored, and they follow under the god/goddess.

Toads
☆ cats who are the age of a warrior, but deemed unfit to be warriors. typically they are the more petite or short cats. they are tasked with the messy things, like cleaning out the elders' nests, patching up dens, and typically are treated like servants in the clan. they're not allowed to have apprentices.

Apprentices
☆ warriors in training. kits become apprentices at six moons, and gain a warrior mentor. once they are at least 13 moons and have proven themselves worthy, they become warriors. if they fail, they are made into toads. apprenticeship is the one stage of life where smaller or more weaker cats can attempt to prove themselves worthy.

Queens
☆ they're the mothers of the clan. they're highly cherished and protected.

Kits
☆ they're the new generation of the clan. they're cared for by all of the queens in the nursery, not just their mother.

Elders
☆ they are retired warriors who deserve to rest. toads who have reach the age of retirement do not get to become elders, and instead must live their life out as a toad until they die.

Hogweedclan lives at the bottom of a mountain range in a forest. the forest is lush and green, and the clan makes their dens in underground burrows and hollowed out trees. the medicine cats and god/goddesses will travel up the mountain to the sacred waterfall (the moonpool) to speak with their ancestors. they often climb trees to catch prey and are excellent stalkers. their winters are harsh, and so are their summers. spring and autumn tend to be calmer seasons, and they get a lot of rain. winters in hogweedclan are cold and snowy. temperatures can drop so low to give a cat frostbite from simply being out on patrol for merely twenty minutes. summers in hogweedclan are hot and dry with little rain. it would be easy to get heatstroke if you overwork yourself. spring is very windy and cool with mid temperatures and a lot of rain. there is danger of flooding during the spring. autumn is cool and cloudy, but wonderful for taking strolls in.

Briarstar is the leader of Hogweedclan. Hogweedclan used to be strong and well known for their talents in climbing. But Briarstar began to rule with an iron claw, becoming cruel and strict. Horizonglow rebelled against him and was exiled from the clan. She founded Irisclan, and became Horizonstar. Briarstar's clan began to crumble, and he blamed Horizonstar for his fall. Now he seeks revenge on her and Irisclan, and hopes to crush anyone who gets in his way of conquest.

The current season is newleaf! The leaves are adorned with fresh dew and the sun beams gently onto the earth. Because the weather outside is so lovely, lots of cats are going out to enjoy it, and they might just need a new Clan to settle down in. TERRITORY
ryeclan is situated at the very edge of a farm. the farm is a very large stretch of land that contains many fields of wheat, rye, corn, etc. there is also a orchard full of fruit trees such a lemons, apples, pears, peaches, etc. the farm is mainly produce but does contain a small area for pet sheep, pigs, cows and chickens. the ryeclan camp is at the edge of the farm property, within the shade of a willow tree. there are many bushes and rye stalks that grow at the edges, making an effective wall. a small stream runs through a dip at the edge of the camp.

TRADITIONS
✦ many ryeclan cats were once kittypets. outsiders are always welcome to stay in the clan as long as they wish, as long as they aid in hunting (outsiders cannot be guards)
✦ elders do not live with the clan in the camp, but in the abandoned barn nearby. this is to ensure they are safe and warm. they always have 2 guards posted inside the barn at any given time
✦ it is common for a leader to chose her daughter as a deputy
✦ ryeclan cats are often collectors, a lot of cats will don trophies and trinkets found around the farm
✦ ryeclan travels to the moonfalls, outside of the farm territory, to communicate to starclan
✦ guards' apprentices become guards, hunters' apprentices become hunters
✦ medicine cats may have kits, and often their kits train to be medicine cats too. its common for ryeclan to have multiple medicine cats
✦ ryeclan usually has 1 or 2 farm dogs as their allies. these are called "cat-friends" and help in protecting the clan from larger dangers.

\\ Pinefang and Cocoaface set out against the chilly moor, at least the snow calmed down a bit. Descending out in the cold, they headed towards the Lonely Tree in hope of any prey that might be sheltering in it's roots. A single brown leaf poked through the wilted branches, the last remnant of the season before. The leaf shedded it's last grip and passed by their faces, drawing their attention to each other. Cocoaface bent their head back, sheepishly, biting their lip. Turning their head towards Pine, they stepped forward to draw their attention, took a deep breath, and started. "Pinefang... I know t-that it's a tough time, but I wanted to j-just say..." They paused for a moment before blurting out, "Will you be my m-mate?" They stood there for a second, not knowing what to do, before Pine responded. "Of course, Cocoaface! I wanted to say it too, ever since you bumped into me..." Smiling, they curled tails together, and continued hunting. (Gonna keep it short lolz) //
