Magdelene Furstenfeld was born in Germany in 1598. For 15 years, she lived as a Groรherzogin, a grande duchess and high noble in the eyes of regular Germany. She married at 16 years of age, after falling deeply in love with her soon-to-be sire, Matthรคus Scherzer. Matthรคus was an Erzerzhog, an archduke. Both families were incredibly wealthy, and always lived in the lap of luxury. By 1616, Magdelene had already been turned. Despite living the highest possible life in 17th century Germany, the two had gotten quite bored. In 1619, they had already chartered a ship for the Americas. Magdalene and Matthaus had two children by this time, but by no means were they their biological children. Hanna and Kaspar Furstenfeld-Scherzer were two peasant children that Matthรคus and Magdelene had grown a soft spot for. Both had plans for turning them. They were a family, that was for sure. The Americas would promise more reach for their wealth, a new colony of their own, maybe. This, obviously, would never work out.
In early 1620, the crew of the Amaranthus had caught onto Magdelene and Matthรคusโ abilities. Every month or two, a crewman would disappear. This feeding cycle was slow, both vampires were weak and thirsty nearly all the time. Nevertheless, neither knew how to sail, so they needed most of the crew alive.
One cold January night, Magdelene and Matthรคus decided to do things a bit early. They wanted to give their children an early birthday present, in the form of their first kill. Matthรคus had kidnapped a poor cleaning boy, tied him up in the cabin. It was an ever joyous night! Both children were squirming with excitement, theyโd waited so long to be just like mother and father. Eagerly they took the bite, and even more eager were they to take blood.
Less than a few minutes later, all of that joy had been ripped away from them. Crewmen stormed the cabin, ripping the family away from each other. No manner of fighting, given how weak Matthรคus and Magdelene were, could save them.
Magdelene had to watch as her family was condemned one by one, burned in cooking oil, reduced to ash, as wind swept them off of the deck of the Amaranthus. The captain took pity on our heroine, and had her backed into an empty chest. They chained her in, and threw her overboard. So close to landfall, the chest sunk right down to the outskirts of Devilโs Kettle harbour, where she has lied dormant for two hundred years.

Magdelene stands at a mere 5โ2, and looks more Western European than German. When she was young, there was always speculation of a family affair with the Celtic, as Magdelene is quite pale and redheaded. Sheโs a fair maiden, paler than the moon. Magdelene once had crystal blue eyes, but they now lay a deep ruby red. Living in Germany, she always loved the snow, and winter is her favourite time of the year. Magdelene, however, is not a girl with a heart of ice. She is powerful and temperamental, and grieving her loss from so many years ago. When one comes across Magdelene, they get this feeling ofโฆ emptiness. A calm, like being in the eye of a hurricane. And yet, the next part of the storm is always the worst.
This isnโt all that makes up Maggy. Aside from her anger and loss, sheโs always been a soft person. A shoulder to lean on for whoever needed it. One too many times she was caught taking the words of kitchen servantsโ stresses. She had actually convinced her husband to take in their two little orphan children, after riding around and seeing them quite lost one day. Never had she felt so much love for something.
Magdelene is now being forced out of her position of power. She is a noble, and now she must live in the world of regular citizens. Not only that, but this technology all seems like witchcraft. And she will be hunting that way. No longer is she living in the dark, but a world of electricity. Would she be pleased with it, or will the transition take more of a toll on her than expected?

Maggy once lost control after fighting with her husband. It was June, and as a door was slammed in her face, a storm had brewed up outside. In an instant, June had become December, and it was snowing! Needless to say, this was quite a surprise in East Germany, where June was the hottest summer month and temperatures were in sweltering third-digits. The same could very well happen in Washington. And given Magdelene is in a vulnerable emotional state, you very well may find it snowing in August. Or, a typhoon could travel up the coast, and there are rumors of a system developing dangerously close to California.
