I'm not sure why it was added but seeing the large red lock that isn't removable is really disheartening and frustrating to a lot of people, especially independent artists and adoptables. Even if a topic is locked for one reason or another I don't believe it's fair to make the art underneath completely obscured and unviewable except in the case of art theft. If not removed entirely maybe moving it to a smaller corner of the drawing to still indicate that the drawing is locked but I don't believe it is necessary to have it formatted as it for its purpose.

Agree. I don’t know why, but the red lock makes me feel disheartened, even if I was the one to ask for the post to be lock

Kind of support? I think that the red lock should still be added to art theft and rulebreaking content since nobody should be seeing that, but I agree that it shoud be replaced by a small lock in the corner if the thread was locked for other reasons (like the artist asked mods to lock it or if there was a fight in the comments)

If there's a way to have more than one kind of "lock" then this would be nice!

support!! the only thing I can think of that justifies a big red lock on a drawing is if the art is seriously rule breaking or showing nudity or something equally inappropriate, but art like that is usually deleted straight away, so there's really no need for the lock on the drawing imo
