The scales make me think dragon more than I was thinking mermaid. Wasnt someone accused of designing a dragon dog?

Dragons usually have tails though. I guess it could grow one?

Of the growths we currently have, this one reminds me most of a dragon.

part of my wants to guess that this pup is a platypus...
the earlessness, the tail, the beak..... now if you'll excuse me, im gonna do a deep dive and see if anyones hints point towards that solution-

a newer artist, hello there, i like your icon, its very blue, congrats on the first staff litter, i hope you have fun teasing us with hints,
the first thing that really got me thinking was the "egg-citing" hint, after all, platypi lay eggs
HOWEVER i could not simply look at that one hint and go "seems legit", no, i had to DEEP DIVE.
i have looked over pets you have done in the past (ones with edits, of course) and noted that the eye style seems very similar.
the whole "bheaf0a0a" i am thinking about, not sure if i can conclude what it means just yet... will have to decode that.

intrestingly, you seem to be buying up a bunch of what i have dubbed the 'sun panda' pups from this litter, you say that's because you're missing that one, but at 2c$ a pop, and buying way more then 1, thats a bit fishy, dont you think? well i checked your lovely little collection of pets, and what did i see? what pet were you TRULY missing? none other then our little platypus friend! it was a decoy all along!

and so, in conclusion, i think, as of right now, this pup is YOURS

f0a0a is a navy blue, the same colour as the dog!

Grass / Flying, for sure! Grass / Dark would be a close second. But she would definitely be some sort of Flying-type.

This one really seems to fit grass/flying with that little plant on the back :)
