where does your pride's name come from? (A5)
It comes from my username, actually, at least a little. Also the fact they are mostly lions that will be in this pride. I like to think they'll all be spirited, too, so it works. Hedron is most certainly spirited. Anyhow, that is where the name comes from, it is.

I 03: Write this character's backstory, how they came to join the territory (or if they were born into it) how their childhood made them who they are
Minimum requirement: 150 words
Awards: 1 white feather
Hedron was actually born near the territory but not actually in the territory. He was born in a smaller territory nearby, and had a mother and father of course. He may or may not have siblings out there somewhere. Considering lions normally have more than one cub, it's highly likely he does though. Anyhow, he was born and raised in that nearby territory. He was taught to hunt, as he wouldn't become an adult and automatically have lionesses. He was taught values and discipline. His personality traits of course come from both parents. He grew healthy and strong, with good values and discipline. He was taught to concede when it turned out he was wrong, and to apologize if need be. All this makes him who he is today. He was also taught to be loving and caring towards females and cubs.
He then struck out on his own, to get his own territory so he might start a pride of his own. He walked a couple days or so, until he reached this territory. No lions or hyenas seemed to be living in it. Therefore, he went about doing things to mark it as his, and so it was his. Another lion and lioness did try and take it from him once...He managed to keep them away, however, and so the territory was still his.

I 04: Explain this character's role in their group or home. How do they contribute (or not contribute?)
Minimum requirement: 150 words
Awards: 1 white feather
Hedron is the leader of the Spirited Lions pride, of course, and therefore that is his role within the pride; to be the leader and direct the others. Of course, he is the only right now, but he and a lioness of another pride are expecting some little ones, so he'll have more pride members soon. Seeing as he is the only one so far, it can't really be called contributing, but he has to feed himself and get water, and defend his territory. He does all these things well, though could probably use a bit more practice at the hunting thing. He doesn't always manage to get the prey he's after, and so sometimes he has to switch targets and set his sights on old or baby animals. He's great at getting water, which isn't all that hard anyway since there's water in the territory and only prey animals drinking it. Sometimes he can take down a prey animal when they're drinking, too.
