I'll take the chance and roll the dice
Cloudybloom and Riverflash are a match made in Starclan but not because the pair is particularly lovey. In fact, watching the two you'd probably never guess they're mates at all. The two shared a very specific view of how kits should be raised however -- namely, from the moment their eyes open, they should be preparing for their apprenticeship. They've since mellowed, but Fogkit and Mistkit, as their first litter, faced the full brunt of this mindset. While other kits were playing the two of them were sitting still being lectured by their mother on proper hunting crouches or techniques, or their father was making them attempt fighting forms that their uncoordinated little bodies simply weren't reasonably able to perform yet. This had an even worse effect of Mistkit than it did on Fogkit, Mistkit being smaller, weaker, not quite as cunning. She always fell short of their parents expectations.
By the time they finally reached their true apprenticeships, Mistpaw was so desperate for their approval that when news of a fox near the territory was heard she immediately decided to try and chase it off herself. Fogpaw, deciding that it was her job to help and protect her sister, followed her. The result was Fogpaw almost losing an eye and being stuck in the medicine cat's den for long enough to extend her apprenticeship for a good few moons due to an injured back leg, and Mistpaw's death.
Just wanna feel the stars surround the atmosphere
Never to come down
When her parents asked what, exactly, they thought they were doing facing that fox alone, Fogpaw snapped. She told them exactly what Mistpaw had been thinking before her death. That they didn't love her, that they preferred Fogpaw, that she had to do something big to prove herself, and quickly. She screamed at them loudly enough for the entire clan to hear, and then she simply... shut down.
When she finally was cleared the leave the medicine cat's den and return to her apprenticeship, it was almost like nothing had ever happened. She never spoke of what had happened, or of Mistpaw, and the only outward sign that anything had changed was that she refused to even acknowledge her parents. Or, later, their second litter -- her younger siblings.
I'll stand alone, whether right or wrong
It takes me home right where I belong
Fogdrift was raised to believe she would be the best, and on some level she does believe that. She's intelligent and cunning, but she's lacking the drive that would make her parent's old fantasy a reality. Instead her attention is focused on the idea of just having a bit of fun. She likes things that are exciting and is always willing to relax with her clanmates. Bright and easy-going, she's not hard to get along with generally. If she sees someone that needs help, she generally lend a paw -- but once she's told to do something, Fogdrift tends to be a bit... rebellious. She may be loyal to the clan but she dislikes being directly ordered to do things and tends to dig her claws in when she is. It simply reminds her too much of her parents when she was a kit.
She doesn't shy away from the more flirty members of the clan, and will always meet their comments with her own almost like a game. Despite this, Fogdrift has never once shown interest in actually having a mate and on more than one occasion has shown active disgust in the concept of having kits -- though she absolutely adores kits that are not related to her by blood. It's not uncommon to find her sprawled outside the nursery playing one game or another with them.
Back down -- Only one way out
I let you run my life, now you won't get me down
A sleek, silvery tabby, Fogdrift is small and slim. She's quick on her paws but not very strong in a direct fight. Her eyes are a bright blue, and there are three short parallel scars over the left. She has a slight limp, favoring her back left leg, but while noticeable it doesn't slow her down often. It doesn't generally hurt her at all, but when it's particularly stormy she may be a bit slower.
Untamed, guess I lost my mind
You turned me inside out, no one can stop me now
Fogdrift has the ability to create mirages, tricking cats and prey into seeing something in the distance that isn't really there. She can't directly control what is seen but she is able to influence it -- if she needs to draw someone somewhere, she can make sure they see something pleasant, or terrifying if she needs to chase someone away. She can't see what her victims see though, so she never has any clue what they find so scary or alluring.
Cause the time keeps turning, feels just like it speeds up
It's what I've waited for
