Ice covered the river. Ice just thick enough to walk on, to skate on. Daring couples spun in the moonlight, one girl sat on the riverbank, watching the fun. In her hand was the thing she had picked up, as it caught the golden moonlight in the snow. It was a ring, just a ring from a little quarter machine. Simple, unembellished, save for a little Celtic carving on the flat wide band. Just a ring.
Her eyes returned to the scene before her. A new couple had come as she had inspected it. A new couple, and the girl also had a ring. Just a ring, but this with a diamond, and this a symbol of love. Together, and with that ring, they looked so happy, as if they would never be parted. Just a ring, so worthless, yet so meaningful.
The girl looked at hers again. It was obviously a man’s ring. On her thumb it was too small, just on her pointer finger did it fit. Just a ring, just a symbol. A symbol of what they had, that she never would. She slid it on her finger with a promise, and sealed it, not with a kiss, but with a tear. Just one tear.
It's not a couple, and it doesn't make sense...so shoot me.

Based on my current love life

Should I write a story?

Feather, representing me

Forrest, representing my Crush 1, Donald (not real name)

Cream, representing my Crush 2, Johann (Again, name is fake)

Blood, representing my maybe-crush Joe (Don't know yet! :S Not real name)

Star, representing my maybe-crush's girlfriend, Naomi (Name is fake)

I have decided that I no longer want to be on Chicken Smoothie. I have become too infatuated with the site.
No, I am not giving away free pets; they will all go to the Pound or to good CS friends of mine.
Bye, CS!

When I was your size, my grandfather gave me a truck I could fit in my pocket.
I carried that thing everywhere. I didn't think I could love anything as much as I loved that truck.
But when he passed away, I placed it right there next to him.
Sometimes life just seems like chapters of goodbye.
Are you ready?
What's it like?
There's no more goodbyes.

Zaziran{m} xXx Mechtain{m}
Zaziran chuckled, nosing his partner's plushy white shoulder fur. "Have you ever looked back on life and just wondered how you got to where you are now?"
Mechtain shifted his multi-color eyes over to the handsome Zaziran. He smiled. "I did. When I met you." he replied affectionately.
Zaziran nodded with a smile. "Have you ever felt awed about how life can turn from horrible to perfect in seconds?"
Once again, the silvery multi-colored wolf nodded. "Of course. Do you recall when you saved me from that fire when we first met?"
The dusty brownish male sighed contently. "Now wasn't that just a great day? Not the fire, but the rest of it. You were on the brink of death, my dear." he murmured.
Mechtain pushed Zazi's head up, pushing his head underneath that of his lover. "An amazing day. I thought it was the best day of my life. Who knew that there'd be so many amazing days to follow? All thanks to you, my savior." he purred lovingly.
Zaziran closed his eyes, resting his paw on Mech's. "Love you," he murmured. "More than I even understand.
Mechtain smiled happily, turning his paw over so that their pawpads met. "Love you, too. More than I have ever felt in my life. You've given me everything I need, Zazi."
"All I need is you, Mech."
"Back to you, my love."
It's sometimes so hard to find beauty in the world, unless you have someone who loves you.

May [♀] --- Diachronikó [○]
She sliced the soft, earthy dirt open with the green-handled shovel. The blistering heat was already getting to the petite girl; she swiped the back of her hand across her forehead. Her eyes spread around the patio, only to see all of the things she had to do. There was a small cherry blossom tree to be planted, along with dozens of flowers. Wonderful.
But she knew the finished product would certainly be a great one.
May's shovel continued to dig, her arm growing tired and sweaty.
"This tree might be a bigger pain than anticipated," she said, chuckling a bit.
She rose, stepping over to the garage. "I have got to find my big shovel..."
May's feet dragged her to the fareast corner, away from the lonely car. The rough hands of hers shuffled and shifted items, until she raised her arm victoriously. "Wala!" Her soft voice chimed, also allowing giggles to escape.
Soon she was back at her post, slamming the shovel into the dirt with her foot. "So much better!" May kept going, increasing productivity ten fold. The brunette's ponytail bobbed as she bopped her head, listening to the soft radio music.
C-Clunk!
May's head shifted to the side, eyes narrow. Her knees brought her down, and her head dropped down. What was that? It seemed that a stony, gray eye was looking straight at her, probably thinking the same thing.
It blinked, she jumped.
"W-What are you?"
Only muffled noises returned from the dirt; quickly she equipped the shovel and went hard at work. Moments ticked by before she could uncover the whole face. Her mouth hung open at the statue's features: it was perfect. Aside from a few--err--minor cracks.
"Thank chu very mach for uncavering meh."
May's eyebrows cinched together. "What?" She laughed. "Wait, here... Let me help you." May extended a hand, reaching down to clear rubble from it's mouth.
"Thank you very much for that as well, Miss."
"Only my pleasure, S-Sir? M-Mam...?"
It coughed--or, that's what it seemed like. "It..."
"Could I have your name? Mine is May."
"Nice to meet you, May. I'm Diachronikó."
May's body shifted; she just looked at the face sunken in the dirt.
"But you may call me Dia."

Sani [♀] & Maxim [♂]The war-plagued ship groaned as it steamed its way through the ocean, almost as if it too was crying for those now lost.
The girl stood at the stern, staring out at the sea. There was a longing in her eyes, a longing for things to go back to the way they were, back to a time not long ago, once taken for granted.
'What do you say we blow this joint?'
A startled laugh burst from her lips as she looked over, meeting the slightly mischievous eyes of the previously unnoticed young man standing beside her.
'Maybe you haven't noticed, but we're kind of in the middle of the ocean right now...'
He shrugged, eyes sparkling. 'We could always swim back.'
She rolled her eyes, gazing back out to the sea. 'The whole reason we're here is to get away from the war. And you want to swim back?
He grimaced, running his hand through his hair sheepishly. She shook her head, spinning around to face the deck. 'I know what you mean, I guess,' she murmured, leaning back over the rail.
He looked at her, eyes puzzled.
She smiled sadly, turning back around to lean on the rail. 'All I want is to go back.'
A hand thrust out, pausing inches from her face. Waiting.
'M' name's Maxim.'
She slid her own hand into his, smile still pulling on her lips.
'Sani.'
.to be Continued.

.And the walls kept tumbling down
In the city that we love
Great clouds roll over the hills
Bringing darkness from above
Oh where do we begin?
The rubble or our sins?
How am I gonna be an optimist about this?.

{{ D.eath of my childhood }}
You never really know what it's like to lose someone you love until it actually happens to you.
I lost my mom to cancer when I was 10 years old and at the moment she died, I also lost my childhood. I lost the chance to ever really be young and carefree and not have a problem in the world.
When someone who plays such a major part in your life passes away, you lose every chance at ever being completely happy. Because no matter how happy you may think you feel, their loss will always be at the back of your mind and in the middle of your heart, creating a hole that can never be filled.
The day she died, I was sitting in math class wishing to be anywhere else but there. Well, I got my wish.
My teacher reached for the telephone as it rang and her face grew into first a shocked expression, then just incredibly...incredibly sad. She quietly put down the phone and called my name.
"Bella? Would you mind joining me in the hall?" she asked. I stood up and nodded, not minding at all. Anything to get out of doing my work.
"Bella, your father is waiting for you in the office. He has...he has some news to share with you." my teacher said as I began to grow nervous, a giant knot forming in my stomach. I nodded again and began the long walk from the third floor down to the office. I imagined all sorts of tragic things that could have happened, but the news I was about to receive had never even crossed my mind and little did I know that my life was about to change forever in the worst way possible.
"Daddy? What's wrong? Why are you here?" I asked him as soon as I reached the office.
He looked up and the knot in my stomach tightened as I studied his red-rimmed eyes, full of tears. He gently sat me down next to him and took my small hand in his.
"Belles...I'm so sorry...your mother passed away this morning."
My blood turned to ice and my entire body froze and went rigid with shock. For what seemed like an eternity, my mind went black and I closed my eyes as his words repeated themselves to me over and over again. Suddenly, like a tidal wave, the reality of those words hit me and I collapsed against my father in grief as I sobbed and sobbed until both my throat and eyes burned and I had no more tears to cry.
