The pure brown male with the light brown eyes looked up. He looked to the she pups, then chuckled and looked to his own.

Kairie- hunter- Starris meadow- Tags: mate and pups, Merida

The white muzzled, cheeked, chested, bellied, socked, and tail tipped female hummed a bit. She watched all four of the pups.

Kaibba- pup (developed but wasn’t born)- Starris meadow- Tags: parents and sister, Merida

The white socked and tail tipped male pup blinked light brown eyes. He yawned a bit, settling down to watch the others play.

Saya- pup (developed but wasn’t born)- Starris meadow- Tags: parents and brother, Merida

The white chested, legged (and pawed), bellied, and tail tipped pup wagged. “Okay!” she barked in an excited way. She jumped at Merida, then looked to Anna. “Will she play too?” she asked Merida, thinking she’d know.

Slade- warrior- Starris meadow- Tags: Kierra and Reena, Cobalt

The gray and white male hummed as he watched his mates talk. He continued to let his ladies do the talking, they did it well.

The tan and brown female smiled sweetly as she talked to Reena. She nodded to Cobalt, saying “It was fun,” then looked up when he said his brother sent him...

The pure tan she wolf smiled as she and Kierra talked back and forth. She looked startled, and said “Your... brother did this to you?”

The ginger and white she wolf felt so young again up here. She smiled at her mate, and two of her young that had passed.

Merida glanced at the pale grey furred Anna, who’d been strangely quiet, but now sat just behind her sister, nodding. Merida spoke for them both. "Yeah, she'll play, though gotta warn you, if we play wrestling games, she won’t play FAIR," She warned. "She wants to win, no matter what that means."

Cobalt nodded. "He did. I don’t know if you were there in his rule or not. About six years ago now, I was Beta of the Fire Pack. I was the strongest, yet also the more fair of the two of us, so my father chose me of the eligible wolves, one of the few wolves he trusted. He and my brother were similar in that regard. And later, my brother did much good for his Pack, but he wanted to be Alpha. Our father thought him weak, and he proved he was strong, and was willing to do whatever it took, so one night...he killed me. He took me out to the forest to have a 'heart-to-heart talk' and...that forest was the last thing I saw. He did good for his mate and his Pack though. He was harsh, but in the end, he wasn’t the cruelest wolf one could imagine. He killed more than just me, and unless every wolf forgave him, he could not be here, but I forgave him a long time ago. It does not mean I don’t fear him. His name is Max, he was once the Fire Pack's Lead Warrior."

Merida shrugged. Her tail wagged behind her furiously. Nope. She hadn’t been quite this excited since Octavia had brought that nice Pup Rain to meet them! "What do you usually play?" She asked.

"Oh it was no lie. We had a heart to heart, and he didn’t get from it what he had hoped to. I know he never bore me...MUCH I’ll will so much as he wanted my role, and he did what he did to take it. My father respected him for being willing to do ANYTHING. I suppose he was the right leader though, because they’ve flourished under his watchful eye. Now the Alpha role is out of our bloodline. Though I see one, Max's eldest son, who seeks the throne. He seems a good enough wolf, as long as he puts his ambition where it can be used for good," Cobalt said.

"How do you play THAT game?" Merida asked. "Hunter and prey, I mean. Anna and I have never played that," She admitted, glancing briefly back at Anna.

"His name is Thunder. He’s the most ambitious- and the most aggressive- of his litter. He reminds me much of his father, which is somewhat frightening, and I can only imagine some of the wolves look at him the same way they looked at me. As if they were seeing Max instead. Thunder wants to be Alpha like his father before him, and I admire that, but he is a newly graduated Warrior who once sought to take on an Alpha." Cobalt shook his head. "His courage is admirable, but it must be better placed."

They would go collect the moss by the river, where it grew softest, and make the best possible nest! But first they had to get out of the tree, of course. "C'mon, then!" Fish tensed herself, then bunched her muscles and leapt down from the tree, landing neatly on her feet.
