Sandkit never left Stormkit’s side. She said she would be there for her and she meant it. “You don’t have to do anything you don’t want to.” She mewed softly while giving Stormkit a comforting lick on her head.

Fern ate her mouse, knowing she would need her strength if she was going to learn to fight. Sure she probably couldn’t do much to Skarr now. But she would try her best in fighting. She had wanted to learn to fight ever since Slash attacked the clan. Knowing he’d probably return in the future it wouldn’t hurt to learn to fight a few moons early. “Okay I’m ready.” She said. Determination showing in her tone and expression.

He nodded. "Since Im assuming you dont know any moves quite yet, Ill teach you a few today. Heres one;"

He turned to air. "Lets pretend this is a cat around my size, mkay?" he crouched, then leaped, acting as if sinking teeth into a cats throat. He turned to Fern. "Firstly, attack by inserting fangs into throat." He turned again, then slid on his back forward, slicing his fore and hindpaws in the air. Then he stood. "Release, and slide underneath there underbelly. There throat and stomach are now heavily bleeding while you remain unscathed. Only pull the move once in a battle, so think wisely about which cat your going to attack or when your going to attack."

Fern who would normally do as instructed knew that clan cats didn’t learn to fight like this. “This isn’t how Apprentices in the clan train. I’ve seen how it’s done. Your not suppose to go for the throat on a clan cat.” Fern said, sounding a bit unsure.

His ears flicked. "As long as you don't kill them, its fine. In training you don't pierce skin anyways." He replied. "The jugular or windpipe, a part of the throat that holds life, is the thing that will kill them if broken or pierced. As long as you don't crack or crush those, your fine. Besides, if you want you can leave out the throat and go for the chest instead."
