Alex and Apollo came to the last jump. Her heart pounded in her chest. She held her breath as they proceeded towards it.

Julia smiled "go Alex come on!" Ace snorted looking at Lark "you'll do great love" he said proudly

Alex went into the Jumping position for the last time and she closed her eyes. She held on tight ad Apollo jumped over, rubbing it but not making it fall. They landed cleanly and she lopped him around the ring once more, a big grin on her face. She exited and was proud of her clean round. She gave a sigh of relaid as she came back to her side's waiting place. She smiled at Julia "I did it!" she said.

Apollo snorted, throwing his head, totally proud of himself and Alex.

Lark nodded "I hope so." she said, flicking her tail.

Julia smiled "yes you did! Great Work " she pat Aces neck as Steph was called to the arena along with Seth and Thinner for barrel racing

Alex slid off of Apollo's back and patted her Friesian's neck and smiled. She kissed his nose and ran a hand through his forelock. She looked at Julia "thanks." she said. "you did great aswell."

A girl from the rival group looked at the Friesian "he's pretty good." she said to herself. She was also a jumper and needed a new horse. She slid down off her horse's back and tied hinmtothe fence. She walked over to Alex and Apollo "you did very well." she said, fakely, with a fake smile.

Alex looked at her "ummm thanks." she replied, still stroking Apollo. She moved him away from the girl so he wouldn't kick her "I'd be careful.... He kicks strangers." she added.

Apollo laid his ears back as Jay's girl came over. He raised a hoof but moved when Alex told him. He pinned his ears to his head:

Several other of Jays riders went some succeed some failed over all Julias team was winning Ace watched Salem and Delia snorting and pawing the ground as several riders came overtryingto pet Lark he lunged at them angrily Julia soon pulling them both away just as It was Larks turn to compete

Lark flicked her tail and snorted, raising her back hoof, ready to kick someone "why must you all touch me?" she snapped at one of them "leave me alone." she said as she was pulled away.

Alex looked at the girl.

Allyson, Jay's rider looked at her hack "I was wondering If he was for sale?" she said.
Alex stopped her right their "no, absolutely not. He is not for sale." she said.Allyson looked at her "I'll give you a great price and we can neogotciate?" she said offering yer opinion. Alex looked at her "I said no. And that's that." she said harshly "now I suggest you march yourself back over to Hay's side and stay there." she said rudely.Allyson rolled her eyes, "what ever." she said as she walked back over to her own side.

Apollo snorted and lunged at Allyson. He snorted "rotten flea, go away!" he spat.

Julia rolled her eyes and looked at Alex "don't let her bother you Alex she does that to riders every year thinking that just if the horse is good it will help her win, she doesn't know a thing about riding"
Ace snorted at Allyson as Jay seemed to be unaware of the spat he then nuzzled Lark "good luck love" Julia led the paint away into the arena as the crowd went silent she presented Lark before them and how trained she was by first dropping the lead and walking away from her

Alex glared at Allyson. She blew through her nose and clenched her jaw.

Allyson whispered to one of her friends "yeah... She's the girl with the Rottweiler." she rolled her eyes "I'm surprised the mutt hasn't bitten her yet." she added. She mounted hack up and watched Julia with Lark:
