"Why don’t the lot of you Pups go meet the other Pups while your mum and I talk?" Shadow suggested. There was certainly a lot to catch up on, and as afraid of it as she was, it would not be fair to Everest if Shadow lied and pretended to be the wolf she had used to be. She knew Everest had found her beautiful and powerful. She’d admired the way Shadow carried herself, but it was so different now.

Catania felt eyes on her, and looked up just in time to see her friend look away. She closed her eyes. It’s been three months...but he's still hurting. "Peeta..." She looked over at him. "I know we had our issues a few months ago. Are you still...upset with me?" She asked.

"Catania, don’t bother him," Jasmin scolded, but knew it would do no good. Catania did what she wanted. Jasmin gathered marigold and comfrey. "Peeta, I need you to hold out your paw. Talk to Catania if it helps distract you, whatever you need. I’m going to pull the thorn out and disinfect the area." As Batswirl spoke, Jasmin nodded and moved over. "You pull out the thorn, GENTLY. I'll work with the herbs."
