"Hold on, lean on me." She walked through the trees and supported Dogpaw. The Clan had developed a way of communicating with him. One tap on the ground meant yes, two meant no. They limped back to camp slowly and when they got there, Lynxstar picked out a chipmunk, Dogpaw's favorite, and watched him eat it. She was so glad that she went on the patrol.

Distantgaze crouched and crept forward, lessening the distance between her and the squirrel. She was so focused, she didn't see the twig in front of her and stepped on the twig, snapping it, and therefore losing the squirrel. "Eagle droppings!" She snarled as she stood up. She sighed and sat down, admiring the clearing she was in. She sighed wistfully, remembering her mother, Rabbitleap, and the days they had spent together after her father had taken her littermate, Lynxkit, with him. She curled her tail around her paws, looking up, and wondered where Lynxkit was now. She sighed, reminiscing in her memories. Memories of Lynxkit swirled in her head. Lynxkit tackling her, Lynxkit swatting her.... then one last painful memory... Lynxkit yowling "No!" as Distantgaze's father carried Lynxkit away. Distantgaze sighed and padded back to camp.

Distantgaze padded out of the warriors den, looking around the hollow and sighing. I might as well check out the Sheer Cliffs. Just a smal peek... Distantgaze thought to herself as she padded away.

Distantgaze looked up at the Sheer Cliff and mutters "I... I know they say not to... but maybe I should climb it... they're probably just trying to keep me from finding some amazing secret..." She began to try and climb the Sheer Cliffs, her tabby tortoiseshell pelt standing out against the snow.

"I'm going to hunt at the sheer cliffs." Without looking back, Fogpaw padded towards the grey, smooth stone. Spotting a vole, she pounced and snapped its neck. She buried it and kept walking. Coming to the cliffs, she saw Distantgaze jump onto the summit. "Distantgaze! What are you doing!" She cried out fearfully, "You could die!"

"Go see if you can find anymore cats." Lynxstar ordered Ripplehawk, who had just sat down to eat a mouse. He stood up, yawned, and padded silently out of camp. He stopped at the Avalanche Paths and trekked down until he reached Bearplace. He spotted Mooneye, the Medicine Cat of his clan, just before he spotted the bear cub wobbling towards her. Quickly, he darted and grabbed her by the scruff. Finally in safety, he got a mouse and nudged it towards her.
