Nightfrost twitched her nose in amusement. It was hard not to smile and start to purr at Lightningpaw's energetic spirit. It was a nice day, and it was newleaf. She started to think back to when she had been an apprentice and her excitement at the ocean.

She looked at her apprentice, and smirked a little bit. She could tell she really didn't want to eat the crab.
"Yes, the elders eat first, but I did manage to catch something before I came here for the fresh-kill pile and there is plenty to go around since it's newleaf," she meowed. She pushed the crab towards the other apprentices, inviting them to try some. "Do any of you think your mentors would like to do some group battle training? I think you guys are ready to practice your moves on each other!" Nightfrost looked around, the sand would be excellent terrain to practice on - if you could master fighting on sand you would have an advantage over enemies who weren't as familiar with the terrain. Luckily the clan had been fortunate not to have too many unwanted visitors, but it always helped to be prepared for anything. Nightfrost hadn't had a good battle in a long time.
The future lies before you;
like a field of fallen snow.
Be careful how you tread it;
for every step will show.

They'll judge you by your past;
Which makes it do or die.
Unless of course my darling;
You spread your wings and flii.

Creamflower smiles as she listens to what Snakehawk said about her, purring at the compliments. "Thank you Snakehawk!" she said, blushing. "When I lost my kits, you were the first one to comfort me when I needed it. Ever since that dreadful day, you have always made sure that I was doing okay and healthy. You really mean a lot to me Snakehawk and I never want that to change."
