Troutstar leaped down from a small hole in the wall of his new camp. He had decided that he would take in cats that had a fighting spirit, teach them the ways of how Venusclan worked, and eventually become a clan to dominate the land. For now though, only he was in the vacant camp. It was kinda sad, how lonely it was. But that didn't matter, right? He could stalk up the fresh-kill pile with that river that lay close by...

✑nothin much, i hope everyone is doing well.

➣ Snowfinch had gone out alone that day to collect herbs. She left Copperpaw to sort herbs on his own as she trusted him with that job. As her trip went on, she began to feel a slight wave of worry wash over her. Was it really a smart idea to go out alone? After all, she was albino, leaving her with extremely poor eyesight. While the molly was still able to see somethings, it wasn't enough to protect her well if she was in danger. The fur along her spine began to bristle in fear as she could no longer scent the comforting scent of her clan.

"Oh dear," She muttered nervously under her breath.

The white she-cat began to anxiously whip her head around, hoping for something familiar to pop up. In her slight panic, she felt herself slam into something. The molly heard a soft grunt and she was overwhelmed by an unfamiliar scent. Snowfinch let out a yelp and began to back up in fear.

"Woah- are you okay?" Came a new voice.

"Please don't hurt me!" Snowfinch gasped, shaking.

"I'm not going to hurt you, I promise," The voice reassured her.

The medicine cat let her fur lay down a bit, but she was still on guard and still shaking. She pinpointed the shape of the stranger and looked directly at them, her round ears flattened against her head.

"Wh-Who are you?" Snowfinch asked, trying her best to keep her voice clear.

"I'm Oceangaze from Islandclan," He said, introducing himself.

"What are you doing here?" The molly asked cautiously.

"I feel like I should be asking you the same," Oceangaze chuckled. "Are you alright? You bumped into me quite hard."

"I-I'm fine, thank you for asking," She responded quickly, trying to smooth down her fur with a few short licks. "I really don't like repeating myself. What are you doing here?"

"Walking," Oceangaze answered with a slight shrug. "What about you? You look a little lost."

"I am a little lost if I'm being honest," Snowfinch said shyly.

"Well, before I offer any help, can I have your name?" The tom asked.

"Snowfinch," She answered gently.

"Are you a clan cat?"

"Yes, I'm the medicine cat of Irisclan."

"Huh, okay," Oceangaze flicked his tail tip. "Do you need help getting back to your border?"

"I-I wouldn't mind some help," Snowfinch said, shifting her paws.

"Well, let's get moving then!" Oceangaze said cheerfully.

The two turned around and began to follow Snowfinch's scent trail as they traveled back towards Irisclan. As they walked towards the medicine cat's territory, they chatted lightly, getting to know each other a bit. Snowfinch enjoyed Oceangaze's company, he was nice to be around. As they reached the border, Snowfinch began to feel hesitant to leave her new friend. She turned around and glanced at the warrior.

"Will I ever see you again?" She asked.

"I'm not quite sure," Oceangaze responded.

"Well, it was nice meeting you. Thank you for helping me back," The she-cat said, dipping her head. She tried her best to hide the slight sadness in her voice.

"You too, Snowfinch," Oceangaze said, dipping his head to her as well before turning around and walking away.

Snowfinch couldn't help but feel a little lonely as he padded the opposite direction. Any thoughts were quickly interrupted by a loud crashing and hissing coming from the bushes next to her. The white she-cat jumped back, startled. Out of the bushes tumbled two cats. It was Bramblestorm and an unknown rogue. They were rolling around, tussling angrily. The deputy threw off the intruder and jumped to her paws, shaking her coat.

"Whew- Oh! Snowfinch! Hello there! Where have you been all day?" The brown tabby asked. She spoke as if nothing had just happened and she hadn't just been wrestling with a rogue.

"Uh- I don't really think that's an issue right now, our new company looks a bit upset," Snowfinch said quickly.

"Bramblestorm- ack!" Brindleleap tripped out of the bushes after her, causing another crashing sound, making the medicine cat wince.

The rogue that Bramblestorm had just been fighting was sitting, hunched over, and growling while he licked his scratches and fur back in place. Zephyrrush pushed out of the bushes after Brindleleap, dragging a younger rogue by her scruff. Fortunately, he didn't fall.

"Don't you hurt her!" The older rogue snapped, jumping to his feet again.

"Relax, we won't. We have no intention to either," Zephyrrush said, releasing the younger cat's scruff. She scrambled to her paws and ran to hide behind the tom. "We just want to talk civilly, but you pounced at Bramblestorm."

"She gave me a threatening look!" The rogue tom hissed back, lashing his tail angrily.

"To be fair, you're on our territory and we have no clue who you are," Bramblestorm said, shrugging. "But really, no hard feelings."

Snowfinch padded to Brindleleap, who was now on his paws. She gave him a quick sniff, but relaxed when she saw there was no serious injury on him.

"Could you tell us your names?" Bramblestorm asked, flicking her ears impatiently. The deputy could keep a level head in any situation, but it was obvious that these two had been giving her patrol a bit of trouble if she was letting her irritation show through.

"Why should we?" The tom snarled, the fur along his spine beginning to bristle.

"Hey, hey, hey, look there is no hostile intent from us. The worst we could really do is just send you away with a few scratches," Zephyrrush said. "If you cooperate with us, we could help you. The she-cat, she looks hungry. I don't think either of you have had a proper meal in a long time."

The younger rogue dipped her head in embarrassment, and the tom flexed his claws in and out as though he were pondering what to do.

"Would you be able to give us food and shelter?" He asked cautiously, squinting skeptically at the patrol.

"Yes, but you would have to join and support our clan if you want long term food and shelter." Bramblestorm told him.

"Well what's so great about it?" The rogue challenged.

"It's an organized life, we care for each other, we learn and grow together. We're like one big family. We could use all the cats we could get, and you'll be treated like one of us. You'll have shelter, food, and friends. Maybe one day you may even have a family. We will protect you."

The black and white tom's gaze wandered around as he contemplated the deputy's offer. He looked at the younger rogue she-cat, and then back to the deputy.

"We'll join," He said with a firm nod. "My name is Wind, and this is my daughter, Peach."

"Follow us, we'll show you to our camp," Bramblestorm said, beckoning with her tail.

"Not to be uh- rude or anything, but how is she your daughter?" Brindleleap asked.

"Brindleleap! You don't ask other cats these things, that's quite disresp-" Zephyrrush's scolding was cut off by Wind waving his tail.

"I don't mind," The rogue said, shrugging. "I found Peach as a kit, she was abandoned by her mother and she was starving. I couldn't just let her stay alone."

"You have good morals it seems," Bramblestorm commented.

"I hope so," Wind sighed. "I just want the best for her, that's all."

Peach ducked her head shyly, pressing closer to Wind.

"Welcome to Irisclan," Bramblestorm said as they entered the camp.
