when earth’s resources finally ran dry, the human race turned to space. an entire globe focused its efforts on the possibility of something else being out there. and to the relief of billions, there was. after nearly a century of probing the depths of space, explorers had discovered three earth-like planets capable of sustaining life. but before any of them could be surveyed, earth entered extinction.

during earth's last days, three colony ships called ARKs were built. when they launched, each carried a silo containing samples of earth’s flora & fauna, teams of specialists & their equipment, a small group of colonizers selected lottery-style, and mankind’s last hopes.

you are aboard ARK #3 and have just been woken from hyper-sleep in the middle of deep space. your ship has safely voyaged to a little known part of the universe, now one of the last 3 civilizations of man left. on the radar looms your only salvation: Terra LV8. early readings confirm a breathable atmosphere, bodies of water, and the presence of the necessary elements needed to sustain plant-life in the surface layers of planet material. it's everything humankind could’ve ever hoped for.

or is it? in our desperation to find a new home, we never considered if we would be entering someone else’s. we didn't think to ask who else might already be out there. we didn’t question if this chance at survival was really a one-way ticket to hell.

this is a sci-fi survival horror roleplay based on the colonization of a new alien planet. you play one of the members of a colonist expedition that goes horribly wrong. in essence, your character must help to establish a safe human outpost or face extinction. no one knows for sure what dangers might exist in an alien world but you can expect adversity in the form of: bizarre weather conditions, hostile lifeforms or environments, alien pathogens, so on & so forth. roleplay will be heavily dependent on high-lit member participation.

one. high lit roleplay; 300 words required per post

two. 1 reply a week pls; absences with a heads-up are fine; inactive charries will be killed off

three. roles are limited to 8 spots; pm all forms for approval; reservations last 48 hours; 2 charrie limit

four. being an unexplored alien planet, anything is possible on Terra LV8! please run anything major by me & anyone else involved first but if you have big ideas don’t be shy! I encourage any madness y’all can think up.
