Idris Irisson

Personality: Idris is a rather serious person, or at least seems so
from the outside. He doesn't laugh or yell easily, though he does have a
wicked sense of humour- he only ever tells his joke with a complete
deadpan face. His very serious attitude comes from a strong fear of not
being liked, so he refuses to show his true feelings in order to avoid being.
hurt. When certain that people do like him though (which may take a long
time), Idris becomes a lot more clingy and friendly, asking to hang out
often and always doing his best to make others feel loved.
As for his powers, being the son of Iris, Idris has control over colors, and
is able to change them to his will. Incidentally, it seems that his mother
took a certain human community under her wing as well: those that use
her symbol, the rainbow, to represent their pride. Due to this, Idris (who
does happen to be pansexual and polyamorous) has a certain hunch
when people are part of the lgbt+ community. He can't usually tell exactly
why, but it's a feeling that their aura might be.. More multicolored than
others.

History before Cyrrane: Idris didn't have such a bad childhood. His
power allowed him to more easily pick good people as friends. He was
aware of his heritage since a young child, since his father never kept
it a secret, but he decided not to tell others- it was a little too awkward.
When the apocalypse happened, Idris lost his father, who he had been
very close to. The next few years were hard. Until he found Athens.
Finally, it was like finding a family again- people who had lived through
a similar experience than he had, people who understood his past.
Until everything fell to pieces again. This time, Idris was adamant
about not wanting to be alone again. He stuck with two other
Athenians, Fate and Jasper, and together they traveled until they
found Cyrrane.

Ellie Silverhand

Race: Dwarf

Personality: Ellie is a very curious person, and isn't ashamed of
it at all: she'll happily bombard people with questions. But Ellie
also knows which questions to ask, and when to ask them. When
engaging in negotiations, she'll always make sure all terms are
clear, to leave the person opposite no wiggle room for loopholes.
Ellie has a lot of humour, and is very friendly with others- unless
she realises they aren't good people, at which point she won't
even try to pretend, and immediately cut them off, becoming
cold and unforgiving. It takes a lot to win her trust back if you
have lost it this way.

History before Cyrrane: Quite unusual for dwarves, Ellie's
family were travelling traders. From the youngest age, Ellie
travelled between dwarf clans, sometimes on the surface,
sometimes for weeks under the earth. During all this time,
she learned the subtle art of negotiation, advertisement and,
just in case, scamming. Before Ellie turned 18, her family (those
she was travelling with, so her two parents and older sister) went
to meet their more extended family in a dwarven village. They
had done this when Ellie's sister had come close to 18 as well:
in order to become a full member of dwarven society, they
needed to be proofed by the elder council of a village.

After six months, when Ellie turned 18, the elders of the village
and her parents were unanimous in their decision that Ellie had
mastered her chosen craft, negotiation, and gave her the name
Silverhand. Following family traditions, Ellie left her family for
a year to see how well she could do on her own- as it turned out,
she could do very well. After the year had passed, Ellie came
back, gifting her family her earnings. The four of them left the
village and went on with their travels. After some time however,
she began to feel like this was.. Too slow, too restrained. She'd
gotten used to doing things on her own, having near unlimited
freedom. Her parents understood this perfectly- it was, after all,
the reason they had left their own villages to become travelling
traders. Ellie thus bid them goodbye, promising to keep in touch,
and went off on her own. She's been travelling ever since. A few
months ago, after an encounter with a small group of people
working together, Ellie suddenly became very lonely- it hadn't
happened to her before, yet today, she wanted to be part of
something bigger, work with others to create something she
could never have alone. This is why she decided to give
sedentary life a second try, when she met Zaos and his patrol.

Atka Mangokpok

Personality: While being generally soft-spoken, Atka isn't particularly shy. He is
very curious about magic, technology and basically anything that makes things
go round. He is very stubborn about his opinions, but will rather stay quiet about
them, to avoid conflict.

History before Cyrrane: Atka comes from the frozen reaches of the south.
He had a normal childhood, punctuated by magic training (which was mainly
used to create warm light that penetrates the deepest snowfalls) and snow-
storms, sometimes so violent that they risked his, family's or friend's lives.
He lived in a village that was half hidden behind large cliffs, allowing the
small population of less than 100 to be partly protected from the deadly
wind and storms. The village hardly had any contact with any outsiders, but
sometimes, a traveller or trader would come by. A short woman, with fiery
hair, came once. Her name was Almtrude. She sat near their fireside in the
evening and told stories of far-off places, places where you could sleep
outside without freezing to death, and weird animals roamed, animals
sometimes with no fur at all, some with vert long necks, or some with
scales. This stirred Atka's imagination and made him dream.
A few years later, once he was old enough, he decided to leave his village
and travel in the direction Almtrude had come from, and find all these
wonderful things. It took him a while, but he eventually made it. It took
him a long time to get used to the heat (and he still isn't completely) but
Atka never regretted his choice. He travelled until one day he stumbled
upon Almtrude, who was patrolling on Cyrrane's territory. She was older
than he remembered her.. And he was bigger than she remembered him.
Atka decided to join them, at least for the time being.

Lathlaeril Wynieth

Personality: Lathlaeril is somebody who, despite acting very sure of herself,
constantly second-doubts herself. Her life wasn't easy, and she developed
some techniques, like acting very confident to make others respect (if not
fear) her, or slightly looking down on others to make herself seem untouchable.
She secretly wishes for somebody to see through the mask and actually look
out for her, instead of having to look out for herself constantly. This is part of
the reason she joined Cyrrane, in fact- part of a group, she'd need to be less
alone.

History before Cyrrane: Lathlaeril was born in an elf village that isn't
part of the Solis or Lunar clans. It was further to the south, in hotter areas.
Her life was going quite well, until one evening, while out to get some water,
she stumbled upon a man, all alone, looking confused and injured. She
offered to help him, and brought him back home to her family. They all
helped him out, and he was thankful.
The next morning, there was great stirring in the village. Lathlaeril went out
to see, and apparently, a village member had been killed during the night- he
laid at the bottom of a ditch, neck broken but clear finger marks on his neck.
Lathlaeril and her family were shocked, especially when they realised they'd
taken in a stranger in that same night. They went home and... He was gone.
They decided never to tell anybody. else they be thought of as traitors.
Many weeks later, as Lathlaeril was gathering berries around the village, she
saw movement in the bushes- and the same man appeared. He begged her to
not give his presence away, and requested she hear his story before
condemning him. Lathlaeril agreed warily.
The man, named Elden, explained that he was from another village, and
that he had left in order to see the world. He'd stumbled upon their village
on the night Lathlaeril had first found him, a little earlier in the evening.
And yes, he had killed that man, but it was an absolute accident. He had
surprised the man, who had been on guard duty, and as he fled, the guard
pursuing him had fallen into a ditch, breaking his neck. Elden had panicked
and tried to wake him up slightly too violently, leaving the finger marks on
his neck. As he told the story, Elden truly looked upset, and Lathlaeril
believed him.For weeks, she would come out and give him food, without
telling anybody else for fear of the others not believing them. Slowly, she
began to develop feeling for him.
The tragedy happened an autumn's night. Lathlaeril had been out to see
Elden, but she hadn't been careful enough. She was followed by another
member of the village, who saw the two of them talking- they both gave
themselves away. The elf alerted the other villagers, and according to
the rules, the murderer must be killed (they refused to listen to Lathlaeril
and Elden), and Lathlaeril, who was a traitor but still part of the village, she
was forced to watch him die, and was then exiled.
Lathlaeril wandered for many months. She was absolutely broken, until the
moment she realised she was pregnant from Elden. He would keep on living
though they baby. After this, Lathlaeril found some more strength and
made it through, eventually finding the Cyrrane patrol. She was finally safe.

Family: She had a girl with Elden, named Neia.

Neia Wynieth

Race: Elf

Personality: Due to her mother's silence and strict refusal to talk about her
past, Neia has become harsh with her, drawing away from her and holding her
responsible for this lack of information about her past. This harshness extends
to most people outside of the familial circle as well, being worse with adults
and softer with children, as they do not have anything more to tell her. Neia
is snarky and talks back all the time, but does so in an angry way more than
playful.

Family: Her mother is Lathlaeril Wynieth, and her father the deceased Elden.

Xander Sykes

Race: Fire Elemental

Personality: Xander is not, by nature, an evil person. He is on a contract to
kill people in order to send their souls to a certain Luce, (after he'd begged him
to save his sister), but he does not particularly enjoy the job, and would rather
have avoided it. Xander can however be rather manipulative, able to sound
friendly by chatting, but in truth, he does not particularly enjoy human
contact, and the cheerful chatting is mainly an act. When around people
that know him better, Xander is much more reserved in his manner of
speaking, since he knows he doesn't need to act nice for them to stick
around.

History before Cyrrane: Xander was born on earth, as a fire elemental.
He had a sister, but at one point, she became very ill, and Xander had nobody
else to turn to than Luce, a demonic person. Luce promised to save Xander's
sister in exchange for souls- souls that Xander would have to harvest. Xander
agreed, ready to do anything to save his sister.. But Luce failed his word and
she still died. Xander was however still bound by contract, and with another
person, Sable, who was also punished in this way for thinking she could beat
the king at his own game, Xander traveled the earth, taking over villages
little by little, turning them against each other to end up killing them. It
worked well until they got to Sanguis. Their plot ended up being given away.
Xander was ambushed and captured by the villagers, who tried to make him
tell them his whole plans. He didn't, of course, but did spend a rather
unpleasant few hours. He was saved by Sable, and, realising that it was too
late here, they fled the village (without realising that their actions had
already stirred up the village so much that it ended up splitting up the whole
village.
Bad luck adding onto bad luck, Sable and Xander were split up during their flight,
and it is alone that Xander ended up finally finding Cyrrane. He saw there a
new chance at a normal life, although he still worried- he still had a few kills
left to do.

Yiohan Findlow

Personality: Yiohan, to the image of his older brother, is calculating,
and a good problem solver. He does have less of a leader personality than
his brother, though his opportunism overshadows this lack of initiative.
Yiohan will with precision always pick the best option, being good at
considering long-term results. He is less of a charmer than his brother,
but good enough to pass well invisible amongst people that do not know
his true motives on a current situation.

History before Cyrrane: Yiohan comes from a rich nobles
household. He was the youngest son, and though he did not have the
same pressure than his older brother to take over the family's fortune,
he was always aware that he would inherit a part of it, and he was
well versed in the managing of that fortune. But that was
without counting on his father's problems. When his wife died,
Yiohan's father lost all will and dilapidated his fortune on money
games, useless decorations and more. After two years, it was almost
all gone. Yiohan and his brother decided to take things in hand and
they forbid their father from using any more money. But it was too
late, and quickly they began having trouble to get by. Yiohan's older
brother, Xzavier, set out to find work and regain money.. But Yiohan
stopped getting news from him after a few weeks.
He thus had to deal with the end of his father's fortune on his own,
trying to pay off the debts, and eventually dealing with the father's
death. At this point, he had nothing left, so the moment his father
was 6ft under the earth, Yiohan set out- whether to find his brother
or to remake his fortune, he was quite unsure. All he knew was that
he could not stay there anymore.

Family: He is the younger brother of Xzavier Findlow. He
surrogated for his brother and made Tamara pregnant, but will
never know the child.

Leaving Cyrrane: Yiohan joined his brother in a plan to take
control of Cyrrane. The plan went south however, and several
individual fights broke out. Yiohan took advantage of the situation
to escape into the forest, far from Cyrrane. He knows he should
not set foot there again.

Estrid Agápi

Personality: Estrid is a very reassuring figure, always there to give
advice and hugs. She is sincere and outgoing, and likes to place well-timed
jokes when she can.

History before Cyrrane: Estrid comes from a rather small human
village, at the foot of tall mountains. Her parents having died in a fire
when she was a baby, Estrid was brought up with her grandparents, who
were just as loving as if they had been her real parents. Time passed,
and though they were healthy, Estrid's grandparents grew old.. They
passed away at a day's interval one winter. Estrid felt alone, and though
she knew it was the way of life and they could not have hoped for a
better life, she was heartbroken at the loss of her only family.

That is when Emma, her childhood friend, became essential. Emma
stayed with Estrid during the long nights she mourned her family.
Emma was always there, whether to talk, to joke around or to
comfort. And the two grew closer- until they proposed to each other.
The two married a little over a year after the passing of Estrid's
grandparents. Emma had no family in the village either, and both
women longed for adventure: it was thus decided that they left the
village in search of interesting tales to tell.

Family: Estrid is married to Emma, and they have an adopted child, Eve.

Emma Agápi

Personality: Emma is feisty, can never quite sit still, but is very
loving as well: she will always do what she can to comfort those she
cares about, even if she isn't quite as good at it as her wife, Estrid.
Despite her outwardly confident attitude, Emma has very little self-
esteem, and doubts herself constantly, even if she hardly ever shows it.

History before Cyrrane: Emma's parents passed away in the same fire
as Estrid's, but she did not have the chance of having two loving grandparents
to take care of her. Instead, she was moved from house to house, to distant
relatives, family friends. However, nobody really kept her around for long-
she was too active, got into trouble too much, ate too much and became a
financial burden on the family.. All reasons for why she was placed in the
care of somebody else. By the time she was an adult, Emma had no idea
who to call family, and even less of an idea how to behave herself so people
would maybe like her.
Sole bright spot in her life: Estrid. Emma had a crush on her since teenhood,
but never dared saying anything: nobody had ever loved her, so why would
Estrid? And yet.. When Estrid's grandparents passed away, Emma did her best
to comfort her friend, and the two spent more and more time together.
At long last, they admitted their feelings for each other and married.
Then, seeing as neither had any ties in the village anymore, they decided to
leave and see the world, which went fine, but was tiring: they were happy to
settle into Cyrrane when they came upon the border patrol.

Family: Emma is married to Estrid and they have an adoptive child, Eve.

Eve Agápi

Personality: Ever since she could talk, Eve never stopped asking
questions. Why is the sky blue? Why do stars twinkle? Why do fruits
become brown? Nature's workings fascinate Eve, and she would love
to learn, and keep learning, for all eternity. Eve is feisty, talks back
a little too often in her parent's opinion, but is very loving and gives
lots of hugs.

Family: Eve does not know her biological family, and is
Emma and Estrid's adopted child.
