Ajax is naturally reclusive and thrives on his own, though the
lifestyle is one he lives purely as a result of his overwhelming
caution and gripping paranoia. He guards his own with a hostility
unmatched by most wild animals and will lash out without exception
against those he perceives as a threat. Whether or not he is
naturally this aggressive or if this manor is result of some underlying
reason is yet to be known, but there is one very special exception
to this angry dogs outlook on life.
Cassia is his best friend, and the dog that he grew up with in his old
home out in the country side. She is his light, and his happiness, and
the two are damn well near inseparable. He would give his life to
make sure she was safe, and his devotion is repaid in a sister, and
a guaranteed relief from his fortress of solitude.
Their relationship is a special one, while not related by blood, they
are very much brother and sister. While the deaf dog remains
unreceiving of any words he could possibly have for her, they both
seem capable of completely normal conversation and communication.
Through this fondness they have for each other, Ajax has managed to
blossom in a way that would seem impossible to those who do not
get to know him intimately. Beneath all the grit, teeth, and angry
glaring, there is a male that is brave, loyal and resourceful, and
ready to protect those who need it.

If Ajax were the brittle thorns, Cassia would certainly be the
blooming rose at the end of the stem. She is very naturally charismatic and
compelling in her mannerisms, and in her happy nature manages to find a
way to bring dogs together. Though she devotes too much energy to being
happy and making those around her happy, she seems to manage well
considering she has only ever known Ajax her whole life. He is a constant
that she can please without being asked for more than she is capable of
giving.

The spotted dog is lean and all leg, with a deep set chest and smooth
top line. Her pelt is flecked in liver spots, and her eyes are a bright
tantalizing blue. While this gaze is perceptive and observing, she hears
none of the activity around her, thus leaving her with an expression of
constant alertness more often than not. Her deafness is an obstacle,
but not one she never adapted to living with. Ajax is her alert system,
she watches him for cues and reads his body language, and they both
seem to be capable of seamlessly communicating among each other.
She is not very good at it, because Jax isn't a social butterfly like she is
but she has picked up on reading lips and responding in turn.
She is eager to find new ways to make communication easier, and though
her spoken word is often not to par with hearing dogs, she very shamelessly
practices in hopes that communication will one day become easier.
