The current season is leaf-fall! You can tell because the leaves are changing colors, and it's starting to get chilly! Because of the chill it's a little easier for cats to fall ill, and births will become a little more difficult. You'll also find less prey and new cats on patrols, as they're focusing on finding a place to keep warm for the upcoming leafbare season.

✧ While on patrol, Peuwobble and his Clanmates came across a massive, hungry badger. They attempted to fight it off, but ended up needing help from Noisetteblossom's patrol, who heard the screaming. Together the two patrols were able to drive away the badger, but the following injuries were sustained: Suiecloud and Tachesplotch need x1 moon of rest.
✧ Noisetteblossom's patrol heard the panicked wails of Peuwobble's patrol and hurried over to assist. Noisetteblossom reached the scene first and saw that the badger had Suiecloud and Tachesplotch in its claws- she bravely launched herself at the creature, and forced it to let them go. Unfortunately, by the time the others caught up, the furious badger had flung Noisetteblossom against a nearby boulder, snapping her spine and killing her instantly. Her Clanmates, enraged by the death of their friend, joined together to drive the badger away, but the following injuries were sustained: Edelweißdrop needs x1 cobweb, Foudrewhisker needs x1 cobweb and x1 sweet sedge, and Ciguëblizzard needs x2 goldenrod.

Troutstar looked down at his catch; two dull-colored goldfish and a bass. That could feed him for a long time...and he didn't want to risk the fish he had caught now to slip into the river. He picked the small goldfish up in his mouth, then used a paw to adjust the bass to make sure it didn't slip. He jumped across to the first rock, then landed on the bank. Using a paw he dug a swift hole, and dropped the two fish inside it to make sure they didn't slip off the slightly sandy grass. He jumped back, snatched the Bass in his mouth, and jumped back to grab the two fish under his chin. This time if they fell he could gather them up again, though he couldn't if they fell into the river. He padded back to his camp, stopping beside the entrance to pick up the goldfish that had slipped.

Hare trotted through the field, cocking his head as he surveyed the bright and clear area. His tail waved slightly as he walked, his tail fidgeting in excitement. He was full; having been a decent hunter. His fighting skills weren't that bad either. He crouched as he sniffed cat scent, following it. He spotted a hole and sniffed the rim. It seemed safe, a cats tracks came in and out of it. So if it was a dead-end, he could back up. He skidded through it, scoffing. He landed in a sandy pit, looking up. Cat scent again. He cocked his head as a leaf fell onto his nose. Obviously leaf-fall was starting. He frowned, uncocking his head and padding around to survey the area.

Troutstar skidded into the hole, knowing it would become stiffer with time and paw prints would be able to be gripped. He stopped when he scented a cat; a male. He flicked his tail as he entered his camp, looking around. He spotted Hare. Sighing, he turned to the fresh-kill pile and dropped off the three fish. He then turned back, and meowed, "Excuse me?" The tom turned, ears flicking up. "Oh, hello." he replied casually. Troutstar frowned, padding up to him. "What're you doing here?" Hare flicked his tail. "Investigating. My names Hare, by the way." The tom meowed. "Troutstar." he replied simply, sniffing Hare. "Interested in joining?" Troutstar inquired out of nowhere. "Join..what?" Hare questioned, flicking his ears in question. "My clan. Well not a clan yet. But I need more cats to make one." he replied. "Uh..fine I guess. It could be an adventure." Hare replied. "Great! Now..to become a clan cat you must know how to hunt and battle. Im assuming you do?" Hare nodded.

As the leaves began to fall, Troutstar walked alongside Harespring, patrolling the borders. Harespring striked up a conversation. "So...what do you normally do in a clan? I know ive been here for a good while, but I'm not there there yet, you know?" Troutstar nodded. "Well, until we get more members, we don't know. Personally, I feel its all about teamwork. If you don't work with the clan, you get kicked out, simply because you aren't providing. Though obviously if you're too young, too old, sick, or expecting, that's something different." Harespring nodded as they continued.

The Crew is a collection of cats from all over the world, brought together by Captain Obed Goldmarsh, the pet of a fishing boat owner. The fisherman owns a large vessel that he and Obed call home, along with other members of the fishing crew. This vessel has quite a bit of storage space for large fishing hauls, and it is here in the hidden caverns that Obed’s own crew calls home.

Each time the Cat’s Fancy docks to sell its wares, Captain Goldmarsh is allowed to roam the nearby boardwalk or city, and often sneaks some adventurous feline back to her ship for some promised shenanigans on the high seas!

The cats of the Crew are known to scavenge for fish and table scraps whilst out at sea. Sometimes, when the humans are asleep, the cats of the Crew like to prey upon the less intelligent birds that land on deck and take it back to their hidey-holes.

While docked, the Crew is oft to hunt in the neighboring city, preying upon rats and birds and anything else they could get their paws on. They usually bring these things back to the ship to share with their crewmates.

While at sea, the cats of the Crew obviously cannot hunt freely or patrol or take in new cats. Luckily enough for them, they are only at sea for about a month at a time (1 post in CAC-terms). The Cat’s Fancy docks for three months (3 posts) at a time, so the Crew has time to stock up food, herbs, and passengers before their next voyage.

Dockings can happen at any coastal port, and I will always give a short description of the port so my moderator can better respond to the post. I will always keep the same prey list (city rats, fish, birds) for ease of response.

[x0]Catchweed/Catchweed Bedstraw/Catchweed Burs | The burrs are put on the pelt where poultices are. Stops poultices from being rubbed off without hurting the skin.

[x2]Fennel | Stalks are broken and juice is squeezed into the receiver's mouth. Helps pain in the hips.

[x0]Goatweed | Unknown Eases grief.
[x0]Goldenrod | Chewed into a poultice. Good for healing wounds.
[x1]Hawkweed | Unknown Like Catmint/Catnip but not as strong.
[x0]Heather Nectar | Included in herbal mixtures. Makes swallowing easier and sweetens mixtures.
[x1]Honey | Eaten, or given by moss soaked in it. Soothes infections, is a great remedy for smoke-damaged or sore throats, helps cats swallow other concoctions, helps soothe coughing, and gives energy.
[x0]Horsetail | Chewed to a poultice, and applied to wounds. Treats infections and stops bleeding.

[x1]Parsley | Eaten Stops a queen from producing milk if her kits die, don't need milk anymore, or are producing too much milk. Also used to cure bellyache.
[x0]Poppy Seeds | Chewed on. They can help a cat sleep, soothe shock or distress, or ease pain. Not recommended for nursing queens.
[x0]Ragwort Leaves | Crushed and chewed; mixed with juniper berries, it can help aching joints. Treats aching joints and keeps a cat's strength up.
[x0]Ragwort | Thought to give cats extra strength. Like lamb's ear, ragwort gives a cat extra strength and energy.
[x1]Raspberry Leaves | It could be a painkiller, or help stop bleeding during kitting. Could possibly ease pain, or stop bleeding.
[x0]Rosemary | Put on the pelt of a dead cat to prepare for burial. Hides the scent of death.
[x0]Rush | Used to bind broken bones. Helps hold a broken limb in place, such as casts for Twolegs.
[x0]Snakeroot | Thought to be applied to wounds. Thought to heal poison, especially snake bites.
[x0]Sorrel | Eaten Traveling herb, can also build up appetite.
[x3]Stick | Cats in pain bite it when other medicine is either unavailable or not recommended. Also used to help broken legs heal. Distracts cats from pain. Recommended for queens giving birth.
[x1]Stinging Nettle | The seeds are eaten by a cat who's swallowed poison, or the leaves are chewed into a poultice for a wound. The stems can also be chewed. Induces vomiting, or brings down swelling, respectively. Can be mixed with comfrey to help heal broken bones. Helps with wounds. Chewing the stems helps fight against infection.
[x0]Sweet-Sedge | One must swallow the sap. Eases infection.
[x1]Tansy | To be consumed, but only in small doses. Cures coughs. Can be used to cure wounds and poisons. Stops cats from getting greencough. Soothes throats. Can be extremely dangerous to pregnant cats.

Clan Tradition:
When an apprentice is ready to become a warrior, they shall go on a week long quest into the Two-Leg territory on the western boarder, where they will look for a monkey by the name of Fitzgerald, and he will make their new clan collar for them. If they succeed then they shall be welcomed back to the clan as a full warrior, if they do not then they will have to train for an additional moon before they are able to try again. If they fail a second time, they are banished from the clan for weakness and a disrespect for clan tradition and law.
