β€· moontuft's thoughts were sent reeling at the mention of ravenstar. he believed
in her story, in her dream, but could it really be what they think it is? a warning
from starclan? he grew up knowing the fabled afterlife as a mere kit's tale, told
to him by his mother when he misbehaved. for the clan to suddenly believe in
such a tale would be...difficult. but the alternative would be to remain ignorant
to whatever the truth may be, leaving the clan potentially vulnerable to an
unimaginable threat. suddenly sullen, moontuft spoke, "these times ahead are
going to be...uncertain. we know nothing of starclan, we are essentially going
in blind. preparing for a danger we know nothing of. no experience, no
connection to starclan. have we ever really questioned it? the nature of our
reality? do we honestly claim to know what lies beyond death..." yikes, he
was saying disturbing things again. "ah, i just mean, on the off chance that it is
true, it may be better to prepare ourselves. it's just...our lack of knowledge
could severely dampen our ability to do so."

β€· diamondpaw rolled her eyes. all this starclan business was getting on her
nerves. it was ridiculous to think such a thing existed. the apprentice maybe
wouldn't voice her opinions aloud, but she strongly felt that ravenstar had
worms crawling in her brain. "that's absurd, if there was such a place in
our territory, wouldn't we have found it by now? you're suggesting we go
outside the bounds of our border." somewhere she and the others had
never gone before. that notion didn't sit quite right with diamondpaw, yet
she couldn't deny her own curiosity. if starclan was real - and that was a big
if - then maybe such a place could be useful. and it wouldn't hurt that she'd
be one of the ones involved in finding it.

β€· tigerpaw looked for morningmist from where he was sitting in camp. where
was his mentor? the apprentice longed to get out of camp and train, whether
it be hunting or fighting. as his sleep addled mind cleared, he began to itch
to get physically active. sometimes the other apprentices thought him crazy,
but he loved doing duties and putting in the hard work. it was the only way to
improve yourself and become the best warrior possible. and yeah, maybe he
could be a bit rude sometimes, but he only wanted the others to take it
as seriously as he does.
