I love Invertebrates! Although sadly my family see them as pests :(
I would like to own a ant colony someday!!
I also rescue bugs from my aunts pool whenever I can. Sometimes they stick around for a little while, but others perfer going as soon as they can.
Hello! I'm Chloe, I'm a adult Autistic girl! I have a lot of special interests :3

I've expanded my invert collection! I recently got a chocolate form Orthoporus ornatus (Sonoran desert millipede), two blue death-feigning beetles, two smooth death-feigning beetles, two dune beetles (but one died, cri), some black beetle mimic cockroach nymphs, some domino cockroach nymphs, and a giant Asian mantis nymph. I'm really excited about the mantis, this is my first one! It's a great beginner species, gorgeous green, and gets pretty big! It's already molted twice since I got it. I hope it's a female.

I got my first tarantula today! Was looking for some tips for her, as I'd really love for her to be as comfortable as possible. She's a Aphonopelma seemanni. I got her from a pet store down the road, conditions weren't great. The spiders were all in clear glass boxes with no form of substrate or water access. The tarantulas could also all see each other, and were clearly stressed. One even dropped its own leg in front of us. The owners said that they feed them 3 medium crickets every 2 to 3 days, and only removed the crickets when they got new ones for them to try to eat. I was never informed of when her last molt was, or anything of the sort. She was a new arrival they received, so she was healthy as far as I could tell. Any form of advice or help would be greatly appreciated! c:

hello, does anyone else keep isopods? I have a colony of zebras that i've had for 10 months, and I just picked up these guys today. Living temporarily in a plastic container that was from chinese takeout until I get a good tank for them. No colony for now, just a couple dudes hanging out in there.
This giant a. vulgare, which is why I even made a second habitat. I didn't want to let such a big one go:

and this Oniscus asellus who I found while looking for more vulgare. His front half is stuck in his molt so I'm not sure it will survive, but I'm hoping!

Hiya, I do! c:
Ooooh- those two are adorable, I always have a soft spot for the big ones as well! Zebras are gorgeous, I'm envious of all the cool color morphs people can get in other countries. Aha I've got more random containers temporarily housing various inverts than I care to admit, thank god they're so easy to keep.
I recently got some A. vulgare as well, enough to get a colony going even! I've been searching for them for a year so I'm super pumped I finally managed to get some. I also keep P. scaber, I have a breeding colony of wilds and am working on breeding oranges as well!
