Rome started off, trying to stay optimistic as he felt the fine leaves-- or were they bristles? spines? he didn't know-- of the hedges gently scraping his hooves. Was this place creepy, or was it just him? It felt so still and so quiet-- that he just didn't know whether it was his mind playing tricks on him, or whether it was really that completely quiet and still in the maze.
