main plot
this is a long-term roleplay where the characters start by leaving the city they are from and then set out on an
adventure to reach a forest that is many days travel away. the journey is perilous & will require the cats to wo
rk together if they want to make it. the bulk of rp will be the journey itself & then discovering/exploring the f
orest territories. the second main arc will be the cats settling into their new territories and then separating an

personality. dawn is strong-willed & outspoken, bold & tenacious. her spirit is a fierce thing, lending her strength of will & the courage to get back up even if she falls. she is always poised & exudes serenity & confidence. at times she is a bit bossy & perhaps a know-it-all but her respect for all other creatures always colors her interactions. for all her positivity, she has a very level head on her shoulders & considers all possibilities before making a decision. she only takes cats she trusts with her life into her confidences, very guarded with her heart but still easy to befriend.
history; dawn was born at the edge of a fallow field under a treestump where she was loved & cared for by both of her parents. the going was rough for the small family on their own but dawn & her siblings were soon old enough to catch their own prey. her father, redfur, was insistent they stay away from other cats & chased strangers away from the field they lived in. but this independence resulted in tragedy when a dog roaming the fields discovered the treestump. redfur sacrificed himself to give his family a chance at escape. marigold was injured when the dog doubled back but managed to blind it in one eye & drove it off. no longer able to hunt, marigold nearly died but dawn & her siblings managed to get her to twoleg place where she was able to heal in the park. after surviving, marigold still couldnβt hunt & it was dawn, snowfur, sunlight & the park cats who cared for her until she died peacefully six moons later. this compassion taught dawn that redfur had misunderstood the value of working together & what family really meant. snowfur & sunlight have gone to live their own lives but dawn has stayed in twoleg place for the company. she was one of the first cats to suggest leaving together after having a dream of walking through a forest where the trees had stars for leaves & many eyes watched her approvingly. personality. like his claws, thorn has a sharp attitude & quick wit that make him overly sarcastic & blunt to cats who arenβt worth his time. he is restless & leery by nature, not very trusting & unforthcoming about himself. but under his acerbic outside is a clever & fierce cat whose determination to survive has helped thorn overcome a lifetime of hardships. once earned, his respect & loyalty are never lost.
history; thorn was born to a rogue father & farm cat mother in a barn on a twoleg farm. he & his siblings grew quickly in their warm, dry shelter where prey hid in the straw-strewn corners. thornβs mother missy had no fear of the twolegs who kept her around but shadow, his father, was a rogue who urged his kits to stay away from twolegs & taught them how to hunt & fight by night. when thorn was almost 8 moons old, a fox crept into the barn to steal chickens & found missy with her kits. Thornβs mother & siblings were killed before shadow appeared and rescued thorn. From then on shadow raised his son to endure the hard life of a rogue: always running from danger or fighting for a place to sleep & prey to eat. thornβs father died in battle a few moons after the younger tom had reached his full growth & heβs been mostly alone since. the talk of leaving the city interests him greatly as he lives in the junkyard, a wretched place not fit for any creature.

personality. meadow is bright & open like her eyes. sheβs friendly & a good listener, quick to tease & tell tales with cats sheβs just met as if they were old friends. despite being playful, meadow is good at reading cats & can be serious when she needs to. it takes a lot to keep her down & she has a strong spirit that never falters as well as strong instincts she knows she cannot ever ignore. she may be small but she has strength of will & character & is a lot smarter than she looks.
history; born in a twoleg nest, meadow always knew she would leave her mother for different housefolk one day. at 4 moons, meadow was the first of her litter to leave & much of her kittenhood is forgotten. she lives in a three-story flat with her twoleg who calls her maisie & often leaves a window near the fire escape open where meadow has the perfect view of the park in twoleg place. for many moons she watched the park & its many cats until she gained the pluck to venture down the fire escape & across a busy thunderpath to explore it. whenever her owner left the window open, meadow visited the park & itβs cats, enjoying their company & the outside world. it wasnβt until she saw one of her friends chase down a squirrel that had broken cover quite close by that she began to grow restless. for moons now meadow has dreamed of hunting in the woods, real woods, & tasting fresh-kill. sheβs heard the rumors of a journey from her park friends & yearns to go, thrilled by the adventure of it all.

being adopted by a lovely french couple in versailles, they named h
im after their favourite weekend trip in toulouse. he grew up in fra
nce for nearly two years until one of his owners got an amazing job
offer in the city near to the residence of where they live now, and s
o they moved. toulouse was of course, at first incredibly anxious m
oving cities, let alone countries as well. the first couple of months w

were incredibly tough for him, with having twice as many cats wan
dering around. at one point he wound up lost after getting spooked
by a large dog for a few days, flyers were sent out by toulouse's fo
lk who missed him dearly and luckily enough he was found by a ver
y kind young man. its been almost a year and a half since that mom
ent and now's there is talk of the cats planning to run into the wild.

things toulouse finds enjoyable are loung
ing in the sun, swimming and watching t
he stars. things he find unenjoyable are t
he incredibly cold weather, getting his fur
messy or unclean and all types of canines.
if we were observing toulouse from a stat
istical point of view, you would see that
he excels at healing, followed by dexteri
ty and momentum. however he does stru
ggle with fortitude and endurance.

s father returning, in which he never did. in the end, an elderly stra
y cat, an adoptive mother, ended up taking krueger under her wing
and rose him up as best as she could. over the years to come, he w
as able to eventually find his footing and grew into the brute you se
e today, proving himself that he's a true survivor in a world so cold.
